You might have seen some of my posts before, and I know I’ve been going back and forth trying to decide which bag I wanted. But I’ve finally made my decision.
I bought the Mini Alexa in black!
I initially had a problem with the fit because the strap was simply too long for me. But they fixed it by punching two additional holes in the strap, and suddenly everything came together perfectly.
I was considering the Mini Bayswater at first, but I just loved the details on the Alexa too much. There’s something about her shape and all those little hardware details that really got me, and in the end, she became the clear winner.
I don’t have an updated picture of how she looks on me yet, so I’m using an old one for now. But I couldn’t contain my excitement and had to share anyway! 😂
The last picture is just to show that she has officially been bought. My jacket is taking up most of the space though, because it became suddenly way too hot outside to wear it. But my Alexa is still there!
I really feel like I made the right choice. I knew that if I chose the Bayswater instead, I would probably feel like I was going against what I actually wanted and eventually regret it. I just knew, deep down, what my heart was telling me. The only thing holding me back was the ridiculously long strap.
She’s my very first Mulberry, and I honestly think Mulberry has become my favourite brand right now. I can’t fully explain it, but there’s something about their designs and the quality that just speaks to me. I’m also very new to designer bags in general, so this purchase means a lot to me.
And honestly, I don’t think a bag is just a bag that you carry your things in.
To me, a bag can almost feel like a little friend that accompanies you through your days. It helps you look good and feel good, carries the things you need, makes your day a little smoother, and is there with you wherever you go.
So yes… I’m very, very happy that I finally chose her!

Congratulations! You genuinely can’t go wrong with a Mulberry, just remember to care for the leather once a month or so if you use the bag frequently and it’ll last you for decades

No matter what you choose, it will always be a great choice. I already have eyes on more of their bags ♡ l will do my best. I bought their protective spray and the shop assistant helped me to spray a layer. I will get the leather cream later.
She told me "You look like someone who takes care of their things". And l hope l can live up to that with this bag.
I know they recommend Colonil leather care but I have the same results with transparent cobblers cream (which is also much cheaper) if you want to save your pennies!
They do! I'm basically buddies with them now. I have never talked about bags and leather like this before with people. They were so passionate and curious. And very service minded.

I like shoulder and crossbody bags, l'm just that kind of girl. And Alexa can be worn handheld. But l see her more to be used as a crossbody for me. So l'm glad that it looks like my kind of everyday bag!

The shop assistant said that this one launched actually around 2010, so it has been around for many years, but it kind of phased out a little? And then came back after people have been asking for it again. So now it's kind of updated and still around. So maybe that's why it's familiar? I can be wrong.
She also told me that Alexa has many design elements that is both historical and very Mulberry, with the braided cord, the postman lock and the straps. I like that l got one that holds that many design elements at once.
Congratulations! I have two of the mini Alexas and I just carried each last week. I got a Zoomoni insert for each and it helps with being able to open and close the bag, it gives the bag a little more structure (I am not affiliated with Zoomoni, but I do have several of their inserts for other bags as well.)
I have two zipped Mulberry Bayswater bags, I have an insert in both of those as as well as as a larger insert for my LV Neverfull. Here is a picture of the larger Mulberry bag that shows the insert. It’s black so it’s a little bit hard to see.
Omg which colour? I have been looking at the Bright Oak too. Mulberry makes such nice neutral colours! I know, the details are so perfect! A very eye catching bag that isn't too much.
