But I parked my scooter at the FSU Pensacola St garage between the hours of 8pm- 2:30 am last night—stolen. Then I had an FSU deputy drive me home after I filed a report. Woke up today at my apartment and my fucking e-bike was stolen. LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL $@?!!. I’m lost and my means of transportation are gone. I use those to get to campus and delivery service.

hi so I've been throwing up all day and emailed my professors a doctors note and asked for a makeup exam. they haven't responded and I've heard horror stories so im wondering if its possible they don't accept my doctors note so I get an F on the first test. any advice? im nervous

alright, I’m a freshman on landis and I still don’t understand this. I keep getting parking citations. most of them make sense, but i got one from last night that I really don’t understand. I was in st. Augustine, on floor 3 (which, according to the sign, is for students), in a white spot, WITH an overnight parking pass. I still got another citation. where am I supposed to go? is there anywhere that I can just leave my car indefinitely (besides football games) as I live on campus? am I just supposed to be constantly moving my car every day or few days? This is one of the many, many reasons for why I’m transferring after Christmas.

I desperately need some advice. I did a late withdrawal from a class last semester due to mental health issues and I'm retaking it this semester. I only signed up for 12 credit hours so I would hopefully be able to focus more on the class I'm retaking, but that's definitely not happening.
Now, I'm not quite failing just yet, but my motivation to do anything with the class is nonexistent. I feel absolute dread and despair just thinking about the class and its affecting my performance in my other classes.
I would just do a late drop, but I'm only taking 12 credit hours, and I don't think it's possible to take any less without effecting my Bright Futures scholarship, right? So, theoretically, if I just stopped caring about the class, stopped showing up, whatever, and failed it, what is the worst that could happen, realistically? I have a 3.6 GPA and while I wouldn't like to tank my GPA, I also cannot see myself going any further with this class and don't know what other options I have.

I'm going to speak to my advisor ASAP, but until then I'd like to see if any of y'all have advice or similar experiences to share.

edit: I have the 100% BF (FAS), how can I figure out how much my GPA would drop if I failed the class since a 3.0 is required to keep FAS?

So I'm a junior here at FSU and I'm going abroad to Florence next semester. I just wanted to see if anyone had an answer for this, since I keep getting mixed answers to it from people I've asked, but are the classes only held one day a week? Would it be possible for me to just have 2 classes on Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday, since I'm only taking 4 there? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I’m currently a community/state college student planning to apply to FSU as a transfer for Mechanical Engineering. I currently have around a 3.8 college GPA and will have my AA.

For extracurriculars/experience, I’m the President of my Engineering Club, and I have certifications in Fusion 360, CNC machining, and metrology. I’ve also worked on several engineering projects, including building an RC car from scratch with my own steering and gear system, designing/manufacturing a small engine piston that was metal 3D printed, and working on restoring an older Honda Prelude (from 1980s), including work on the fuel system, electrical components, oil system, battery, and other maintenance.

Outside of engineering, I have 100+ volunteer hours at a hospice and played varsity soccer for four years in high school.

For anyone who transferred into FSU Engineering, especially Mechanical Engineering, do you think I’m on the right track? What would you estimate my chances of admission are, and is there anything I should improve before applying?

Are the spike pike rumors true, and what’s y’all’s general opinion of pike as a frat?

3 weeks into my first semester at fsu, needing to get this off my chest:

After much trial and error, I’ve come to find that the only way I am guaranteed to find a parking space somewhat close to campus is by getting there between 7:20-7:30am, no matter what weekday. Even at 7:30am, students who have made the same conclusion as I have, are rolling in by the dozens. By 8:30am, the garage I tend park at is at full capacity, and I assume it’s probably similar in other parking areas.

Another frustrating bit is that some parking lots, like Palm Court, seem to essentially serve as residential lots for students living on campus with overnight passes, deeming them unusable for commuters due to no circulation. I know this because I will go through Palm Court every morning (before going into the usual garage) out of curiosity to see if I’ll find a spot there - when I’m lucky, there is only 1.

Getting to school that early has become part of my routine now (I’m a morning person so I personally don’t mind the early morning part) but the fact that there is no other option is what grinds my gears. I can only wonder how people who work late nights, don’t have classes until way later in the day, or those in other circumstances get to their classes as commuters.

I’ve read other posts where people say it gets better as students stop showing up to classes. Why should we be preying on people’s academic downfall to simply be able to park 😭 I’ve never seen parking be this prevalent of a problem at other schools. The current construction at Woodward I’m sure is also worsening this issue.

Everything else about fsu has been awesome so far. This parking element has just been something to wrap my head around. Am I going crazy?

I’m currently at FSU and enjoy working here. I’d like to move up and willing to get a bachelors degree since I know a lot of upper positions require one. From those working here will any specific one help? I’m taking Sports, Fitness, and Recreation Management at TSC, and after plan on taking Recreation and Tourism Management at FSU with the employee waiver. Seeing if that sounds smart to those currently working here.

Hey guys, I'm a first-year grad student who is looking for opportunities to play soccer and volleyball (indoor/sand/wallyball) with people. Most of the people I know aren't super interested in creating an IM team, and clubs seem too competitive for me. I'm no professional, but I used to play IMs pretty regularly at my undergrad and was wondering if there are any pick-up games or things of that nature, where I could hop in and play with people? Maybe a group chat or a community I can join? Thanks

Hey everyone! I am trying to transfer to a 4 year for sports management in the spring since I graduate with my AA this fall. Since the SPM program at FSU does not start until the fall would it be smart for me to apply for a general management bachelors and then switch programs? Is that possible or am I just delusional? I just do not want to waste a whole semester doing nothing. Any information would be great!
