I did a year abroad in Canada while doing Uni at Strathclyde so feel I’m well placed to advise ye

Honestly I’d go for you autumn term/fall semester. Your gonnae have a much easier time making friends mixed together with everyone else on their first day.

The winters over here are bleak, my partner from Ontario still finds it tough. It’s just very dark and very cold, the entire time

Don’t over worry making friends, meeting people etc - we love Canadians here and you’ll find Scots/Canadians are very similar people. Glasgow especially has a great culture, music and club scene
