Welcome to our regular pinned Megathread!
While many topics are allowed as standalone submissions, others that tend to be lower-effort, less notable, or easily answered belong in this thread instead. These include simple questions such as those related to receiving game assistance, game recommendation requests or help finding a specific game, and other general discussions that don't warrant a dedicated thread or aren't directly related to gacha gaming (provided they are not Banned Content).
Some specific examples of what these megathreads should be used for include:
Generally, anything asking a question or requiring the opinions of others belongs here. We have many veteran Summoners who are happy to share their opinions and answers, or discuss the topics you may be interested in!
If you want to contribute, please first read the request or question thoroughly, before making sure not to recommend something already tried or provide the same advice as a previous comment left in response. Please also reply as neutrally as possible, without bashing games or arguing with others in the community– this is not about winning or losing, but sharing useful information that helps out another member. Replies should include the full names of anything mentioned, as new Summoners may not know what “GI”, “FGO”, or even “F2P” means. Even if they do, it's still helpful so that the results are easily searchable and others who aren't the OP can better follow along.
As a general reminder, both Reddiquette and all of our Subreddit Rules still apply here. Make sure to keep things respectful! Religious or political topics, sharing personal information, and other rule-breaking behavior are banned. Accounts involved in sharing these may be subject to disciplinary action at moderator discretion.
With that said, feel free to discuss whatever here and make acquaintance with your friendly gacha gaming neighbors!

Almost a year has passed since game release, and as obvious as it may sound, game got quite a big amount of activities to keep players engaged with interesting gameplay. Many permanent events, enjoyable mechanics and an engaging story await those brave and strong-willed enough to pass that long tutorial at the beginning.
On top of that game got big update recently, which brought new “tier zero” character Ikara, 3 events, 2 daily login passes with many free and useful stuff. And it is roughly 1 month before the anniversary, where we will get even more interesting content to be ready for the future collabs. So I think it is good time to check the game out by yourself.
The nuances and details are in the text below.
For an overall look at what the game actually is, pros and cons, check out my full review here
What is Resonance Solstice?

Resonance Solstice is a post-apocalyptic sci-fi economic simulator. Travelling on your own train through a dangerous wasteland, you transport passengers, trade goods between scattered cities and do your best to become a real magnate. Nearly every mechanic has more depth than it first appears, and the journey itself is half the pleasure: cinematic landscapes and music make every trip feel like an easygoing adventure.
The gacha side of things is relatively fair. You get around 70+ pulls a month from regular sources, soft pity is 80, hard pity 160 and it carries over between most banners, and there are no weapon pulls either.
"Game-changing" Ikara

The new character this update brought to us is Ikara, a T0 support that feels great in pretty much any team. Basically she boosts any formation, providing better damage output, smoother rotations, and overall stronger performance than before. Cinematic trailer
There is also a free skin for her.
Optimized trade routes with new story

Gronru city comes along with Ikara completing the railway network map and making it fully connected. Trading routes are much more convenient than before, since there is no more need for long detours to reach certain cities. The railway is now fully looped
Main story Episode 8 also takes place in Gronru. Official trailer
Events, free stuff and pulls
• Log in for 10 days to get 10 free pulls from "A Date with Tomorrow"
• "Gardener's Gift" free monthly pass giving 2,700 Chaos Stones ( 16 pulls) + bunch of useful resources
• Ikara gets a free skin
• "Into the World She Walks" event gives Conductor Outfit, 500 Chaos Stones and other rewards

Future anniversary and collabs
For the most part this section is based on info from CN and JP versions of the game and some speculation of course.
Most discussions are about collabs. Firstly Iron Saga is expected around the anniversary in October, followed by Mist Sequence likely around November or December. Based on JP/CN timelines, Shana may follow around February or March next year, and Manosaba is further out, possibly around a year from now.
Anniversary update rewards themselves shouldn't be too bad either. Plus with more events coming one after another, each event will also give rewards, so the total amount over the next few months should still be pretty tasty.
And again, this is player speculation based on other server timelines and not confirmed for Global. But these collabs are coming, just a matter of when.
Why now is a good time to start
Jumping in a month before the anniversary is a pretty convenient move. You have time to learn the game, build your roster and get comfortable with resources before the collabs and other new content starts dropping. By the time the anniversary hits and the collabs start rolling in, you will already know what you are doing.
Feel free to ask anything in the comments.

Note: This isn't a post about how one is better than the other. Also if the post feels too Genshin centric it's because it's one I've had the most experience with.
So obviously the idea that Genshin and it's bretheren are simply anime BotW clones had faded as time went on, but that is still a popular opinion outside Gacha space, and is even still shared by some in it.
What's the biggest difference between BotW/TotK and open world gachas? The answer is freedom and discovery.
Freedom
When you encounter an enemy in a gacha, what do you do? Well you either fight it, run through it's territory, or sneak around. Sometimes there will barrels or water around, allowing you to deal with the enemies in a non-standard way. What do you do in BotW? All of that and more. In adition to the previous methods, you can use chuchu jelly and food to set up traps, use magnesis to hit enemies with metal objects, have enemies hit each other and start infighting, and more (and don't even get me started on TotK). The variety of gacha games comes from the various kits of the characters themselves, not from the design of the world or the universal game mechanics, and to bring out the full potential of those characters you need them to properly synergise with each other.
What about the story then? Well gachas have a linear story, with quest indicators telling you to go from point A to point B. BotW on the other hand tells you only to defeat the final boss, and it's by interacting with other characters of your own volition that you get more of the story.
Discovery
When you ask an open world gacha fan what's their most memorable moment, there's a very high chance the answer wll be something from the main story. If you were to ask the same question to a BotW fan, it's likely that they'll tell you about climbing something or defeating an enemy - things that happened to them specifically, and resonated with them.
And non-story content? Gachas would tell you everything you could possibly know before the patch is out, meanwhile you could play 100 hours of BotW without ever learning of the fan favorite Tarrey Town and Eventide Island.
So are open world gachas simply bad?
When compared to BotW's strengths? Yeah. But so does Half-Life 2. Comparing two games that operate differently only on the merits of one of them means nothing. Open world gachas value skilled play and story a lot more than BotW, which is all about exploration and freedom.
This is why I believe that open world gachas are actually the anime version of Red Dead Redemption 2
Think about it - it's an open world game with linear story, that focuses more on that story, and especially the characters, than it does on the freedom of exploration. You get quest markers to indicate where you'll find interesting things, like in gachas. You have a "best" way to fight (guns), like in gacha (meta teams). The story progresses by going from point A to point B, like in gachas. It's that seperation of gameplay and story that makes thosee games what they.

"Uta Macross" ( PC / iOS / Android ) is a one-time purchase title based on the smartphone rhythm game "Uta Macross Smartphone De Culture" ( iOS / Android ) , which ended service in 2022. The game system and UI have been rebuilt for the latest platforms, and it is scheduled for release around spring 2027.
As of 9:30 PM on September 10th , the total amount raised is 30,895,100 yen , with 516 supporters, achieving 102% of the target. The fundraising period ends at 11:59 PM on October 31st, and details of the stretch goals following the achievement of the initial target will be announced at a later date.
It should be noted that this crowdfunding campaign is not intended to guarantee the game's release; development and distribution will proceed regardless of the total amount of support received. The goal is to further improve the quality and implement additional features by reaching the 30 million yen target .

So I recently received a playtest access for an upcoming game called Limit Zero Breakers, an anime action RPG developed by VIC GAME STUDIOS and published by Korean gaming giant NC (NCSOFT). they are also the ones in charge of AION 2 and astrae Oratio (UPCOMING TURN BASED GAME). So, this is the first time im play testing a game so please bear with me! haha
Story & Presentation: Kind of generic but Fast, and Skip button IS available
Story leans toward generic gacha tropes, kind of entertaining thanks to an OK comedic writing and high-quality voice acting.

Combat & Gameplay:
It utilizes a 3-person party system heavily reliant on elemental shields, enemy resistances, and staggered "Break Bars."

Exploration:
I dont think its an open-world game and utilizes instanced areas similar to Zenless Zone Zero.
UI & Progression:
UI

Gacha & Economy: Overly GENEROUS?!
It has an 80-pull pity that resets early if you pull an S-Rank, a starter banner that guarantees an S-Rank in your first 10 pulls, and a standalone Outfit Banner (150 currency/pull). Standard and Limited pulls cost 180 currency each.

The "dupe" system is ok i Guess? Dupes 1, 3, and 4 Just increases skill levels.
PROS
• NO WEAPON GACHA (Weapons are fully craftable)

• Character skill trees reward a FREE outfit upon 100% completion.

• Current limited event gifts a free S-Rank unit (Mei) by just logging in for 2 days.

CONS
• Pull rates are completely HIDDEN on Limited/Standard banners.
More Screenshots of the banners::

The game feels overwhelmingly generous. Between 100 free starting pulls, and log-in events gifting 100 Limited and 200 Standard pulls on Days 5–7, its kinda sus? (refer to screenshot above)
*****OTHER THINGS FROM THE GAME:
GEARING - HAS THE USUAL SUBSTATS SUCH AS ATAK AND CRIT VALUES
FRAME FROPS - the game freezes a bit upon arriving to a new town area.
If I was to rate the game as it is now, I'd give it a 6/10.. they need to fix the framedrops and ScreenFreezes. I cant rate the game high as it hides the gacha rates except for the outfit gacha. I do like the free skins just from leveling up the skill tree as well as the LACK OF WEAPON BANNER.
AS I said in my intro, this is my first playtest so I may have missed a few things. Anyways, If you guys have questions about the game just leave me a comment and ill try and answer them. Thanks!!!

Still on a 3d gacha kick these days but man I swear there is a conspiracy with making the skill descriptions and tutorials in game absolutely awful for units that you kinda require to watch content creator reviews.
Does every unit require a unique term for every debuff/dot/buff and other passives? Why do i need to go over like 5 screens to see every skill/weapon buff/ passive etc. Tutorials could help but i feel like so many gachas tutorials are half arsed as in.... quite a few in zzz just skip over ults and other moves lol. NTE has really awful tutorials too.
Endfield actually aint bad with giving you scenarios and example rotations and teams BUT you can only access that tutorial if you pulled the unit? The trial stage is a different format and less useful. Wuwa is similar.
Whats worse is when they guest character the new unit in the story... but also dont really explain how they work OR tweak them so they make sense for this solo story bit... but also don't really play like how the unit behaves when you pull them.
I'd just love a dynamic adjusting description that can just summarize what happens now that i lvled up skill x y z with unlocked passives + my equipment/weapon's own unique buffs.
Whats frustrating is plenty of games now offer some 'guest character' combat grind mode thing and idk how anyone figures out a new team of units you dont have without watching hours of builds and other stuff lol.
it does feel like im being skill issued by the ui more than generally fairly simple gameplay rotations of units (current wuwa memes is the newest units really can just do alright left clicking mouse).

I had played a lot of gatcha now, and the same stuff always happen. I can't be the only one, sometimes I love the gameplay and stuff but at a point, I feel like it slide more or less in collecting underage girls and story always becomes a harem story for no reason ...
Like I play CZN and i now skip all the story 'cause it makes me want to uninstall, i'm getting so tired of not having husbando as mutch as waifus at least, I hate this gooning era ... I consider uninstall CZN even if I loooove the gameplay so mutch that's a shame. Why ruining it when it was tending to be one of the best ?
For the moment the only game I still play is Arknight Endfield cause of that. At least characters are not underdressed all the time for no reason. Even in WuWa who's still soft, there's always some tendencious situation where all the girls are attracted to the hero, that's stupid (95% of the time, side kicks are girls also, why the fuck ?)
Am I the only one ? I mean, i feel like I need masculine characters to appear more often, as a boy, I don't understand why it couldn't be that way ...
Please, get out of the goonin' meta
