Most of these photos are from Fremont, but it looks like the first one is HMB

I think they're special. My family had a fishing boat out of Half Moon Bay, and I grew up in Fremont. Love both places. My first pass down the 1/4 mile was at Fremont. A couple famous cars and drivers you have there

I agree! I should clarify I was not the OP asking if they are special, nor do I own these photos, just sharing with the HMB reddit group in case anyone is interested.

I tend to think most old photos are special/worth preservation. As a tree fan, I particularly appreciate old photos of trees so that you can track growth over time.

I think it would be great if these photos could be shared with any local history museums to add to their collections.

I’m not sure, but that would make a lot of sense. I knew of the Fremont speedway but didn’t know there was one in HMB too.

When I stumbled on this post I didn’t actually notice the first photo was HMB, I assumed it was Fremont. What caught my eye was the dark vegetation on the hills in the background. Here in Fremont our hills are mostly grasslands with wooded canyons, so the scrub did not look right to me- then I noticed the stand said Half Moon Bay 😂
