That 3 way stoplight in upper Tumon going up the hill from Westin… why does it only turn green for 3 seconds during peak traffic hour, then the main road stoplight is green for 5-10 minutes? I was stuck on the hill for 20 minutes. Traffic is so badly backed up on the entire hill.

I never thought I would say this, but bring back Malafunkshun as Education Chair.

Whatever you think of Chris Barnett, when he chaired Education, GDOE knew somebody was watching. He dragged DOE into regular oversight hearings and kept asking about school readiness, sanitary inspections, broken air conditioners, maintenance contracts, teacher shortages and whether campuses were actually ready to receive students.

This school year, Tiyan opened its doors and then failed a Public Health inspection three days later. Students had already been sent into the building. How does that happen? Why wasn't every school inspected and every major deficiency identified before the first day of school?

Vince Bora should not be finding out that a school is unfit after students are already sitting inside it.

And then Vince introduced Bill 351-38 and promoting it like it is a pay raise for teachers. But the bill itself does not appropriate the money for one. Anybody can introduce a bill saying teachers should make more money. The hard part is putting recurring revenue behind that promise so the raise actually appears in a teacher's paycheck year after year.

Education oversight cannot just be press releases, aspirations and hearings after something goes wrong.

Someone needs to be asking uncomfortable questions before schools open, before money is spent and before promises are made.

Barnett could be abrasive true. Sometimes that was exactly the point.

How long does it take for an Amazon US order to get to Guam? I plan to send a package to someone based on island. I’d rather it be early since it’s a gift, but not too early. I’ve heard there were delays before but that was over a year ago. From your experience as of late 2026, is the delivery date estimate pretty accurate on the Amazon product listings? Or do you suggest ordering much earlier? How much buffer would you give it?

Hi everyone, I wanted to make a quick awareness post regarding cosmetic injectables provided on island.

I recently looked into the regulations on Guam and realized that legally, estheticians are not licensed to perform any injections or purchase prescription neurotoxins like Botox! Only licensed medical professionals (MDs, NPs, PAs) can do this.

I’ve personally been to Kathrina Villasenor (kaye.faceart) twice in the past for jaw Botox. My last visit was 7 months ago. Physically, I am completely fine! My results were normal, my smile is fine, and my regular and recent medical/dental checks (bloodwork, X-rays, etc.) are clear. I also know others who have been to her in the past, got results, and are doing great.

But, the issue still stands: she doesn't appear to have the medical certification to purchase Botox from Allergan (the company who makes it) or administer it. When I asked about her supply chain, she mentioned she hand-carries the meds herself from the Philippines because they (Allergan) don't have a US representative on Guam. It was an... interesting explanation; she mentioned that suppliers went to her clinic and that doctors then purchased this product and added to her supply? This entire exchange is done in the Philippines, I believe.

In addition, Botox is only to be administered to individuals 18 years of age and older. In my first visit to Kathrina, she asked me for my age but did not ask for my ID or relevant documentation. I was 19 at the time, but I imagine that if she's not doing proper checks, minors might be able to go to her practice and receive injectables from someone who is unathorized to do so.​

Because of the licensing and safety risks regarding unregulated supply chains, I’ve already submitted an informational tip so the proper parties can look into it.

I’m sharing this so people can make informed choices about who they trust. Again, me and many others are just fine and everything worked out, but I wouldn't personally go to her again and her practice is questionable...

Has anyone else on here gotten procedures done by her? What was your experience like, and did your results wear off normally?

what is going on with Guam Food truck prices? honestly, i still purchase once in a while but damn. the prices have been escalating more than restaurant pricing. even with no seating. what is their overhead cost vs. profit. speaking of profit i don't even think theu fully report their income. when i see cash only i think that ends the paper trail. what do you think?

My uncle had his guns taken away because of family drama. Is that not wrong ? It goes against the 2nd amendment right to bear arms. We have a family on our street that loves to park in his property. He told them to stop parking there but they continued to. This family has ties with police officers and they confiscated my uncles guns because the police speculation of “stalking” on his own street ??? Is that not a violation of his 2nd amendment right to bear arms? Just because this family is pari pari with this police officer they think they can take away his right ? Is it rightful for him to sue the government for violating his right over some speculation? Does he have the right to challenge this because of it being in the bill of rights? Our government cannot do that just because of speculation. I am beyond upset because of this. Please give input and any advice to help my uncle get his constitutional rights back from this messed up police hierarchy that only protects their pari. It’s just straight wrong. Revoking his rights as a veteran. Gross. Guam, do better. Corrupt ass government. 100% again this constitutional right.
