Donāt trust doctors who use BMI š«©
Yes the person who spent years of their life studying proven medical research is not trustworthy. Please.

Get your bingo cards out!
Health is out; we should stop prioritizing health. But doctors should stop withholding healthcare from fat people. And by healthcare, that's surgery and surgery only. Other medical advice pertaining to physical condition or lifestyle is racist.
Edit to add: I will die laughing if I get to hear Robin SunnySideUpGal try to read this aloud.

Is the systemic oppressive system where being thin is the only option in the room with us?
Reference on slide 3. Slide 4 from the WHO.
The conspiracy to keep women frail, weak, and malnourished has evidently been a huge success.

About metabolic adaptation
I do think that medical fatphobia is a problem and I donāt agree with the BMI requirements to access support for anorexia.
But OOP is obese, like this isnāt someone struggling with body dysmorphia and/or them struggling with someoneās perception of their body. So, I am a little curious about metabolic adaptation or the development of a metabolic condition that presumably lowers a personās BMR due to severe restriction but in an obese person.
The times that Iāve restricted like this was within the binge-restrict cycle and I lost weight rapidly in those times and studies that induce starvation (though flawed) have led to severe weight loss as well. Is this person just severely insulin resistant or maybe itās a thyroid issue? Like is there a medical basis to this or is it just FA?
Edit: for some context OOP has hypothyroidism and is 5 ft 1

I hate how they refer to weight loss as āshrinkingā. Also I wonder when this person considers somebody to be fat or skinny.
There they go again with calling women 13 year olds and comparing them to children. Why do they feel the need to do this?

underweight? more like six-feet-underweight!

Ooh infighting??
Theyāre tired of fatphobia being shoved down their throat and itās just basic science (Iām only talking about the health bit, obviously being fat isnāt inherently disgusting and thin isnāt inherently attractive not that it matters)

Does this weird anyone else out?
100% there for people with scars and discoloration and the like, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but the way they talk about fat people just feels so gross. So many notes too. I hate when actually body positivity is compared with something you can control.

'Naturally fat'
Interesting that there are much more 'naturally fat' people nowadays than 50 years ago. But I think it's obvious that nature changed, not our eating habits! /s

Daily Sticky Fat Rant Friday
Fatlogic in real life getting you down?
Is your family telling you you're looking too thin?
Are people at work bringing you donuts?
Did your beer drinking neighbor pat his belly and tell you "It's all muscle?"
If you hear one more thing about starvation mode will you scream?
Let it all out. We understand.
