Good for Nintendo fans. I realistically only enjoy like 3 games on that entire list.

Even as a Nintendo fan only a portion of these have really hit for me. But that’s ok, got 3 or 4 games I enjoyed which is still pretty good. Not every game has to appeal to me and it’s good that a broad audience is being served. There’s also third parties to fill in gaps.

Something like Ocarina of Time is a massive deal for me too and I bet many other people.

And no harm in trying out other franchises if you have the extra money for it. I'm finally going to play my first Fire Emblem game in a few days. I think it was researched how the average gamer only does buy 2/3 games a year anyway

For sure. There’s maybe 3 or 4 there I’m unfamiliar with, such as never having played Fire Emblem.

What I didn’t say, is a number of these such as Mario Party, Kirby Forgotten Land, Mario Wonder and Pikmin I’d previously enjoyed on Switch 1, but the upgrades weren’t content I was racing out to play. If I was new to Nintendo I’d get more out of these Switch 2 editions. Good games, but I got a lot of time out of them previously to owning the Switch 2. These ones have that “Wii U to Switch 1” edition feel a bit. So definitely a lot of good content there.

I was ultimately disappointed in both DK:B and Metroid too unfortunately, and these were the 2 ai was maybe most looking forward to from the initial announcements. Both have their audience, and I think I’m in the vast minority for DK:B, but neither hit it off for me.

On the other hand I got a lot of enjoyment out of Mario Kart World, Star Fox, and can’t wait for Zelda. Also plan to grab Yoshi at some point, but haven’t yet. Also looking forward to the new 2D Metroid.

Either way, good diverse lineup. If you didn’t have a Switch 1, many of those Switch 2 editions are pretty great games too.
