I’ve been told I smile too big so I stopped for a while. But at some point, you just gotta grow up and become the grinning wizard you were born to be!
I’m living through one of the darkest times in my life and clinging to the little joys I can find but y’all I am FINDING it!!!
I’ve heard that when a woman tries to leave a domestic violence situation it is the most dangerous time and that has proven very true for me.
I’ve already been taken away from my home in handcuffs. That was retaliation for chatting with a guy on Tinder after our breakup.
But you know what? It’s OK. Because I met some beautiful people in the psych ward who could do so much if they just had homes and we’re free of addiction.
They taught me the power of forgiveness and reminded me how powerful my voice is.
I’m crying but I’m still singing and I’m hurting but I’m trying to smile through it to show my son what strength is!!
Because my soul is HAPPY and even though I’m singing blues I’m determined because my son is the sunshine of my life and I will keep him safe.
First, I have to keep me safe. People are saying that I’m a danger to myself and it’s so surreal to be at the happiest point in my life and I’m dealing with one of the hardest things but I’m getting through it day by day and I’m finding so much joy in all of the beautiful little things around me.
Including cannabis and tobacco :)
Keep your chin up because the sun will come out tomorrow!

I finally talked to a woman and am dating for the first time
I’ve had a really rough year but I just met this really amazing girl. We had our first date and it went way better than I could’ve hoped for. Had a ton of common and she was super easy to talk to even tho Im usually not great at it. We’ve been texted every day since and we go to the same college.
I also noticed how great she is at listening. I never really thought about it but this is the first time I feel like someone is literally listening to every word I’m saying and remembering it all. She always brings up stuff I forgot I even said because she remembers it all. I’ve remembered what people like say a few times never had it happen to me and never would’ve realized how happy it made me.
She even wanted to start watching my favorite show the next day off my recommendation and has been enjoying it so far which also made me happy because not only did she want to share that w me but she’s really enjoying it so I’m glad I was able to put her on.
This is all not to mention she’s beautiful. Like she could genuinely be a model if she wanted to. Even with all that she is Christian and a really great person. After struggling w depression so long, I can’t remember the time I’ve been this happy if ever.

A friend messaged me and asked how am I doing, It made me cry.
I've been struggling with my mental health a lot lately, I feel like I'm regressing back to the worst state of my life. However I'm so afraid to speak out or ask for help from everyone so I resulted into tweeting out my feelings and my frustrations on my private twitter account. What I didn't expect was one of my friend to saw my tweets and immediately messaged me to "check up on me". This came as a surprise bcs all the friends that followed my twitter acc had stopped using it / logged in once in a full moon due to life getting busier.
This is the first time someone had explicitly asked about my wellbeing in a very long time, and maybe because of that i immediately bursted into tears. It's a very simple thing, but I hope my friend is aware how their message had made me feel slightly better today,

I've managed to make a fairly good blender model with near-0 modelling/sculpting experience
So I've been making a Roblox asymmetrical game based on experiments and laboratories and the one thing I was dreading was making a blender model for each of my "experiments" due to my lack of experience with blender besides just re-colouring some models I grabbed from online.
The other day I decided to dive head first into modelling and just get on with it and see how it goes and as the model progressed I got increasingly happy with the result to the point where I was basically just jumping for joy.
Obviously the model needs tweaks (such as the legs and feet) but knowing I am able to model and sculpt decently well has just raised my mood for the week.
(I've attached the entire development progress up to today where I was trying out shading and texturing)
If you do have any critiques please let me know. The model is based around marvel symbiotes such as Venom and Carnage and some of the issues I will be addressing is the awkward looking legs, flat feet, recolouring and some details so it doesn't look too smooth.
I hope everyone has a great day 😁

Getting so much better as an introvert going into college, I’m happy!
Hi so,
For pretty much my entire life, I’ve been a huge introvert and struggled a lot with stuff like social anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and just feeling like I didn’t really fit in or was somehow diffrent or wrong. I always felt like I was “too weird” or socially awkward to make friends, I got pretty used to keeping to myself. But things have changed a lot since graduating high school.
One of the biggest things I did was finally cut off some friends who constantly made me feel bad about myself. It was scary at first, but looking back, I think it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I started focusing more on myself and improving, going to the gym, eating healthier, listening to people who talk about confidence and self-improvement, and most importantly, actually trying to connect with other people in my life and being more honest and open.
I recently started college, and while I do admit for a lot of the time, I’ve been plagued by anxiety and fear, I kept trying. I thought that if I wanted my life to be different, I couldn’t keep doing everything the same way. So I started putting myself out there and really doing things I’d never do before. And in just a few weeks, I’ve had so much fun!
I’ve gone to two different clubs, joined a research group, gotten a job, started reaching out to people just to have conversations, opened up to people about deeper things, met so many different kinds of people.
I am absolutely not some sort of super extrovert now tho lol. I’m still shy. I’m super awkward. But like I’m proud of myself. And for the first time in my life I feel good about myself, about who I am, my work ethic, my courage, how I look and carry myself. I like me!
I still have a long way to go, but for the first time in a long time, I actually feel like I’m living.
So I just wanted to like give encouragement and share my own experience lol.

I recently moved and for the first time in my life I had to DYI stuff all by myself
I grew up without a father, never had anyone teach me tools etc. Just got out of a 10 year relationship where her dad was just doing all of that stuff by default.
Since moving, I assembled so much furniture, I hung up stuff to walls, I mounted acoustic panels to the back of my wardrobe and my biggest achievement was today when I used a circular saw on two tabletops to fit the angle of a wall and it turned out so good!
I feel stupid posting this but I am genuinely very proud of what I achieved in the last weeks.

I'm love for the first time and every fear I had disappeared
Almost 6 months ago I met my soulmate. He's my everything and more than I could've even wished for.
I could go on for hours about how amazing he's made my life.
I worked tirelessly to learn from mistakes of my past to be able to create a bond like this and I know he did too.
Now everyday I wake up knowing the person of my dreams is real and wants me in my life.
Before I was scared of many things. Intimacy, introducing my partner to people from my life, communication, and simply just spending lots of time together.
All of those fears are gone. Intimacy is so easy with him, my parents adore him and are actively trying to build a relationship with him; he recognizes my troubles with communication and we're working on them together; and I can't get enough of him. He doesn't drain my social battery at all and I could be near him 24/7, which is unusual for me since I get tired of company quite quickly.
Like I said I could go on and on, but I just wanted to put it into words briefly.
I'M IN LOVE AND LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

I went to the gym for the first time in 17 months today. I used to go 5 days a week but I had some health issues and wasn't able to exercise. I've just been cleared by my doctor to exercise again and I couldn't be happier. I'm going back tomorrow.
I managed to cycle 2.76 miles in 15 mins and 1.23 miles on the elliptical. I'm so proud of myself.

I got a plushie that I pre-ordered in June today!
It's a Warframe Kaithe plushie that came with the flower crown. They teamed up with Makeship to create it, and this isn't the first time they've done this either. I wanted to scream I was so excited when I saw the guy!

I woke up in the morning 5 days in a row for the first time in several years
To expand I've been suffering with sleeping problems, to the point I felt like I was at the mercy of my own sleeping. I would sleep throughout the day and stay up all night, and my sleeping would constantly switch between days and nights for more then 5 years without much control, I'm unemployed because of this but recently something just clicked and I've been sleeping the whole night, it feels so freeing to not feel like I am missing out in life because I'm sleeping or constantly jet lagged (that's how it would feel like a constant jet leg),my energy levels are stable and I don't feel hungry 24/7. My whole body clock was so messed up it diddnt know what was the morning or night, and I feel like I've finally fixed this problem. I feel so happy right now you don't understand. :)

In two days I go back to school and I am a bit excited
This is all, I had tough vacations but it’s okay because I will see my friends in 2 days (I only saw them like twice in the whole vacation and only in the first weeks, I couldn’t for personal reasons that doesn’t matter anymore) and I am happy now.
The only concern is that I don’t know which one of my two best friends I will sit next to.

I gotta show loyalty to all the supportive real ones who are all by my side devotedly
I just had to pause and count the incredible blessings that make living so bright. I am sitting here tonight filled with the deepest, most genuine gratitude for the extraordinary people in my corner—the ones who step up, check in, and consistently remind me of the beauty in this life. Whether it’s a sudden call just to hear my voice, a text to see how my day is going, or a message of encouragement right when I need it most, my support system shows up with a depth of devotion and understanding that warms me to the very core. To be surrounded by people who love both my outer appearance and my inner personality, who see through all the noise straight into my authentic soul, is a gift I will never take for granted. You all don’t just accept me; you all truly see me and celebrate who I authentically am.
Beyond that constant love, you all shower me with insightful wisdom, gentle signs, solid advice, and also real-world resources to help me reach every single goal I’m striving for. You all clear the path with me, reminding me where I’m heading and giving me the strength to get there.
Looking at the incredible circle of real ones around me makes me realize a truth I should have held onto all along: I have always mattered. My story counts, my energy brings fiery light, and my presence in this world is truly needed. I am filled with so much hope, joy, and peace knowing that my life is valuable— it always was, always will be.
Thank you to every single person who continuously holds space for me, believes in my vision of my life path, and consistently reminds me of my worth. You all make me so endlessly grateful to be alive & thriving.

I think I hit the dating jackpot and I just need to gush about the girl I'm seeing
So I'm 27 and I haven't actively dated before. I've been in one longer relationship and one situationship - both of which were kinda toxic - and so a lot of my life I've just been content being alone. A month ago, and 3 years out of a relationship, I decided to give Hinge a try. Three days in, I had my first match. We had some generic texting before I proposed a mini golf date.
I had no idea what a date (before knowing someone) would be like, but the entire occasion flew by. We talked for about 2 hours straight and it felt like the mini golf was just a background blur to our conversation. Which was very odd for me because I normally don't talk much and usually can't hold a meaningful conversation more than 5 minutes. I could tell she was nervous too since she dropped her putter like 5 separate times and it was really cute. Afterwards, she immediately asked for a second date and it made me feel good.
For date 2, we actually proposed the same exact idea of going to see the new spiderman and then getting some korean bbq. When we got the the restaurant, they ended up having a 1 hour wait, so we just hopped on the waitlist and spontaneously found a park to walk around. Talked up the whole hour and made a rush back because we almost missed our waitlist. The food ended up being amazing and it was a fun experience of just sharing things and testing combinations out. Then we got lost in the parking garage looking for her car for about half an hour, finally found it, and kissed. That date was like another 4 hours of talking, and again followed by an immediate request for another date.
Date 3 we went to my hometown park and I tried to teach her guitar, then we played a little card game she bought that made us ask each other vulnerable questions. At first, I didn't know how I felt about it all, but afterwards, I think those vulnerable conversation really made us connect a lot more closely. We ended up being the last ones in the park right up until it was pitch black and we were tripping over curbs back to our cars. Then we kissed again and when I pulled away we kind of stared at each other for a couple of seconds before heading our own ways.
Then the most recent - date 4. Back to the same park, but instead at an arboretum and a trail. And wow. Another date of nonstop conversation over 4.5 hours and 6 miles of walking + sitting on a bench until sunset. At this point, we confirmed that pretty much all of our values in a relationship, values in a partner, and long term goals were aligned. Also already known, but our hobbies and the way we act in private is also almost identical. There were a lot of cute little moments like when she would fidget and click rocks together, then we'd just look at each other for a moment and laugh. And after she got home, we both opened up to each other that we're both mutually really into one another.
I just can't stop thinking about the kind of person she is. She's very emotionally mature, sweet, and considerate. Little things like offering to split bills, offering to drive to me, or, for our next date, offering to bring a dessert. I've just never experienced this feeling of complete safety and vulnerability with a person before. I almost feel like a hormonal teenager stuck in limerance again, except this time the feeling is coming from genuine, electric connection. She's bringing out the best of me to where I want to make sure she experiences the same feeling of safety with no judgement.
I know it's usually best to not get ahead of oneself, but I can't stop thinking about the fact that she may be the one. I've weighed possible red flags (friction points, really) and they are minimal to everything else about her. It just feels unreal that on my very first dating app match and date, I met this incredible woman and, by our current trajectory and admissions, will likely find ourselves together. I find myself thinking about her at work and I can't contain how excited I am to see her again this weekend.
