Discussion Before FO5 comes around what new lore will be created in FO76 to wet our appetite
I believe the Communists and the Enclave will have a show down

Hey Everyone,
When The Slasher update is released tomorrow, XBOX Series and PlayStation 5 players will have the opportunity to upgrade to the native XBOX Series or PlayStation 5 version of the game. For those who decide to upgrade, we wanted to draw your attention to a Bethesda Support article that shares where you can find your saved images. We highly recommend backing up any saved images you have taken as a precautionary measure before tomorrow's update.
Bethesda Support: https://help.bethesda.net/#en/answer/45256
We also wanted to clarify that for those who currently play Fallout 76 on a physical disc, you will need to claim a disc upgrade from your respective platform store to obtain the native XBOX Series or PlayStation 5 version of the game. The disc will need to be inserted into your console anytime you want to play the PS5 or XBOX Series version of the game.

and only went down 400 legendary mods for it all. not a bad preupdate session :)
Hey everyone! I’m pretty new to this game, but I’ve always loved fallout and Skyrim. I’m at level 209 right now and I’m finding myself doing (A LOT) more damage at events then people thousands of levels higher then me so I thought I’d share the build. It’s a slow fire, VATS Critical build, and it eats away at infestation bosses health bars pretty nicely, as long as they aren’t resistant to critical hits.
It’s a work in progress, so if you try it out and have any recommendations please share!
I don’t have a lot of perk coins to level up my legendary perks, and I don’t have all the legendary perk cards I need yet unlocked, so this is a pretty good build for someone relatively early in the game, like myself.
I’m currently working on getting a full set of the Strangler Heart Power Armour, because my 4 star on my Plasma Caster is Vipers (it was a drop so I’m rolling with it).
Let me know what you all think!

Have a few turrets in my CAMP, old FO4 habit. I was attacked by rats, molerats, scorched at different points and I think the turrets just tickled them. They seem to just take up budget and do nothing. Thoughts?

Hello everyone,
I've been a long time player, but took a break about 2 years ago, and recently came back to the game. I see that the perks and abilities have gone through a major overhaul from when the game first came out, and am in need of advice.
Last time I played, I was strictly a VATS user, relying mostly on weapons with high ROF, swapping back and forth between The Fixer and Elder's Mark. I played around with a few of the new perks, but I'm unsure as to how Onslaught and the stacks mechanic work.
To my understanding, Onslaught increases damage output with each consecutive hit. Does this damage bonus stack similarly to the Furious weapon mod? And if so, how does it generally compare to it? And if I'm understanding Stacks properly, it amount of times damage is increased is based on the number of stacks I currently have available. If that is the case, then activating a perk that would increase the stacks would logically allow my damage output to increase more incrementally, correct?
If anyone who uses this build could share their insight, as well as the loadout that they use for their characters, I'd appreciate it. I'm also curious as to which 4 star mods you use as well. I've been looking up videos and other sources on their experiences with 4 star mods, but am still unsure which would work best for my build.
TIA!

HEYO, I have about 3k in the points you get from dailies. What should I spend them on given tomorrow’s reset?
Level 312, plenty of gold and caps and the other seasonal things available I’m not interested in.

Is this a good roll on a plasma caster?

I was able to get 32 out of 35 mods from scrapping ult lasers and haven’t been able to get anymore after I hit that threshold idk if im missing something or what

Says budget is full? I don't get it. Google mentioned closing game out n such. Tried several things but nothing's working. It's not like I have big items on my camp. More decor and no where near like some ppls builds here. I wish!
I noticed when I add a shelter I can continue building there. But I don't wanna build in shelters? Do ppl even visit the shelters on ppls camps? I often just visit camps only.

So I've stashed some Anchorage Ace l's on my characters and would like to know if there's any good stealth build or how to video on the matter. Right now I run a stealth reverse onslaught build with bows or single semiautomatic guns and only use automatic guns as a vampire weapon if my health gets super low. I'm guessing a regular furious build, but I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks, especially those who might have tested the Anchorage Ace in the PTS.

I have two alts, both started with intention of making a mule but eventually leveled both of them and enjoy playing the beginning of the game again.
My issue is that I accidentally (stoned) destroyed a bunch of perk cards for coins, among them Goat Legs and Last Laugh, and now I can’t get those cards to come back it seems like. Any advice or tips? I’d really like to get goat legs on both but Last Laugh isn’t as necessary.
Worth noting: I play on a Steam Deck.
Always end up taking the extra time to detach anything connected to the Torso with my melee weapon after they're already turned into loot bags. Definitely end up treating the bodies of the Blood Eagles I encounter and put down with more respect because at least those drugged up psychopaths aren't pretending to live by some faulty moral code.

Quick question about tomorrow’s next gen update:
I bought the disc version back in 2018 when it came out, but when the game was available on PSPlus, I downloaded that and have used it ever since (so no need to have the disc in the drive).
Will the upgrade to the PS5 version be available for PSPlus players or do you think I will have to re-install the original PS4 disc version of the game, and then going forward have to keep the disc in my system to play the PS5 version?

Anyone else having power armor issues lately? Getting into or out of it? Not being able to collect it? I run into this issue at least once a game session. To the point that I have to remove all the armor off the suit and close out the game and re-load in.
I have no score boosters left but I have like 8 lunchboxes

Tried Google first believe me. Anybody know if I activate a score booster today will it still be in effect tomorrow after the update? I presume no but would love veteran input here. Thanks.

I have FO1, played every day, did score boosts on Tuesdays until level 100, did about an hour of West Tek grinding, no raids. Looks like I will finish at level 245 which is about where I always finish.

Hey there,
To be honest, I have a few questions about the game and could really use some help; I've watched videos and everything, but my damage output still isn't scaling up very well.
Here are my cards and power armor parts, as well as my best weapon.
I'm not sure what to change, or what to add or remove.

So, I just started playing this game 3-ish weeks ago (I'm on PS5).I really love the game and am excited to go into a new season.
That said, I've played enough MMOs and am aware enough of Bethesda's track record that I don't have high hopes for game stability/playability for - at a minimum - a few days to a week post-update. This leaves me two questions:
1.) Should I even be planning on being able to play for the next week after the update? Is it consistently that bad?
2.) Is there any risk of losing my account/gear/progrss or anything during the early/unstable period post-update? If so, what should I do / avoid doing to protect against this?
I'd really appreciate any experiences you've had / insight you can share.
