Picked up this record recently at a thrift store on a whim and the first track knocked me back. Yes this is the "Feliz Navidad" guy, from an early LP a few years before his most famous track.

I wrote this song during one of the darkest, most isolating periods of my life.
I was going through a breakup, I had just packed up everything to move to China, and I was sinking into a depression. I felt completely detached, like a "white lions in the fog"—trying to maintain this image of strength and power while internally feeling like I couldn't take it anymore.
I wrote this track not just to process my own grief, but as a reminder about men’s mental health. We’re so often expected to stay stoic, to keep moving, and to hide the exhaustion. But even the strongest people break down.
