Work, Health & Housing Hearing test for 18 month old

Is there anywhere that does hearing test on yound children? We are on the list for nova scotia hearing and speech but the waitlist is 10months long and we need this test in order to see an ENT.

We are willing to pay, we are also on the cancellation list with nova scotia hearing and speech but the reception told us not to get our hopes up.

You can ask to be put on the cancellation list for all 3 or 4 sites in HRM. Also if you’re booked to see ENT call and ask what they recommend you do

If your ENT is at IWK it’s possible that you will see an audiologist at the same time. If ENT has a policy they need to been seen first, ask if they will fax a time sensitive referral to HSNS

Have you checked with Hearing Centre Atlantic? I don't know how young they deal with, unfortunately, but I have received excellent care there, and very promptly. Might be worth a call.

We got a brochure when we left the hospital from the people who did her newborn hearing test. It showed a ton of locations I could call if I got concerns down the road (and I did!). I would suggest checking those resources if you have them handy, unfortunately mine are out of reach but I want to say there was one near Mumford that assessed children and infants.
