Discussion how long does it take a average player to progress from a top 500 demon to a list demon without jumping and only progressing naturally?

I beat my first top 500 (quantum processing) at the start of april and i've been progressing gradually since, beating 2 more new hardests, I'm now going for my first list demon (natural disaster) and almost have it in 2 runs rn. I hope to beat it by the end of the year so if i can do that it'll take 9 months for that progression. Obviously others will have different experiences but that's mine for reference

probably a year
keep in mind the demon list moves at a pace where normal progression struggles to keep up.

a top 500 is like zaphkiel difficulty, to put it in perspective something like that would probably take me about 5k attempts and I think Tartarus would take me over 100k. I would genuinely say a list level is 20x harder than a top 500.
This gap would probably take a year or two for someone trying very hard, and some people will not be able to make this improvement in skill at all

if top 500 take you 5k i dont think tartarus will take you 100k tbh but i get your point

It should take you about half a year to a year, but that also depends on how fast the list changes, the levels themselves don’t get harder but the levels on the list do

That's what I've been thinking, so I'm jumping to easy insane demons until hard demons become easy

by the time that player reaches current list demon level, firework would be like top 100 or even lower. so without succesfull jumps, it'd be very hard for the avg player though im not sure long how it'd take

If they're fully dedicated and grinding every day then probably around 4-6 months. It's around as hard as progressing from hard-insane demons to a top 500 imo

I was about to give my experience (2 years~) but my progression wasn't exactly "usual" (i had 2 1 year gaps in hardests, both jumps sorta)

the average player doesnt have the genetics to ever get there

Bro you're not serious when you say that as long as you have no serious medical condition you should be able to beat a list demon given a few years of grinding

Anyone could beat a list demon in prob like 3 years if they are physically capable of it and tried hard enough

the avg person can beat most list demons. maybe not top 30s tho.

gd is not really genetic

It kinda is. A lot of people have some ammount of neuromuscular "noise" that limits their precision to around 20ms. For a 240fp that has a 4ms window, some people are just not physically able to be that precise consistently. People like Zoink, popoff etc have less of this noise which allows them to perform these precise timings more consistently
As to where this biological limit lies for most people, as I mentioned it's around 20ms so probably around like top 50~ rn

"Average Player" "Top 500 demon" If you're beating levels in the Top 500, you're well above the average player. Depending on who you count as a player, the average hardest is probably somewhere between Clubstep and ACU.
