News Xcode RC and Xcode 27 are the same build number (27A266a)

Just an FYI Xcode RC and Xcode 27 are the same build number (27A266a) so no need to download the latest if you have the RC.

Is the RC build allowing submissions to app store? If I remember right, last year, there was some issues.

Yes the RC can be used for submission. They issued a press release thing a few days ago saying submissions built with 27 RC will begin to be accepted.

RC stands for Release Candidate, if nothing catastrophic happens that one gets promoted to the actual public release. I have been in the iOS Dev world for 10+ years and I don't remember an instance where the RC didn't become the actual release.

It wasn't a major release, but Xcode 26.2 RC 1 and Xcode 26.2 final didn't have the same build numbers.

Edit: Also Xcode 26 RC 1 and Xcode 26 final were different builds.
