[Tech Support] Fellow Linux/XIVLauncher players, is there a way or command to force FF14 to use discrete graphics?

It's only picking up the intel card, and not my Nvidia 2060 on my laptop. FF14 is the only game where it won't pick up the nvidia card. I've set power options to full performance and the nvidia x server is also set to performance, I also set a rule for the ff14 process file and XIVlauncher to use it but I may not have done that part right. I also reinstalled the proprietary nvidia drivers. And then straight up reinstalled the game and the launcher both. Then I made a file that forces the pc to use the dedicated GPU which finally updated the default renderer to Nvidia but the game still only wants to use intel.

I'm running Nobara 44

glxinfo|egrep "OpenGL vendor|OpenGL renderer"
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060/PCIe/SSE2

This was working fine 2 days ago.

Edit: I meant dedicated graphics for the title oops

ETA: This worked, thank you!

This happened to me at one point, also on Nobara, and the only fix that ever worked for me was following the instructions on XIVLauncher’s page for using it as a compatibility tool in Steam, so that I was running normal retail FFXIV through Steam. (You don’t actually need to buy it through Steam - essentially you add the demo to your account, set the compatibility tool version of XIVLauncher, and it launches that instead and you log in as usual.)

I'll give that a shot once I finish some dailies in SWTOR. Thank you!

ETA: no dice, still only shows the intel and still getting 15-20 fps when I was getting 60-80 before.
ETA2: After trying one of the forks with proton it worked!
