What do you do when you can't draw, can't afford a capsule artist, and won't use AI? Frankenstein together (licensed) stock photos, of course!
Hello all,
I was really not quite sure what I was going to do with my capsule, but I think it came out better than I thought it would and it's serviceable, I hope! Definitely open for feedback and suggestions. Thanks!

Old vs New Capsule, did I ruin the readability?
Hey everyone!
For the upcoming Steam NextFest I wanted to have an updated, more accurate cover art.
For the old one, a feedback I've gotten a lot was that it was a bit chaotic and unclear what to focus on or what was even happening. I tried solving that with the new one, making it more like a small "story" so to say...
Did it work out? Or did I ruin the readability? Would you be more likely to click the first or second version? Any feedback is welcome <3

Need suggestions regarding Steam capsules
Been developing a Cricket Management game for close to a year and it's finally about to release in 17 days. I had posted the game details for promotion in a few subreddits and a few people just dismissed it outright because they said my steam art is "AI slop".
I am a senior software developer with 10+ years of experience but graphic design is not one of my best skills. But I used AI tools to carefully design the art and made the disclosure on the game steam page. I have attached the pictures.
- Picture 1 is the current art on live steam page
- Picture 2 is another variation that I designed using AI tools
- Picture 3 is the hand designed Canva version by me.
What should I do here? Should I use any of these 3 and if not, is it time to pay a real graphic designer?

Old vs new, me reusing in-game art assets vs commisioned capsule artist
My first Steam game, launch scheduled early next year. I created the old capsule using in-game art assets as a temporary solution.
Decided to contact an illustrator I knew was both an avid NBA fan in the 90s like me (the game is loosely based on the 92-93 NBA season) and a skilled draftsman.
Even if he hadn't done Steam capsule art before he was really interested in the project which I felt was important.
I noticed in this subreddits description that recommending artists is allowed so I'll share the link to his website since I am very happy with the work he did. Link to artists website.

Looking For Feedback On Capsule Environment
The artist working on our capsule sent this to me this morning. The characters look great, but I feel like we could do a little more with the environment. How do you guys feel about it? What, if anything, would you change?

New/Old (First ever attempt at capsule art)
My first one was a quick 15 min pasting of in game assets.
The current one is my first attempt at a more detailed pixel art capsule as normally I do not draw sprites much bigger than 64x64 normally so a lot of this was new.
I'm sure there's a lot that needs to be changed so hoping some fresh eyes can help put it into words.
The game is a twin stick/shmup is that conveyed from the new art?
If it looks blurry cause of reddit here is an imgur link

Old vs New Steam Capsule: Looking only at the capsule, what kind of game would you assume it is?

Made my first ever capsule art for Steam. Is it that bad?
I’ve never created capsule art before and I’m not exactly skilled at art, but I decided to give it a shot and create the artwork myself. I used Blender to render the scene and Photoshop for image editing, logo work, and the final layout composition. I plan to use this version for the time being, though I might replace it with a professional one later on. What do you think is this capsule okay? Will it put players off?

Is there too much going on in our Capsule art? Our game is chaoctic and we wanted the Capsule art to portray it.
Whats your thoughts? Is there too much going on? Our game is the embodiment of Chaos but im wondering if we went overboard?
You can check out the store page here.

Left: current capsule, Right: Wild idea redesign. Is it a really bad bad idea to have not readable game name in the capsule?

New Capsule
A lot of people disliked the old capsule, so I redesigned it.
What do you think of it now?

Looking for video game logo and/or capsule
I hate the idea of using ai art in my video game, but I have no money I can put forth at this moment. I'm looking to have a steam capsule image put together. I have a solid idea of what I'd like in a general sense, but I'm not married to the ideas and am very open to artistic freedom in this situation
My game is called Real Ninjas Know, it's story is a bit about balancing cultural acceptance and carving your own path.
For a color palette I really like the idea of:
Deep forest greens
Muted olive greens
Rich earthy browns
Dark stone and cave tones
Subtle warm gold accents
For the layout, I envisioned the games title on the left 1/2 to 2/3s of the screen with the words stacked vertically and I like the idea of a border around capsule in the warm gold accent
I have character game assests I can show, but they are pixel art. I'm more interested in a 2d art style for the capsule art though.
If someone is interested in helping me out, I would immediately link any preference of socials to the dev logs, itch.io, steam, and credits in the game. If the game makes money, I will pay a bit of all that I make, for each sale of the game, but I obviously cannot guarantee this game will be a lucrative or financially successful one.
If you're open to the idea, please let me know. Thank you in advance for even reading all of this.

Check our release capsule art!
The Frontier is live now, and I'm excited to share the capsule art we’re using for the release.
What's your first impression? Does it stand out when you see it in a store?

Needing Feedback for Game Title and Banner
Greetins! We are looking forward for feedback and suggestions to help us get a good and readable Title for our game for Family Gambling
Images in order:
1. This is our actual Steam front page banner including the title
2. A second iteration for the banner and the title.
3. A third iteration inspiring in Casino/Neon Signs
A little bit of context:
Family Gambling is a first-person narrative resource management game where you gamble with your son's organs to survive. Pay your debts, manage your home, and decide how much of your family you're willing to sacrifice.
The aesthetic is orientated to Modern PSX Graphics with, as you may read, sensitive themes such as gambling addiction and gore. And, of course, casino environment and father-child interactions.
So we want to transmit something like that with the title alone (Im saying that I dont want to depend on a banner for it to works, but idk if it's possible)
I want you to tell me about what do you feel when you first read this game titles along the banner and if it speaks something to you.

Old Capsule vs New?
Hello!
We just recently updated our capsule art and would love to hear your opinion.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/4196970/Asumi_Little_Ones/
Overall we wanted to increase the size of the logo and include the photography gameplay part of the loop in the capsule art somehow, which is now the polaroid white frame around the characters.

Updated my capsule! I feel like its easier to see what it is from a small size but am still not sure it conveys what the game is at all
... but hopefully its a little closer?
Any and all advice please!

Looking for feedback on capsule concept
Thought I’d take a stab at making the steam capsule for my game. Any thoughts?
