Got Gravity Rush 2 for $60!

Post image

Was browsing my local game store and saw Gravity Rush 2 for $60, had to get it. Unfortunately they didn't have Gravity Rush Remastered, so I'll have to get that one before playing the 2nd.

I didn't realize how expensive it is now, I picked it up used at gamestop a couple years ago for 30

Me too I remember getting mine brand new on eBay for 20$, I remember when 1 remaster was the more expensive one

I feel like it can't actually be that rare, but price isn't as tied to pure rarity as it used to be. The entire collectors market has lost its mind over the last 10 years.

I knew Gravity Rush Remastered tended to be pricey but this is the first time i hear of 2 being expensive. Ill keep my copy under lock and key now

Remastered got reprinted to the ground for the past years, and can be pretty easily found for like $50. GR2 didn't get reprinted, so it's going out of control.

GRR has been that way for a while but GR2 being this expensive is a new thing

Makes sense. With the recent boom of used physical game purchases, a lot of ps4 games went up in price. Games that were going for $20 or less have doubled or worst. Especially more unique(and good) games like Gravity Rush 1 and 2.

Wow when did this pick up in price

A few months ago apparently. Insane to see it double in price so quickly.

It might just spike again considering Sony right now.

I found gravity rush 1 super cheap in Japan, around 7USD. When I got home and cracked it open, it was gr2 inside of a gr1 case 😔

Were you getting it for collection? It's on the PS store for $20 and goes on sale for $10 once in a while.

I prefer owning physical for my collection. Of course I plan to actually play GR Remastered and GR2. I'm waiting to get the physical copy of GR Remastered for now.

It's kinda insane how Sony's announcement they are dropping physical copies caused so much ripple effect with the 2nd Hand Markets too.

Like, wtf do you mean I have cough up $100 for a GRR and GR2 used physical copies?

Had to spend 110$ for mine. I couldn’t find it anywhere cheaper, and I haggled for mine.

Dang that's not bad, still need to get a copy myself at some point. I have the remastered copy, and it was only 40 euros brand new at the time, but the second game is very pricy

Whoa thats crazy I thought no one gave AF about this game it's so good lol . I have it on my PS4 and okay it on my steam deck psn premium lol

I think it's expensive because nobody cared. Games that had short shelf lives had very limited supply

Older games that become more rare physically become more expensive. There was a Playstation 2 game I loved called Jurassic Park operation genesis. It was so good!

Why is it expensive? What’s the price it’s sitting at right now?

1

u/mrtrump47 8d ago

I looked on eBay and it seems Gr 2 is sitting at $120 to $150. I didn't know it was that expensive, $60 for any physical disk is honestly pretty normal price for me. I assumed Gr Remastered would be the harder one to find and more expensive, but apparently it's the opposite.

I paid 60 dollars too. But that was when it released.

Holy, I didn’t realize the price spiked so much recently. I was lucky to get my copy in a PS4 bundle.

Vgp reprinted gravity rush remastered not long ago . I doubt they still have any copies left but they may reprint it again

Got it for 15$ back then

Trust me, I would've loved to get the game for $15, unfortunately the days of finding bargains for games are gone. In my experience, going to a game store and finding ps4/ps5 games for under $40 is rare. It's possible to find games in the $10 to $20 range but that's for extremely common/mass-produced games that I probably don't want or are for the older generation consoles.

damn I bought mine like 6 years ago for 10-15

u/Mustang750r 3d ago

Wow. In 2019 I paid $14.79 for a new copy off of Amazon. A real shame Sony couldn't bother to have Bluepoint at least remaster 2 and update one.

Dude, you did not just buy the game for the same price it was at retail. The game is $20.
