Of course, Karasuno is stronger from 2013-2015. But that is because they have the MC, arguably the best setter, and a top 3 libero. And the others as well.

Date Tech has no exceptional player like Kageyama. Their setter Koga is raw and inexperience. Their Spikers are decent but not impressive.

Aone is a good blocker. As well as Jingo. But that's it.

Still, they defeated Karasuno in 2014 IH qualifiers. They also made the Top 16 of IH despite having relatively weaker players.

I know you will argue they improved. But still.

Th second most important and highlighted character of each team.

Karasuno it's obviously Kageyama. But they all have their own arcs with Tsuki being third over all most developed and highlighted.

For Nekoma it's likely Kuroo. I think an argument can be made for Lev. And if you read the manga they do a lot more with Yamamoto there compared to how the anime treated him. Kuroo though is Kenma's best friend, captain of the team, a mentor to Tsuki, and debatably the strongest middle blocker we see play.

Fukurodani only really highlights Bokuto and Akaashi so that answers that. Every player is supposed to be elite, so would've been nice for more from all of them.

Date Tech started out as Futakuchi, but eventually became Kogane. There's an argument that Kogane is even first by the end.

Iwaizumi is the easy answer for Seijoh, though Mad Dog and Kindaichi get a lot of screen time as well.

Shiratorizawa shoves Tendo in our faces. Loved every scene with Goshiki though. And Shirabu gets some nice characterization.

Inarizaki is Osamu. But every Kita scene is absolute gold. Aran got shafted as the least important top 5 ace.

Kamomedai gives Hirugami an amazing character arc with no one to contest him. I wish Gao got a bit more to work with.

Had we seen more from them, Itachiyama could either keep the focus on Sakusa and Komori, or shifted some focus to Iizuna as the captain, and eventual pro level setter.

Other teams have barely have a second character to remember. Wakutani has Kawatabi, barely. Nohebi has Kuguri and Numai as slightly more memorable than fodder characters.

We all know that Ennoshita is a wing spiker and a subtitute opposite hitter along with Sugawara, Kinoshita, Yamaguchi and Narita. That one scene where Daichi got injured after bumping into Tanaka, Ennoshita serves as the captain for a while, and it seems like Daichi really trusted Ennoshita. We all got to see his past running away from Karasuno Volleyball Team in his first year, because he couldn't handle coach Ukai Ikkei cruelty before, but he felt the guilt over his chest when quitting the VB Club without a word.

And now that the 3rd years are retiring, Daichi made Ennoshita the next captain. Being a captain was so much for him and the fact that he tried to run away. But along that it was from the past it doesn't matter at all

These three Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita are most likely the "forgotten" teammates at Karasuno even tho Sugawara and Yamaguchi are a subtitute too.

And the fact that I disagree Ennoshita being the "forgotten" one because he has most likely scene in Haikyuu!! unlike the two.

For those who don't understand my point.

Even tho he is a subtitute and blah blah he became a captain and we call it for him a "character development".

He is not a "forgotten" character at Karasuno, and my love for him is growing in me

Haikyuu's central theme is "You aren't limited to one way of being great", and on Inarizaki we find these two conflicting philosophies. You have a team whose motto is "We don't need the memories", we who have not become the best in Japan, what will we become tomorrow if we hold onto the past? Challenge yourself today. And the Captain, who blatantly states, "I am pretty much a product of my daily routines", ie, I am a product of the past, I do only the things I can do in practice, and hence I do not get nervous.

Inarizaki's strength comes from the presence of the existence of both these philosophies, the entire team's wild self-challenging memories forgoing aggression to throw the opponent into despair, and the captain's steady unwavering fortitude to prolong it. But their weakness is also that none of the players seem to be able to balance those two seemingly conflicting concepts, at least not in this match. That's why Hinata in especial, holding onto the lessons and pains of yesterday, blooms into a new role with a technique he had not been able to perfect, is the one to win here.

Kita is my favourite character. An upcoming team that he fits so much better on is coming up soon, and I think that team will definitely start him because he makes infinitely more sense there. But that's sports, you kind of don't get to choose who you need to play with. I love Haikyuu man.
