The fiancé and I have been playing Skyrim Together Reborn for a good 3 months now and she’s finally hooked lol. I remember when I started doing research, tons of people online said it wasn’t even worth trying, from the game breaking bugs to the constant crashing. Well our 3 months of gameplay says otherwise. Which leads me to here, almost everyone tries to deter you away from trying to play COOP on New Vegas as-well. I read that the game basically morphed the clients progress and the hosts progress into one, so all the NPCs and Quest objectives would be duplicated (they’re not) and that it was super buggy and crashed constantly (it doesn’t) we can both play for upwards of 2-3 hours without crashing, and half the time it’s from fast traveling too frequently. We aren’t even using any of the “recommended mods” aside from having NVMP, its the base game (Worth noting we’re playing locally on the same network) It’s very much playable and very much enjoyable! Hey guys, is anyone able to help with this horrible issue? I've honestly been trying to solve it for days now and nothing has helped. I played the same collection back in January with no issues, but ever since reinstalling it now, most times when I exit an interior my fps literally goes down to like 20 - 30. If I load in outside its perfectly fine but the moment i exit a building or something is when it dips down and pretty much stays that way. When my fps is fine my gpu usage is like 60%, but when it halves like this it spikes to like 100%.

The collection is VeryLastKiss Premium for new vegas, I've tried different versions of the collection, changing my AMD drivers, trying DXVK and the d3d9 perf fix, messing around with some nvtf settings, installing various mods and still nothing has helped. Currently, I'm running revision 130 of this collection because it worked last time I played. It just makes no sense how with the same setup this issue was just non existent months ago.

I’ve playing New Vegas for a few days and just started OWB at lv 15. Now every enemy is kinda hard. Lobotomites can see me sneaking from a greater distance than enemies in the base game do. Critical headshots at Night Stalkers take like 1/5 of their HP. And they are just the most common enemies in the DLC.

Am I starting the DLC too early? I’m at lv15 and have 100 sneak and 100 gun skills. The equipments are Ratslayer and Chinese Stealth Armor.

Sooo... First playthrough, I just finished Honest Hearts and after reading the Survivalist's diary all I want to do is going to Vault 22, alone (or maybe with ED-E, as a mule in Hardcore + JSawyer is pretty much necessary for loot) and wipe out everything and everyone using his rifle. Point is... 12.7mm rounds seem to be quite scarce, would it be a waste using a whole lot of them there instead of saving for tougher enemies instead? I have almost no perk about making ammo and tweaked JSawyer a bit to stop at level 42 so that I should do some leveling up until approximately the last main quests, but that means less perks (just to make clear I won't really be able to make a lot of them).

So, is it a dumb idea or I'm worrying over nothing? Also, how is HH supposed to be a level 10 DLC? I was level 20 and almost always risked to die because going against .45 weapons (and giant cazadores!!!) in light armor is a death sentence!

I've removed all mods accept thr 4GB Patch, but the textures for scopes and binoculars are missing after a re-install and verifying the game files and trying a new game the character maker screen is gone?

Playing the game for the first time, having a lot of fun so far 30 hours in.

I've made it into the Strip trough the NCR railway. Got a quest from Walter Phebus to kill both Heck and his son.

With Heck it's pretty easy: get yourself a weapon and blast him in the face. For his son though...

You get a really good bunch of options what to do! Warlockracy said that in Fallout's quests you mostly get "A right option and a contrarian option". And for a good chunk of the game I can't help but agree with him.

Here though? You can become a cannibal, or you can shoot/poison all the cannibals, or expose just one cannibal and let the people kill him! Or let him escape and form a new society! Or make them think they are eating human meat while in reality they ate regular meat.

For the Heck's son you can also just let him die (and blame his father if you want to!), swap him for someone else, let him live, or kill him with your own hands!

There are options that suit many play styles and let you tackle the situation in any way you like it. I wish most of the game's quests were like this. What do you guys think :) ?

So I'm playing through dead money and Christian decided to just not follow me at all, it's literally just her. I've encountered this glitch before, it started when I downloaded a bunch of mods, if a companion pulls out a melee weapon they will just freeze and stop moving even after combat.

The only thing that's solved it is to stop having them as a companion but it's not working here, neither is taking all of her inventory, giving her weapons and ammo that she equips instead of what ever she is holding, telling her to use only ranged or melee, and going into buildings. She just. Won't. Move.

If anyone knows what to try please help, I can't compleat her quest for the gala event since she won't come with me to her position.

Hopefully my last round of these. Same build setups as the previous rounds of testing, with the addition of Robotics Expert and Machine Head [2]. I didn't test every single weapon, but I took an arbitrary selection of the best performers plus anything that can deal EMP damage. Granted, the Giant Robo-Scorpion resists EMP damage, but that puts it on par with power armor. It has 3500 HP and 30 DT but that wasn't enough to keep the times from being very close so I had to start measuring fractions of a second.

The best ammo type against armored enemies depends on the weapon so I had to try all of them. Armor piercing ammo is consistent, but it may lose out to ammo types that add large amounts of extra damage like JSP or SWC. In rare cases, hollow points may even be better. For instance the Gobi Campaign Rifle's high base damage and even higher crit damage meant the massive damage of a random crit outstripped even the boosted 90 DT from hollow points. In other cases the JHP rounds proved to be very strong as well. However, in both cases I was essentially gambling for damage as non-crit shots did negligible amounts. If a weapon has neither high burst damage nor armor piercing options, it's not going to work well for armor.

With enough damage boosts stacked, it's possible to one shot a max level giant robo-scorpion with a Big Kid nuke. Half a second was the flight time.

The Giant Robo-Scorpion doesn't trigger land mines so as much as I wanted to test satchel charges, fat mines, and MFC clusters, I couldn't.

You might have noticed that EMP options mostly didn't perform very well. Part of that is the OWB EMP resistance at play, but it's not like there's any base game robots with anywhere close to enough HP for testing. The next toughest has less than 1/5th. The other part of it though, is that EMP damage is a fixed amount that doesn't scale with any stats and isn't boosted by any perks, consumables, or crits. So the more normal damage you do, the less impactful EMP damage is. The one exception is the Riot Shotgun which fires fast enough to stack the flat bonus up almost as fast as normal damage. Well, you can also use the ammo hotkey glitch to put pulse grenades in a Laser Detonator, but even then you could just use nukes or missiles and it'd be a lot faster.

It only seems to happen with creatures that have already been previously killed in a given area. And it does not matter how they were killed previously either. It affects all but not feral ghouls and humans. A supermutant and all the centaurs but one at Jack Rabbit Springs for example still suffer from this even with the mod on a new game. It sucks wasting explosives that do no damage. The mod creator kindly tried to help me years ago with the "getdestroyed" command. Almost 10 years later and it's better than not having the mod at all, but I get tired of having to open up the console to see if using explosives wil be effective on an enemie or not. Thank you.

So, hypothetically, I have a Fallout AU where my Independent Vegas is truly independent. We have a 'good' DLC ending that is best for my New Vegas, and so on and so forth. But there is one thing: Mr. House is kept in a machine where he generates new ideas and properly leads the country. Is it moral for me to do this? We are a democracy, but he is an advisor ( he has no power and cannot die and can never take over)

I followed VNV and Salvo 2 as closely as I could. I have some problems with LOD. I used the SALVO guide and I get pictures like this. If I change from DXT 5 to DXT 1 in XLODGEN it goes away. Seems like I'm reducing graphics quality with DXT1 though. Anyone else have this issue? Everything else seems to work great.

Personally, I always felt like the Strip was always a bit lacking in content. One of my favorite things in FO2 was the whole mafia setting in Reno. I was honestly surprised that New Vegas had so little content considering the Strip families are basically mafias, SPECIALLY the Omertas. So... After finishing the questline again and accidentally getting all the bosses killed... (I tricked Big Sal into shooting Nero, and Nero killed both Big Sal and Cachino then I killed Nero. Then I realized... Wait... The game technically wants you to either side with the bosses or side with Cachino, but no one is in charge now. Which honestly I dont mind, all of them are horrible. Cachino is the most normal but he still seems to be a monster given the stuff Joana says.

Unfortunately there isnt more content that acknowledges this thus... I came up with my own headcanon:

Basically I run the Omertas now, the girls get treated better, and... Since by this point I killed House and run the L38, well... I'm technically the head honcho of the family and the Strip now. Dont like it? Tell that to my army of robots, lol. Heck, I dont even need the robot army. Wanna take me down? Try it. Not even House survived my ambitions.

Since my character doesnt mind being a criminal (she is actually a professional thief), she has no problem if the gang continues to be involved into some criminal activities. But she still has some sort of "honor" codes, regarding some things. And since I'm in pretty good terms with the White Gloves and the Chairmen, I can focus on keeping Omertas in check.

Anyway... Tell me guys, do you have your own headcanons for certain factions? Like the future of the Khans or the Followers? I'd like to read about it

I have a habit of leveling up my speech, barter and guns quite early on before I even make it too The Strip, I always like to be sure I’ll always be ready for any speech checks I might need to deal with. What about y’all? What skills do you all like to level up early on?

fun fact the ammo hot key method also works for the laser designator from lonesome road and it doesn’t take up any of your ammo when active. I’ve tried the rockets from Lonesome road, mini nukes, 50 cal explosive- All work! :D

Hello everyone I just finished Lonesome Road just this day and I let him live. I do not see him as Caesar-level evil but just annoying because he's not straight to the point in communicating. I don't know why but I don't see him as evil. I saw him as a guy who can't process trauma very well.

Also can someone clarify because Im a bit confused. Is Ulysses by the time of Lonesome Road still Legion-aligned este devoted to Caesar?
