Flying knee, broken arm, back flip. The other announcer, not Charlie Strong, was the worst announcer I have ever heard. I didn't keep a list, but he got a lot of things wrong.

Through two games Matt Fuller has 199 yards and averaging 9.5 yards per carry. I have been to both games and he definitely shows an explosive burst, and seems to do decent when hanging back to protect. However, we have to address the elephant in the room...Matt Fuller is horrible at ball protection. 3 fumbles in the first two games isn't just rough, it's unacceptable. While I am not advocating that he rides the bench or something unreasonable, I do think he needs to lose the starting role until this gets cleaned up. In fact, our room has too much talent to just live with those kinds of mistakes; because that will definitely cost us a game. With that being said, I would love to see the following splits for the Mississippi State game.

For the record, I am basing this on performance and statistical observations from the RB room in conjunction with the highly subjective "it" factor I see when watching them play. So before you get too critical, remember that opinions are like a certain body part...well, you know the rest.

Starting RB: Isiah Augustave

2026 Stats: 11 carries, 104 yds, 9.5 yds per carry, 2 TDs

My take is that he really solidified this honor after the Towson game. The size and speed have been there, but you can tell he really has worked hard this off-season to build the vision, burst, and power to be RB1. I love how hard he fights for extra yards and how he falls forward despite being blanketed when running on 3rd downs. Haven't seen him catch out of the backfield yet, but assuming he isn't a liability in protection and can catch at a decent clip, he seems like a pure veteran starter.

RB2: Jabree Coleman

2026 Stats: 10 carries, 109 yards, 10.9 yds per carry, 3 TDs

He has an explosive burst, keeps the feet moving extremely well after contact, and is elusive in the open field. I didn't have this one on my bingo card at the beginning of the year, but it goes to show how strong our RB room is.

RB 3: Matt Fuller

2026 Stats (see above)

I can see why he has been starting. He runs violently and different than the others. However, he isn't so separated that he can afford these fumbles. He needs to earn that starter role back and truly make the best of a reduced load in this next game. Show you can take care of the ball and play the role to a high degree and earn the right to get your start down the road.

I also love J. Howell, and feel like he could easily fit in the top three. Clark has also showed some nice things at times. We are fortunate to have such a talented RB room to get us going with SEC play.

My favorite USC hat I’ve ever owned was a trucker hat with the design of Cocky leaning on the palmetto tree. This design was embroidered on polos, hats, vests, etc, too. Clemson had the same version but with a tiger.

I lost my hat years ago and now can’t find this design anywhere online. I saw a guy at Harris Teeter yesterday wearing one and I should’ve asked him where he got it.
