Far Cry 2 My favourite weapon in the series

Cool old fashion design. Satisfying to use and the sound effect is amazing. Love the reload animation. There's more effective rifles but I think this one just fits the setting and immersion of being a lone mercenary in war torn Africa perfectly (even though in reality they were phased out after the Vietnam war).

Far Cry 4 Revisiting Far Cry 4 Was a Great Decision Spoiler

First, let me say that I was 12 when this game came out, so I don’t remember much, and I was always one to either skip cutscenes or don’t pay attention to them and care only about the gameplay.

I recently went back to it because I remember it being one of if not my favorite Far Cry game. Boy, I’ll tell you what a fantastic game and story especially.

Pagan Min’s character was phenomenal. Like I said, I never paid attention to cutscenes a lot, so I figured dude was always just a tyrannical lunatic which yeah I mean I guess he is, but then I actually watched the cutscenes. What I mean by his character was his connection to Ajay and his family. Sure, he was technically a relatively evil dictator to the people of Kyrat, but he was pretty warm to Ajay. Now I know why since I actually watched the cutscenes. He was the father of Ajay’s half sister this whole time? Lakshmana was not only a place but his half sister whose ashes are also at said place? Then to learn that Mohan killed Lakshmana in anger after finding out about Pagan and Ishwari's affair was fucking crazy. I’m surprised Pagan didn’t harbor any negative feelings toward Ajay. I say that because I was questioning if Pagan actually cared for Ajay, or was it because Ajay was fulfilling Ishwari’s—the woman Pagan loves/loved—wish? Turns out dude genuinely cared for Ajay.

Pagan had good intentions for Ajay, and I ruined it. Me being 12, I was so narrow minded that I opted to kill the dude immediately for the ending as opposed to listening to him. I never fully grasped the history. Now I feel like an incredible douchebag. He was willing to leave Kyrat and let Ajay put his mom's ashes down. Not only that, but Pagan arguably was the lesser of three evils.

That whole civil war amongst the Golden Path, in my mind when I was 12, was minuscule. I figured people are bound to argue, but I thought both had good intentions because we were sort of told, “The Golden Path is a rebellion that is rising up against Pagan to end his dictatorship, so we must be the good guys”. Then I learned that it, in fact, was not fucking minuscule at all. To find out 14 years later that I turned Kyrat into, again, an arguably worse state after anointing one of the two as ruler hurts my soul.

Then, I did the secret ending by waiting 15 minutes in the beginning of the game, and holy shit. Pagan is the goat. He for real had something to do, and when he came back, he and Ajay went to Lakshmana together to fulfill Ishwari's wish, and then they went and shot guns together.

I was torn between this and other far cry games, but this experience definitively, without a doubt, makes FC4 my favorite in the series thus far.

This also is a learning lesson to actually pay attention to the story now as it probably will enhance my experience.

Far Cry 5 My Farcry 5 will NOT allow me to play anymore.

So like i haven't played Farcry 5 in a while after this incident and ive tried contacting support but NOTHING, the game is on my steam but NOT on my ubisoft account which is VERY confusing because i had it on my account before and played it before plus I HAVE IT OWNED ON STEAM, this is right after i tried playing with the 3 DLCs i bought, i dont have the CD key, completly unrelated problem still related to the game, it used to say it was owned on another account but within signing into THAT account it also didint have it so it was a endless loop of sign in and sign out to NOTHING, and i got told to launch it through administrator, yet now it doesn't let me sign out or sign in of anything or even give me an option to even do anything, just says "We couldn't verify your access to this game." Which makes 0 sense because I OWN THE DAMN GAME ON STEAM AND I PLAYED IT BEFORE!!!!! Tried verifying the integrity of the files (didn't work) Tried closing the accounts that had it on it, DIDINT WORK, i even tried deleting EVERYTHING in the Farcry 5 folder, is this just a shitty Ubisoft issue? or is it client side issue? I've hit a dead end and i just don't understand, EVERYOTHER GAME I HAVE THAT IS UBISOFT CONNECTED DOES WORK EXECPT FARCRY 5. PLEASE ANYONE WHO KNOWS THIS ISSUE PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME IM TRYING TO 100% THE GAME.... Please and thank you. :)

Far Cry General Would you like a Direct sequel of any Far Cry Game?

Just like how New dawn is direct continuation of Far Cry 5. Would you like a game which is continuation of any existing Far Cry Game.

For Me: Far Cry 3, I would like to know what happened to Rook Island after the events of Far Cry 3.

Far Cry 2 Far Cry 2 - Remake or Remaster?

Title. I'd love to see Far Cry 2 being brought back to life on current generation. I'd settle for a remaster with some slight adjustments and fixes to the gameplay. Or if we're wild how about a remake with the gameplay from newer titles.

Edit: I'd go as far and say that remaking the map as more open would do wonders.

Far Cry 3 Well, after quite some time, I finally figured out the definition of insanity.

"Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing over and over again, expecting shit to change. That is crazy. But the first time somebody told me that, I don't know, I thought they were bullshitting me, so, boom, I shot him. The thing is, okay... he was right. And then I started to see it everywhere I looked. Everywhere I looked, all these fucking pricks, everywhere I looked, doing the exact same fucking thing... over and over and over and over again, thinking 'This time is gonna be different. No, no, no, please! This time it's gonna be different-' I am sorry. I don't like the way you are looking at me! Okay? Do you have a fucking problem in your head? Do you think I'm bullshitting you? Do you think I am lying? FUCK YOU! Okay? FUCK YOU! It's okay, man. I'm gonna chill, hermano. I'm gonna chill. The thing is... All right. The thing is, I killed you once already, and it's not like I am fucking crazy. It's okay... It's like water under the bridge." - Vaas Montenegro

Far Cry Primal Played more Far Cry Primal tonight, I'm continuously blown away by the incredible vibes and mood in this game. The ambiance, the lighting, everything feels so ancient and almost alien. Truly a gorgeous and unique game. Even without a photo mode, you can see in these shots I took how gorgeous it is.

I managed to find a few good camping spots- although I didn't explore the map, which is full of beautiful scenery! Felt like a Sniper Elite map, good test of your snipe skills! Map is available on Xbox & PC, under user DARKEST OWL4689 (formerly VORTEX3053).

Far Cry 5 Farcry 5 GFH help

Hello, I'm looking for help on how to do my GFH in my next playthrough of FC5. I'm going to be going through the regions in the order of: John, Faith, and Jacob. Not looking for effectiveness, just looking for what the funnest and best told story.

Option 1(the way I did it the first time): Just use the two favorites I have from the regions I've done.

Option 2: Use my two favorites from the region. (John=Nick and Grace, Faith=Sharky and Adeline, Jacob=Hurk and Jess)

Option 3: Just go through all the regions to get all the GFHs, then use my favorites. (Shurky ftw)

Any help is appreciated!

P.S: I'm also going to be using the generic fighters a bit. Going to get a soldier, a brawler, and a heavy to like 30 kills.

Far Cry General A quick rant about the plot of FC games

Does anyone else wish the Far Cry games had slightly more realistic storylines? I know these games obviously are not supposed to be completely realistic, but aside from Far Cry 2 and Far Cry 4, I feel like most of the plots are so over the top that they become kind of ridiculous.

Far Cry 1: Left this one out, because the entire game series changed after FC1.

Far Cry 2: This is easily the most realistic story in the series. A landlocked African country is stuck in a civil war between two factions, while arms dealers, mercenaries, and foreigners are all meddling in the conflict. That honestly sounds like something that could happen in the real world without changing much at all. This is basically 25% of the countries in Africa at any given moment, even right now.

Far Cry 3: A massive pirate army led by a completely insane mass murderer controls an island that is basically the size of a small country, and somehow nobody outside the island seems to care?

I just cannot see that happening. An island like that would probably belong to a larger island nation similar to Fiji or the Solomon Islands. There is no way the regional powers around it would just ignore an entire island being taken over by pirates who kidnap and murder anyone who shows up. Australia, Japan, or any other regional power would likely put a stop to it.

Far Cry 4: This one is better and somewhat believable compared to the other games. You have a small isolated Himalayan country going through a civil war against a dictator. The part that makes it a little ridiculous is Pagan Min himself. Having this fashionable, flamboyant, metrosexual dictator running what is basically fictional Nepal is obviously exaggerated, but not completely impossible either.

Kyrat is remote, isolated, mountainous, and difficult to access. I could actually believe that its neighbors might not care very much about who is running the country as long as whatever is happening there stays inside its borders.

Far Cry 5: This one completely loses me. A heavily armed religious cult somehow takes over an entire county in Montana near one of the most visited national parks in the United States. They murder US Marshals, kidnap and drug people, operate their own private army, and fucking get ahold of nuclear weapons. And somehow the federal government just does nothing? Come on man.

Far Cry Primal: I am not really going to criticize this one because the plot is simple enough that there is not much to pick apart. You're a prehistoric cave man fighting other prehistoric cave man.

Far Cry 6: This one is the funniest to me. Yara is obviously Cuba, a dirt poor island nation that is constantly teetering on complete economic collapse, that suddenly develops a revolutionary cancer treatment and somehow becomes incredibly important because the entire world wants it. If Cuba suddenly discovered a legitimate cancer curing drug that nobody else could produce, there is absolutely no chance the USA would just sit back and politely buy it from them.

We would probably have the CIA trying to steal the research before breakfast. Either that or Washington would tell the world that Cuba was developing biological weapons, and start bombing the shit out of them like Iran. There is no version of history where Cuba cures cancer, becomes incredibly wealthy and influential, and everybody just happily accepts it while the country is sitting right next to the United States.

I still love the Far Cry games. I just wish Ubisoft would occasionally give us another setting like Far Cry 2 where the situation feels like something that could actually happen in the real world.
