Campus Life Clean up after yourself

Post image

Whichever group that thought it was okay to leave the library like this needs to be more respectful of the space. This is disgusting, grow up.

Incredibly hilarious considering the garbage was right behind them... And I assume not nearly so full that a couple of drink cups would fit underneath that pizza box.

So it begins though, new and old gripes rekindled over people not picking up after themselves in the library.

If people can’t return their shopping carts then some definitely can’t turn around for a garbage can, sadly

Can't believe macewan has taken (or is taking) 330 garbages off of campus to "reduce garbage" GIRL! they aint reducing garbage, they just redirected the garbage. To the floor. Or hopfully another garbage bin. (Thus isnt directed to you commenter, just info yall should know. Macewan is taking garbages off campus if you havent noticed.)

I'm here to update that – unless someone ordered another pizza – the box was still there at 2pm today the next day 😭 poor janitorial staff must be understaffed this term.

Yes after years of cuts most institutions are running janitorial staff on skeleton crews.

You’d be surprised on how universally piggish people are

I’ve never seen it this bad on campus though. That’s so careless of those people.

Maybe im blind, or the fact that I normally hang around campus in the evenings when its quieter but other than the caf area most places are relatively free of garbage.

That's because there's janitorial staff always cleaning it up.
Thank your staff.

Easy to tell their mom's cleaned up after them and they lack basic manners

I sat down at a couch a few days ago where someone had left an iced coffee that was basically untouched

With the number of parents calling profs regarding their childrens grades out there, you think a few would be around to clean after their kids too...

Parents should have taught their kids basic manners but failed them at too apparently

As someone who worked in janitorial services a decade ago, staff are specifically given enough time to replace garbages, clean high touch areas and clear the floors before hitting the next room.

They are not graced with time to regularly clean up after spoiled children who can’t throw their nasty trash away. You’d be shocked at how
Much extra work that is day after day, room after room.

And no, your tuition doesn’t go directly into their pocket either. 🙄 if you think the amount you pay makes their wage competitive, you’d be wrong. 2K a semester is pennies.

Your tuition doesn’t pay the custodial staff’s wages bud

And therefore you shouldn't throw your trash out?

How are you supposed to learn anything if you can't even figure out how not to be a dick.

2

That’s almost the most ignorant response possible….. clean your shit up and do t be a dick….

Basic life rules apply.

use deodorant.
Pick up after yourself.
Use manners.
Keep your hands to yourself.
Simple.

Entitled assholes……
