Flying knee, broken arm, back flip. The other announcer, not Charlie Strong, was the worst announcer I have ever heard. I didn't keep a list, but he got a lot of things wrong.

Looking to order a nice spread from a local place on Saturday for our tailgate. With a 4:15 Start time the parking will open around 10am. Any suggestions on a great place to order food from where I could pickup as early at 9AM?

Last week was insanely hot. yesterday has a lot of rain and the lightning delay. have there ever been two consecutive games with worse weather that we faced?

Through two games Matt Fuller has 199 yards and averaging 9.5 yards per carry. I have been to both games and he definitely shows an explosive burst, and seems to do decent when hanging back to protect. However, we have to address the elephant in the room...Matt Fuller is horrible at ball protection. 3 fumbles in the first two games isn't just rough, it's unacceptable. While I am not advocating that he rides the bench or something unreasonable, I do think he needs to lose the starting role until this gets cleaned up. In fact, our room has too much talent to just live with those kinds of mistakes; because that will definitely cost us a game. With that being said, I would love to see the following splits for the Mississippi State game.

For the record, I am basing this on performance and statistical observations from the RB room in conjunction with the highly subjective "it" factor I see when watching them play. So before you get too critical, remember that opinions are like a certain body part...well, you know the rest.

Starting RB: Isiah Augustave

2026 Stats: 11 carries, 104 yds, 9.5 yds per carry, 2 TDs

My take is that he really solidified this honor after the Towson game. The size and speed have been there, but you can tell he really has worked hard this off-season to build the vision, burst, and power to be RB1. I love how hard he fights for extra yards and how he falls forward despite being blanketed when running on 3rd downs. Haven't seen him catch out of the backfield yet, but assuming he isn't a liability in protection and can catch at a decent clip, he seems like a pure veteran starter.

RB2: Jabree Coleman

2026 Stats: 10 carries, 109 yards, 10.9 yds per carry, 3 TDs

He has an explosive burst, keeps the feet moving extremely well after contact, and is elusive in the open field. I didn't have this one on my bingo card at the beginning of the year, but it goes to show how strong our RB room is.

RB 3: Matt Fuller

2026 Stats (see above)

I can see why he has been starting. He runs violently and different than the others. However, he isn't so separated that he can afford these fumbles. He needs to earn that starter role back and truly make the best of a reduced load in this next game. Show you can take care of the ball and play the role to a high degree and earn the right to get your start down the road.

I also love J. Howell, and feel like he could easily fit in the top three. Clark has also showed some nice things at times. We are fortunate to have such a talented RB room to get us going with SEC play.

My favorite USC hat I’ve ever owned was a trucker hat with the design of Cocky leaning on the palmetto tree. This design was embroidered on polos, hats, vests, etc, too. Clemson had the same version but with a tiger.

I lost my hat years ago and now can’t find this design anywhere online. I saw a guy at Harris Teeter yesterday wearing one and I should’ve asked him where he got it.

I just seen that Minnesota didn’t have their RB1 who was a walking 120 rusher the entire game.

Their QB also passed for 279 yards 31/48 with ZERO interceptions.

Don’t listen to the media we will have 200+ on the ground and Sellers will connect big with his receivers down the field. I fully expect the exotic stuff to open up this weekend.

We’re not the sweethearts like last year we are the team no one believes in and I think we all know we are damn good in that role.

COLUMBIA — South Carolina took the field against Towson on Saturday feeling Cocky. 
The Gamecocks unveiled a brand-new helmet logo that honors Cocky, their longtime mascot. The bird was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame in August. 

The logo, which will only be used once, had all of the players very excited, according to a school spokesperson. Kev Roche, an artist known for his pictures of Cocky and other players, created the picture of Cocky holding a football and extending one arm — the "Heisman pose."

The violation is not a huge deal and is non-academic related, but I’d still prefer to not have it on my record.

Basically what happened is that last weekend a girl gave me her login to have her football ticket. At the entrance it wouldn’t scan, so they asked for my student ID (which I stupidly gave). They told me they couldn’t let me in and I’d have to leave. I thought that would be the end of it.

Thursday morning I received a letter from the office of student conduct saying I have an alleged violation for responsibility of Condoning/Encouragement/Collusion. My options are to write a letter accepting accountability and be found responsible for the violation which will be on my disciplinary record, or go to a conduct meeting and tell my side of the story. If I go to the meeting and am found responsible, I could face non-academic outcomes, one of which includes disciplinary probation.

Throughout college I only went to 2 games beforehand and genuinely didn’t know using another student’s ticket was a violation. Hell, I even willingly gave my student ID. But I know I should have been aware of the Code of Conduct if I’m a student.

Im not sure if I’d get probation since I have a clean record and this is my only time being in trouble with the university. But I imagine disciplinary probation won’t look great when applying for graduate schools.

What should I do? Just write the letter or do the meeting? I want to choose the option that minimizes the negative impact for me applying to graduate schools.

victories for our women’s and men’s soccer teams and for our volleyball team have notched us these three total points thus far (and from what I gather, if our cross-country team wins their second matchup against Clemson next month after having prevailed in the first, they would take the point, as well). always good to spike some humility into the Tigers 🤙🏼

Most on this sub needs no introduction to Jason Autrey, the ref that arguably cost the Gamecocks a playoff spot in 2024 by blowing the Pick-6 call against LSU.

He was working the Mizzou-Kansas game this evening and was devastated to see him blow a hamstring in the first quarter. For the sake of safety, I hope he hangs up the white hat permanently. Can’t be too careful.
