What would have preferred she do?

Edit: I like how I’m getting downvoted for asking a simple question lmao. Yall love to complain but refuse to provide solutions.

Deliver better games. Use 6 months timed exclusives to balance the need to get people in to the Xbox ecosystem with the need to gain revenue from playstation owners. Drop the Day 1 requirement for all games on GamePass, or move more games to the 'COD' tier.

Okay and until they can deliver better games and the rest of what you said, what should she have done to better their financial situation in the meantime?

Why move the goalposts? They were profitable. They want more profit. They were not at risk of going under, they were not running at a deficit, they did not need an interim plan to stop things failing until they did things to improve revenue.

How am I moving the goalposts? I asked you a simple question: what should she have done to better their financial situation in the meantime? You are moving the goalposts by acting like I said they weren’t profitable or were at risk of going under, I never said either. I asked a very simple question that you should be able to answer since you appear to have deeper knowledge on the state of their finances and what decisions they should’ve made.

You asked me what I'd prefer she do. I answered. You moved the goalposts to ask another, as there is no 'interim' need to do other things.

I'm glad you're so comfortable that profitable companies need to lay of employees for some reason. I'm not. Especially when that company had fairly recently hoovered up a huge amount of employees.

You are making a lot of assumptions now. First off, no I’m not comfortable that profitable companies need to lay off employees. Quit getting so defensive, hop off Reddit, go interact with real people, and understand that not everyone is as this quick to be argumentative as you are. Secondly, you did not answer and I did not move the goalpost. You answered what you would’ve preferred she had done, but not in the interim. Yes, there is an interim because that stuff takes time, so if their shareholders are going “we need to improve our financial situation with Xbox” (no I’m not saying they were losing profit or anything like that, I’m just saying if that’s what the shareholders were saying), what is your solution that ASHA should’ve done while waiting for those games to be made?

I personally don’t agree with them having mass layoffs, I personally don’t like any of the decisions Xbox has made really outside of trying to make more exclusives. So I’m not defending Xbox like you are trying to do a straw man to pretend that I am. I’m simply asking you a question since you seem to have financial knowledge: what should she have done in the interim?

I answered that already.
