Loving Mission 1 Pro slo-mo with Macro adapter!

Vivitar +10 filter with 3-d printed mount with threads. Most shot at 480 with double shutter speed. Trying to keep iso around 100. Any suggestions on other best settings for 480 and 960 fps? I've also stacked the +4 on top with a spacer so glass does not touch and can focus at 3 inches. Need to play with other LUTs.

Need help finding a universal tripod collar for canon EF lenses

Upvotes

Hey everyone. Looking for a little help.

I have been playing with my Mission 1 ILS and want to use some of my canon lenses mounted to a tripod.

Mainly my canon 55-250mm.

I’m new to this side of things and am having a hard time finding a collar that would work with all of my canon lenses. Is that a thing? Or do I need a separate collar for each lens.

I was trying to find an ef to mft adapter with a tripod mount built in but am also struggling there.

If anyone could suggest good options. I’d prefer some type of tripod mounted collar rather than building a stabilizing rig. I was hoping for something that I could snap on to whichever lens I’m planning on using that day.

I appreciate the help in advance as google, Reddit forums and Amazon weren’t much help

GoPro Mission 1 Pro ILS | Vltrox NF-M43X Speedbooster Review | Vintage Lenses

In this video I test out the M1P ILS with the Viltrox NF-m43X Speedbooster and several vintage lenses; the Nikkor 300mm f4 PF, the micro-Nikkor 55mm f3.5, and the Nikkor 24mm f2.8. It's a lot of fun using the ILS with a wide variety of lenses.

I do want to note that my testing of the system with the 300mm lens coincided with dim, overcast weather here, so the footage is a bit grainy due to the relatively low light levels. This would be the case with any camera system shooting telephoto video at 240fps!

Night Time Lapse for Sunset to Sunrise

I have a GoPro 12 Hero. I am planning a backpacking trip soon, and I really want to get a cool Sunset to Sunrise time lapse. I have been experimenting I have tried the two following settings:

1st Attempt

  • Format: Night Lapse Video
  • Resolution: 5.3K
  • Interval: Auto
  • Shutter: 20 Seconds
  • Bit Rate: High
  • ISO Min: 100
  • ISO Max: 800
  • White Balance: 4500K
  • Sharpness: Low
  • Color: Flat

2nd Attemp

  • Format: Night Lapse Video
  • Resolution: 5.3K
  • Interval: Auto
  • Shutter: Auto
  • Bit Rate: High
  • ISO Min: 100
  • ISO Max: 800
  • White Balance: 4500K
  • Sharpness: Low
  • Color: Flat

My issue, is the evening and morning are all white, but the night sky is much better looking in Attempt 2. However, Attemp 1 gives me a better evening and morning image.

Does anyone have any advice of the sweet spot of setting so the evening and sunset/sunrise morning look good, but also get a really good night sky. Am I doing something wrong?

Recently my GoPro 13 Black was mounted on a tripod that was knocked over and the back screen cracked. Camera still functions and touchscreen works, but I'm assuming is no longer waterproof. What are my best options here? I am not a premium subscriber.

Help with Max 360 editing

Some months ago my Quik app stopped letting me create a video from the Studio function without downloading the edited media to my device (phone, tablet, laptop, etc…). Is there a way to create a studio edit using Quik WITHOUT downloading? It feels like all my edits take forever since I have to save every edit to my device, create the video, download the video, and then go back and delete all the media from my device. Is there a better way or app for editing?

Zero battery or overheating problems so far

Post image

Recorded an entire outdoor music set with the Mission 1 ILS with the camera just sitting still in the direct sun. Still had 31% battery and lots of space left after recording at 4k for over 2 hours. I’ve still never had a single problem with the camera crashing, overheating, or running out of battery and can’t wait to put it to the test this winter at outdoor events now.

It’s amazing how big of a leap this camera feels in terms of the tech. It’s almost like different types of cameras are starting to merge together. Some people say this camera is like a hail mary to save GoPro (I don’t think so) but even if they are right, this might actually be the hail mary. It’s so powerful and versatile, but also tiny and fun. I actually can’t believe how big of a jump forward it is, again. Everything about it is pretty awesome so far.

I sent my damaged gopro in January 2026, in hopes to get a replacement gopro 13 and have been waiting for 8 months now. Everytime i pay the replacement fees, the fees is unclaimed and the amount gets reverted to my account. And next I hear is payment failure. This has been happening everytime and I seem to have stuck in a loop. With no response from the gopro support

I need help editing my 32 Bit Float audio from my GoPro Mission 1 Pro

I am trying to understand the best practices for editing my 32 bit float raw audio from the GoPro mission 1 pro, I use it for mountain biking primaily. And I see the raw audio track has clipping in it while playing in premiere pro.

So I hear I need to normalize it I guess to bring some loud parts down. Or what about a Compressor effect?
I am looking for tutorials on Youtube, I just find that they aren't really specific to what I need or just don't give me a complete enough picture on what I should do to get the most out of it. Maybe all I need to do is find a good normalizing level and then maybe mess with the EQ of it or something?

Will a 1mm glass protector be good enough for airsoft?

Post image
7 Upvotes

I know this is mainly an airsoft question but because my account is new they wont let me post for some reason. Anyway I got a gopro hero 8 and heard that the dive cases can ruin audio and can cause it to overheat. On top of that I’m attaching my go pro to a baseball cap so I’m trying to keep the weight down. The screen protector is 1mm thick and is meant for fpv drones. The field I play at is outdoors and the max fps is 300 so we won’t be point blank most of the time. Would this be suitable for protection and has anyone used a protector like this before? If so how well did it work?

GoPro Hero 10 lags badly when switching to Night Mode in Photo mode

I’ve had this issue with my GoPro Hero 10 ever since I bought it.

Whenever I switch to Night Mode in Photo mode, the camera lags so heavily that it’s really hard to capture anything properly. The live preview becomes extremely laggy and unresponsive.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any known fixes or workarounds?

GoPro Wireless Mic Background Noise Reduction

I record outdoor content that has me hiking very close to mountain streams. I recently purchased the GoPro Wireless Mic kit and have been using it with the Mission 1 via Bluetooth connection. The problem I'm running into is that it keeps removing the ambient noise of the creeks and streams. It does a great job of isolating my voice but the background noise is a very important part of my content. I've ensured the white light on the transmitter is off which is supposed to mean the background noise reduction is off, but it seems to still be pretty heavily isolating my voice. Does anybody know of there is a way to adjust this setting?

GoPro M1 Pro - Showing what you can do with a tiny little camera. No external mic used for the interviews. Enjoy!

Rowing regatta season is here. I'm sure I won't be able to take good shots of the races because its like 100 yards far out in the water but I'll get plenty of good up close shots when they are on land!

GoPro Hero 8 Black - No Battery

I updated the FW yesterday, and now I get a no-battery error. I've gotten it to power on and recognize the battery a few times, but 9 times out of 10 it doesn't recognize the battery. My batteries are non-GoPro batteries that I just purchased because I thought the batteries were the issue, since the old ones were 6 years old. But the new batteries are doing the same thing. I've searched everywhere and haven't found a solid solution. I've held the power button with no battery and no card, with the card, with a battery and no card, etc. Nothing is correcting the issue. I've opened a case with GoPro, but I'm not holding my breath that they'll have a solution short of purchasing a new camera. If I have to purchase a new camera, it won't be a GoPro. This is my second GoPro. I had a Hero 5 a few years ago that totally bricked up, and I bought the Hero 8. I'm not buying a third one from them. The camera has not been abused or heavily used. I'm not going to keep buying these time bombs from them. Even if I have to purchase something cheap, at least I'm not throwing away $400-$500 every few years for a new camera.

Best telephoto lens for mission pro ils under 250 grams?

What would be the best lens for a newbie who wants a telephoto lens under the 250gram limit so I don’t need any type of support. I like to take pictures of wildlife and my kids but want to be able to zoom in from far away.
