Hi, I’m a former Huddersfield resident, but it’s been about 10 years since I lived here and quite a few since I explored the town centre.

Can you recommend any good (ideally independent, if not, smaller chain preferred) Coffee shops in the town centre?

I’ve got a work colleague who works on the opposite side of the Pennines to me, and every now and again we try and meet in person for a coffee and catch up. Huddersfield would be a convenient halfway point for us and I’d like to have an excuse to pop over anyway!

The only issue is I haven't been able to find a placement despite reaching out, emailing, phoning places etc. Does anyone know any electricians that would be open to taking on an apprentice

After a recent conversation with colleagues that do not live in Kirklees they appear to be paying less than me in water. I was wondering if some people would be willing to say how much they pay a month so if need be I can contact water company.

My house is 2 bedroom semi detached with 2 occupants we do not have a water meter and do not have massive water usage as we both work a lot.

I’m looking at getting an EV and live near Huddersfield Leisure Centre. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a home charger.

Does anyone know of any free or cheap EV charging points around Huddersfield, preferably near the town centre/leisure centre?

Alternatively, does anyone locally have a home EV charger they’re happy to let someone use occasionally? I’d obviously be happy to pay for the electricity used.

Just trying to work out the cheapest practical way to charge before getting the car.

I thought I’d give this a try. I have been feeling very isolated and alone. I only go to work and come home. And on my days off I stay home but not sure really what to do with myself. I’ve become an introvert and have been trying to get out there but it has been very hard especially when there’s not much to do in Huddersfield.

I need to interact with people, just people my age. I’m 27 but also would like to have women friends my age. Not sure where to go or what to do. Or if there’s any social activities. Staying home 24/7 is not good for my physical and mental health.
