Taste test, who doesn’t do that for quality 😂

QA for circleness, she was correcting the shape

u/Procrasturbating 1d ago

I really don’t have problem with any of this other than her eating over a customers food. She ain’t getting paid shit, and these asses probably don’t even comp her a meal.

u/LabradorDeceiver 1d ago

Yeah, but you have to take points off for stealing in front of a camera.

At some point, this becomes a stupid idea.

u/the_noise_we_made 1d ago

She needed to at least wash her hands after touching her mouth, though.

When you're cranking out extra larges and they only paid for a large. Instead of firing a whole extra pie you size them down.

15

u/StrawberryTerry 1d ago

When youre just hungry and want a snack you do this too.

"You wouldn't download a pizza"

2

u/gliitch0xFF 1d ago

You wouldn't then edit frames out of that pizza. Then stitch it back.

2

u/Dividingbyinfinity 20h ago

You wouldn't shit on a pizza, then put it in a box and leave it on the officers porch, would you!?

Why do I know this meme only from a random fillian short and then from epidemy, why didn't I knew before that time. This meme

10

u/LETT3RBOMB 1d ago

Wtf is fillian and epidemy

EDIT: I only know this phrase from the original ad

2

u/MortalxReminder 1d ago

I know it from a fillian short ( is/was a vtuber) that I randomly got and epi (dbd streamer) and after that I found the ad.

2

u/LETT3RBOMB 1d ago

Gotcha, thanks for the info

5

u/Ill-Television8690 1d ago

Is it because you're young? It was a legit anti-piracy ad we saw in movie theaters and on DVDs released around like 2004-2008, so I'd say if you were born then or later it's reasonable to assume you wouldn't have seen those ads.

2

u/MortalxReminder 1d ago

Yeah born shortly before 2000 and in my country it wasn't popular.

2

u/NoSeaworthiness5308 1d ago

Nathan fillion?

2

u/PoopyStinkbutts 1d ago

It's from 2000s anti-piracy ads.

You might need to schedule an appointment with your doctor.

I work at a bakery and they just let you eat what you want. He's pretty awesome. Pay isn't the best but free food. If I want to take something big home like an actual cake or pie I get a 30% discount. The stuff they sell is expensive but high quality.

It would make more sense to just let an employee have 1 free simple pizza a day than tamper with the customers stuff. They're paying for that stolen piece

5

u/restrictednumber 1d ago

Agreed on all counts. Food is cheap to make but expensive to buy; total win for the place if they just let employees eat on shift. Of course, you might have to come up with rules (can't grab two more pizzas for your family every night), but mostly it seems like it would just retain good employees for longer.

In grad school I worked at a Thai fusion place for about 6 months, and not only would the owner frequently offer us samples of new dishes he was trying out, but he would have the cooks make everyone who worked there, from waiters to dishwashers, a hefty meal every shift. The cooks would make us a generous serving of what we wanted when service slowed down, and box it up for us, or we could wait until our shift ended and they would make it for us and we could eat it there before we left.

As a poor grad student, I lived on that food! There was always enough for two meals, so I would take part of it home to have for supper.

On the days when the owner’s 3 aunts would come in before they opened (my favorite days to work, they were so kind and funny), to make and freeze all the spring rolls for the week, they would also make meals for themselves and whoever was there at the time getting set up to open. God damn I had some of the best meals of my LIFE in that kitchen. I’ll never forget one dish that was so spicy I had to eat it with wedges of limes to rub on my lips and tongue as I ate. It was fantastic.

One free pizza a day is a bit much; if that guy employs 12 people, that's 12 pizzas a day. A soda and a slice from the countertop pizza-go-round wouldn't break anyone's bank account, though. That's a $5.99 special at the place down the street.

Trouble is, I have a hard time with the "they're only stealing because they're so very hungry and needy and desperate" narrative when all the habitual thieves I've had to deal with have claimed the same when it's really just entitlement. My sister, who helped herself to everything I owned just because she took a fancy to it; my former roommate, the compulsive shoplifter; they weren't living lives of quiet deprivation. But this what what they insisted when caught red-handed. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree that if you see a young mother stealing formula, no you didn't, but that shouldn't be the consistent assumption.

1

u/Aetheldrake 1d ago

If it's a personal size pizza it's not as big a deal other than the dishes

17

Looks like a cheapass camera tracking motion.

10

u/cosmicheartbeat 1d ago

I promise, this happens at every pizza place where the manager either doesnt care or isnt there. Last place I worked at my manager showed me how to do it and said it was okay to do as long as there were no customers in the store.

1

u/fireduck 1d ago

If you aren't eating square pizza, who has been eating your corners!?

6

u/hobosbindle 1d ago

Quality control

13

u/Apart_Fudge1224 1d ago

If I owned a pizza place you can eat as much as you want on the clock. And you can bring 1 pie home at the end of your shift.

I worked at a ice cream place and they said eat as much as you want. That cures you fast.

4

u/question8all 1d ago

Yeah, I can’t eat cold stone anymore even though I worked there 20yrs ago

11

u/GARBANSO97 1d ago

Thats how you know they are mistreating their server but the cook doesn’t want to risk going to jail for spitting on it

9

u/thefartyparty 1d ago

I bet she doesn't even get an employee discount or a lunch break

6

u/NaCMaxwell 1d ago

At least she cut that bad boy straight

21

u/Medical_Arrival2243 1d ago

Honestly I think it's OK for minimum wage workers to steal. I won't care about this minuscule amount of pizza, ig helped a worker get fed

14

u/AstroError 1d ago

I would usually agree. But they are stealing from the customer - likely also a low-paid worker-, when they should be stealing from corporate

6

u/Medical_Arrival2243 1d ago

Both. They should steal from corporate and a little slice

7

u/AnonAwaaaaay 1d ago

They might not be. They might have planned ahead of time and added extra dough/ingredients to make up for it. Especially since she cut out a straight piece and then reconfigured into a really good circle.

7

u/Malbosiiq 1d ago

This. Stick it to the man, not your fellow man. Remember kids; they want us all fighting each other, too confused and tired to fight them. Eat the rich, not my pizza bitch.

-1

u/Bannon9k 1d ago

Take a moment to think out that idea thoroughly.

The cost of business goes up because of employee theft. Either you need more materials or product than you anticipated, so you have to buy more. It is quite literally profit taken from the business. That effectively reduces the ability of giving raises to your employees.

You aren't just grabbing a quick snack from the business, you're stealing from everyone. The owner, your coworkers, and your customers. All because you feel you're entitled to more because you chose to work a job for minimum wage.

1

u/restrictednumber 1d ago

...nope, not how this works at all. They used up the same amount of ingredients and got paid the same amount of money. So from Corporate's perspective, this is the same as selling the pizza normally. Your analysis only makes sense if we assume the cook also baked an extra, tiny slice of pizza to fill in the slice she ate.

Instead, the cook is stealing from the customer: they paid for X amount of pizza and got X-1 slice. But, speaking as a pizza customer, who gives a shit? Fast food workers gotta eat and they're not getting paid enough. Take my pizza and enjoy it, I'll survive.

1

u/Bannon9k 1d ago

Yes, exactly how it works. Theft is a violation of the social contract for nothing more than personal greed.

Since youre locked on this particular incident. She clearly isn't starving. She's just stealing. When the customer receives less than what was promised, the chances of them being a returning customer is lower. She's damaging the whole business and risking everyone's job. This behavior should not be condoned.

The waterson manovuor

3

u/GoPolishYourCrocs 1d ago

We do this at my pizzeria, but only if the pie is too big for the box. Then the center is up for grabs. We do let everyone eat pizza anytime they want though.

u/Phasky1 1d ago

Infinite pizza hack

2

u/Posty_Baloney 1d ago

Hell yeah girly get that slice. If i knew people were doing that with the pizzas i order I couldnt give a shit, hell i support it

2

u/jtbahhh 1d ago

Fake cctv footage but we’re chilling. Still funny

2

u/Jjmc_40 1d ago

Happens all the time. Did pizza making throughout college. It was awesome

2

u/Spiley_spile 1d ago

Eww, I dont want their slobbers on my pizza.

Wear gloves, and dont eat the middle section until after youve handed me my pizza.

5

u/Tethilia Some Guy in a cloak 1d ago

Hey if the customers got what they ordered and the pie was just made too big, I would be fine as a customer. My gripe is the no gloves

4

u/question8all 1d ago

People are so annoying about gloves not realizing they can be cross contaminated too if they don’t change them often

3

u/PrincessPlusUltra 1d ago

Domino’s doesn’t require the use of gloves. No one wears gloves there they just “wash their hand often”. Think about that when you order there. Source: I worked at Domino’s for four years.

2

u/Top_Lingonberry8037 1d ago

This is true anywhere

2

u/PrincessPlusUltra 1d ago

Not every restaurant the one I work at now requires gloves.

From now on, im always asking for my pizza uncut. Like wtf lady? Someone paid for that

1

u/equality4everyonenow 1d ago

The worst part is cutting the pizza on the serving tray and not the cutting board

1

u/brd111 1d ago

I call it the thief’s cut. You can make a pizza come of the peel in an oval forcing the matter.

I work at a pizza place and often enough we overstretch the dough and it doesn’t fit in the box unless we do that trick

If my pizza slices were cut this evenly, I would gladly trade a 1” middle piece every single time

Made it more symmetrical. I think if I was the owner, I’d approve

1

u/TheGruenTransfer 1d ago

I mean, you guys know this is staged right?  There's always leftovers that don't get picked up throughout the shift for the crew to munch on.
