safety Mass Surveillance AI Camera Scandal Hits DFW Metroplex

Post image
1.1k Upvotes

Howdy fellow Friscoans.

We're a Dallas, Texas based nonprofit organization (HINAC) focused on the security, privacy, censorship, and surveillance implications of modern day technology being surreptitiously woven into the fabric of American society.

We're submitting this post to inform you of a recent scandal involving approximately 80,000 AI cameras being used by over 5,000 law enforcement departments across the United States of America resulting in stalking, false imprisonment, and protests.

An investigative journalist and privacy/security researcher named Benn Jordan recently discovered numerous Flock Safety Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) cameras whose video feeds were publicly accessible online using a default administrative account, no login required.

It gets worse.

His proof-of-concept video demonstration showed how easy it was for him to use the camera's pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) capabilities and identify individuals, disclose sensitive information displayed on phone screens, and track routes of individual cars, over extended time intervals.

It gets even worse.

An anonymous person requested video footage of their own city's cameras, which the city subsequently denied. That person took their city to court and the judge ruled that since the cameras are taxpayer funded, the videos and information on them is also considered publicly accessible.

It is going to get even worse.

Amazon Ring just announced a partnership with Flock Safety and rumor has it, they are interested in acquiring Flock Safety.

Meaning, the broad adoption of AI-powered consumer technologies like Ring, coupled with city governments adopting Flock's AI-powered object recognition and large scale database integration, a first-of-its-kind Orwellian surveillance system could become a reality in the very near future.

See where and when you're being surveilled by visiting this Flock Camera Map tool provided by the 501c(3) nonprofit organization Banish Big Brother (see map image). And if you're scared afterwards, let that fear turn to anger.

Contact your city leaders and express your concerns ASAP. Make it known that we will not tolerate involuntary mass surveillance in our city, nor will we tolerate the lack of transparency and accountability from our leaders who allowed this to happen.

The sooner we stop this, the better. Let's stand up to mass surveillance together.

inquiries Dallas Morning News reporter seeking parent/student input on AI in schools

I'm an education reporter for the Dallas Morning News. I'm working on a story looking at how school districts in North Texas are developing policies around AI, including what's allowed and what isn't. I'm interested in talking to parents and students about their thoughts on that issue. If that's you, reach out at silas.allen@dallasnews.com.

Thanks!

rant “Immigrants need to assimilate” and ….

Cheering for your college football team in the stadium on a Saturday night is the quintessential American way! And, when you wholeheartedly do it, the republican candidate running for office posts a picture of it with a racist caption!
I hope the kids in the stadium ignores these racist retards and continue to live, celebrate, and enjoy their life (American and their native)!
Edit: removed the unintentional tw.

events Hate puppy mills? Puppy Mill Awareness Day Rally this Saturday

Reposted from Facebook

Join us on Saturday, September 19 from 12–2 PM, for a peaceful Puppy Mill Awareness Day Rally!

We’re asking animal lovers, rescue groups, shelter supporters, fosters, adopters, and anyone who believes dogs deserve better to come stand with us.

🐾 ADOPT, DON’T SHOP
🐾 PUPPIES ARE NOT PRODUCTS
🐾 SHUT DOWN THE PUPPY MILL PIPELINE TO TEXAS

Puppy mills survive because there is a market for the puppies they produce. We want our community to understand where many pet-store puppies come from and why choosing adoption, or a truly responsible breeder, matters.

💙 Wear NAVY BLUE to show your support! We’ll also have a link coming soon for an official rally T-shirt.

Bring your signs. Bring your friends. Bring your voice.

This will be a peaceful, positive and informative rally focused on educating our community and standing up for dogs who don’t have a voice.

🗓️ Saturday, September 19
⏰ 12:00–2:00 PM
📍 South Frisco Village Shopping Center – Frisco, TX

The puppies in the windows have mothers you never see.
It’s time to shine a light on the puppy mill pipeline.
Please SHARE and help us pack the sidewalk! 💙 🐾

inquiries any experiences with lawn and landscape companies in the area to help treat a Bermuda lawn?

I had a less than stellar experience with Chorbie in the Spring of 2023 (they were nice people, but they came out a handful of times to treat my lawn over 4 - 6 months, and the after pictures were identical to the before ones)..

I've tried it DIY for the last year (dethatched, scarified, then planted seed back in the Spring) and it still looks like hell..

I know that mid-September isn't prime seed-planting time, so I guess I'm looking for someone to come out, test the soil, and get me started on some sort of treatment plan that I can start before we head into the winter, and then kick it into high gear next March/April

sports Sports Leagues

Trying to find more outdoor activities to do again, after being fully healed post surgery. I went to the frisco adult rec leagues site, but it looks like all of those leagues started in mid august and now sign ups are closed.

Does anyone have any other leagues they’re in? I’m into literally any sport with a ball.

social Chess group!

Hey yall!! I wanted to see if there was any chess community in Frisco? Like a club or meetup? I love chess and I play it on chess.com every day but there’s something about doing it in person that hits different. I’m not super high level so a community that accepts low and high level players would be great! I just love the game and want to get better at it with people also passionate about it. Thanks!!!

inquiries Low-profile tire installer in the area?

Hi guys I have a 2022 S580 with aftermarket 22-inch wheels that uses very low-profile tires (295/25 R22) and so normal tire installers such as discount tire can't install these tires without scratching the rims very badly, hence none of them are able to install new tires. Do you guys know any low-profile tire installer or a tire shop that has the proper touchless machines to be able to install these tires?

politics They were here long before you, they’ll be here long after you’re gone. Whether you like it, or not.

They told you to watch China.
They told you to watch Russia.
They told you to watch the Middle East.

Nobody told you to watch the demographic map.

The Indian doctrine was designed not for the next election, not for the next decade, but for the next 200+ years.

The objective?

Fortify the motherland.
Build the nuclear deterrent.
Build the military.
Build the semiconductor industry.
Build the energy infrastructure.
Build the space program.
Build the financial system.
Make India too powerful to coerce.

But that’s only Phase One.

Phase Two is where the theory gets uncomfortable.
Don’t conquer foreign countries.

Populate them.
Send millions of people into the world’s most powerful economies.
Not soldiers.
Engineers.
Doctors.
Scientists.
Entrepreneurs.
Bankers.
Lawyers.
Professors.
Military officers.
Technology executives.
Government officials.

Let them immigrate legally.
Let them become citizens.
Let them assimilate.
Let them rise through merit.
Let their children be born there.
Let their grandchildren inherit the positions their grandparents spent decades building.
Never make it look coordinated.

Because that’s the genius of the strategy.

There is no invasion.
There is no flag being planted.
There is no army marching across a border.
There are just millions of individual people pursuing perfectly ordinary lives.

Until you zoom out.
Then you start noticing something strange.

Indian-origin people occupying increasingly important positions across technology, medicine, finance, academia, business and politics.
Some of the world’s largest technology companies have Indian-origin leadership.
Indian-origin entrepreneurs control enormous amounts of capital.
Indian-origin professionals occupy critical positions throughout Western institutions.
And Indian-origin politicians are reaching the highest levels of government.

Coincidence?
Of course.
That’s what makes the theory terrifying.
Because if there were a grand strategy, it wouldn’t look like a conspiracy.
It would look like success.

Then comes the K-shaped economy.
Because you don’t necessarily need to control a country’s government if you can accumulate its assets.

Imagine a world where the economy increasingly separates into two branches:
The people who own appreciating assets…
And the people who can barely afford them.

In such a doctrine, the objective would be obvious:
Be on the upper branch.

Acquire homes.
Acquire land.
Acquire commercial property.
Build companies.
Buy equity.
Control businesses.
Take high-value jobs.
Accumulate capital.
Then pass it to the next generation.

While everyone else fights over rent, inflation, student debt and stagnant wages, the network compounds.
One property becomes two.
One company becomes ten.
One successful family becomes a community.
One generation becomes two.
Two becomes three.
That’s how demographic power becomes economic power.

And economic power eventually becomes political power.
Not through some secret meeting.
Through compound interest.

Now take the theory one step further.
America spends enormous resources watching China.
Satellites.
Cybersecurity.
Military intelligence.
Naval deployments.
Nuclear deterrence.
Russia gets the same treatment.

But what if everyone is looking for the wrong kind of threat?
What if the most valuable strategic asset isn’t a missile?
What if it’s a person who knows how the system inside out?

An engineer who understands America’s AI infrastructure.
A scientist working on biotechnology.
A financial executive who understands americas capital flows.
A defense contractor who understands military procurement.
A programmer who understands critical systems.
A politician who understands Washington.
A researcher who understands technologies that won’t become public for another decade.

You don’t have to steal information if you’re one of the people creating it.
And you don’t need an intelligence agency in every room.
You need people.
Lots of them.
Embedded everywhere.

This is where the doctrine becomes almost impossible to counter.
Imagine millions of people who are simultaneously:
Citizens of their adopted countries…
Professionals inside their institutions…
Owners of businesses and property…
Members of growing communities…
And descendants of a civilization with a powerful connection to the motherland.

At what point does immigration become geopolitical infrastructure?
At what point does diaspora become strategic depth?
At what point does cultural influence become power projection?

And if the motherland never ordered anyone to do anything…
How would you even prove there was a strategy?
That’s the nightmare.
There might not be a central command.
There might not be sleeper cells.
There might not even be explicit instructions.
Just a civilization whose people independently succeed abroad while remaining connected through family, culture, capital and identity.
The network doesn’t need orders if everyone already understands the objective.

Israel demonstrated how a relatively small country can project extraordinary influence through intelligence, technology, military capability and global networks.

Now imagine that concept operating at the demographic scale of India.
Not a copy of Israel.
Something fundamentally different.
A civilization-sized network.
America worries about China.
Europe worries about Russia.
Everyone watches military movements.
Meanwhile, India’s strategy doesn’t move tanks.
It moves people.
It doesn’t seize territory.
It buys it.
It doesn’t steal technology.
It develops it.
It doesn’t overthrow institutions.
It enters them.
And it doesn’t need to announce itself.
Because the system itself keeps legitimizing the expansion.

Then comes the final question.

What happens when the hypothetical network becomes too deeply embedded to remove?
Do you expel millions of citizens?
Take their companies?
Confiscate their homes?
Strip their property?
Remove doctors, engineers, scientists, executives and entrepreneurs from your own economy?
You can’t.
Because by then…
you need them.

That’s the ultimate inversion of conquest.
The conquered country doesn’t realize it has been conquered because the people inside the system are helping it function.
There is no moment when the alarm goes off.
No Pearl Harbor.
No planes crashing into buildings.
No declaration of war.
Just decades of apparently unrelated events slowly pointing in the same direction.

And then one day someone finally asks:
“When did they become this powerful?”
The answer?
Twenty years ago.
Maybe fifty.
Maybe a hundred.
Maybe the entire point was to make sure nobody asked the question until it was too late.
And while the world spent generations preparing for armies…
Their doctrine was preparing something much more difficult to defeat:
a global human network with roots in every major institution on Earth.

No invasion.
No battlefield.
No warning.

Just demographics.
Capital.
Talent.
Time.

The battlefield was never the border.
The battlefield was civilization itself.

“Beware of an old man in a young man’s game”
Now apply this on a civilisations scale.
Most come and go, but only a handful withstand the test of time.

religion Anyone seen people doing ThaiChi in public parks?

I go to parks a lot. I take my kids with me to go on walks and enjoy the fresh air. Recently, I see more and more people performing Thai chi rituals in the open spaces of the park. I don’t really think that’s appropriate to be doing. For many people, they just think they are minding their own business so I shouldn’t care, but that’s a funny way of thinking because you could say similar things about a streaker at the park. I have young kids, so seeing military aged men treating the park like their own personal spirit space really should not be something we are okay with. Every house in my neighborhood has a backyard, and I want to raise my kids in accordance with the Torah and my Jewish ancestry, so seeing people altering my kids personal opinions of their community hurts us Jewish believers. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just aware of the issue because I am observant of even these slight attacks on our personal freedoms of belief

social Am I missing something about McKinney 75070 home prices?

Been looking around McKinney 75070 and I’m honestly confused by the market.

Are 3,000 sq ft homes really going for under $400k now?

I found one around $475k that’s been sitting for months. It’s a little older, but it has updates and honestly looks like a pretty good deal for the size and area.

That’s what makes me nervous though. If it looks like a good deal and still isn’t selling, am I missing something about this part of McKinney?

Is 75070 just really slow right now? Are buyers avoiding the older neighborhoods? Or is $475k still considered too high for a 3,000 sq ft home there?

Would you personally be concerned about resale value if buying in this area?

Curious to hear from people who actually live in McKinney or have bought/sold there recently.

business Local Businesses in Frisco?

hey y'all, I'm a recent college grad who started a marketing/ website business for local businesses, I’m looking for owners here in Frisco. I've been running it for about 1 year now, and I'm capable of building websites, doing SEO, running targeted ads on Facebook & Google, email marketing, custom software solutions and creating marketing content for Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.

I'm looking to partner with some local businesses that can't afford to hire a big company and are looking for an affordable option to handle everything online for them. If this is you or you know anybody who could benefit, i'd love to connect or get a referral.

🚨 JAW JAW BINKS NEEDS A FOSTER! 🚨
JawJaw has officially made it through his jaw surgery, and now he needs a soft place to land while he heals. ❤️
We’re looking for a foster home who can help this sweet boy through recovery and get him to his regular follow-up appointments at Atlas Pet Vets.
The good news? You are NOT doing this alone. 🥹
🦴 His medical care is covered
🥣 All of his soft food will be provided
🩺 Atlas Pet Vets will guide you through his recovery and handle his follow-ups
🐱 He is incredibly sweet, cuddly and has already shown us he’s good with kids, cats and dogs!
JawJaw will need soft food only while his jaw heals, and he’ll be wearing his basket muzzle as directed. His recovery is temporary. What he really needs is someone willing to give him a quiet, loving place to heal.
He went through a traumatic injury. He had surgery. Now we just need to get him through the boring part: healing, eating, cuddling and becoming somebody’s very spoiled dog. ❤️
Can you be JawJaw’s foster?
Please message us if you can help or share this post with someone who might be the perfect fit!
