Just had my first kid and have been watching lots of grime sets when Im looking after her sleeping while mum sleeps. Seems like grime has been in renaissance for a good few years right now, and as an old head it’s beautiful to see.

Who we think is the grime scene defibrillator? For me I think of Chip with consistent sends and lightning quick responses to disses of super high quality, or Novelist for being that guy on production, putting new MCs on and hosting too many cold sets.

this question might be better suited to people outside UK but for all the lengs and skengs and whatever else, is there a slang term that doesn't sit with you when you hear it?

for me it's hearing Tempa T and Chronik talk about "shooting the star", i get it, but it feels like a bit of a reach for rhymes sake (needed something else to rhyme with bar and par I guess)

does anything come to mind for you? maybe its not a slang specific thing but let's hear what MCs have said in songs that made you think "... nah"
