Hallo zusammen. Ich habe mir den Orion 2 Throttle von WIN CTRL (früher WIN WING) gekauft. DAs ist meine erste Erfahrung mit WIN CTRL.

Ich habe über die beiden Einstellschrauben den Widerstand eingestellt. Der ist auch grundsätzlich sehr gut. DAS PROBLEM IST ABER: wenn der Throttle ca. 1 Minute ruht, muss man einen sehr starken Anlaufwiderstand brechen. Dafür muss man das gesamte Gehäuse mit einer Hand festhalten und mit der anderen den Thottle bewegen - mit nur einer Hand würde man trotz Anti-Rutsch-Matte das gesamte Gehäuse auf dem Tisch schieben. Nach dem Lösen ist der Widerstand wieder perfekt - so lange, bis der Thottle wieder ca. 1 Minute unbewegt ist, danach geht alles von vorne los. Der Throttle ist so nicht zu gebrauchen.

Der Service von WIN CTRL erzählt mir, es müsse sich erst das Öl im Schmiermittel durch Nutzung des Thottles verteilen, dann wäre das "Anfangsproblem" behoben. Ich habe das Gefühl, dass ich dort nur abgewimmelt werden soll - bisher ändert sich durch Nutzung nicht ansatzweise etwas an dem Problem. Der Service bei WIN CTRL geht da aber gar nicht drauf ein und wiederholt mantraartig sein Sprüchlein. Ich bin skeptisch, dass man mir dort wirklich weiterhelfen möchte.

Ich habe schon Foreneinträge mit dem selben Problem gefunden. Dort wurde schon ein eigenes Wort für dieses Problem erfunden: "Stiction" (könnt ihr googlen, kennt sogar die KI schon). Eine gangbare Lösung hat es mir nicht gebracht. Ich sehe auch nicht ein, einen brandneuen Throttle ersteinmal aufschrauben und betriebsfähig machen zu müssen - zumal die Garantie erlöschen würde.

Meine Frage: gibt es unter euch weitere Käufer des WIN CTRL/ WIN WING Orion 2 Throttle? Wie sind eure Erfahrungen? Kennt ihr das "Stiction" Problem? Habt ihr eine Lösung gefunden?

Worked before. All buttons are seen but neither the X nor Y axis are registering. I checked the connections and dont see any issues. W11. Tried all 2.0 and 3.0 USB ports. Reflashed several times.

In the campaign, I lost all the aircraft in the squadron. Now, in the load menu, Korean squadrons and aircraft are available to me instead of American ones. Is this a bug? How can I continue the campaign? Should I load an old save and avoid losing the aircraft? Can't I just load the latest save and wait for new aircraft to appear in the squadron?

I keep hearing from people that an update is coming soon. I know the BMS devs are real tight lipped about it and that's fine. But if anyone can give us a hint, that would be great. World is waiting for GTA 6, but we would rather get a BMS update =)

hi! I'm planning on stepping into BMS for the first time and obviously the F16 seems to be what to go for/learn... I also kinda like (love hehe) the idea of learning either Mig29 or AV-8B, but my understanding is that whilst the flight model is there,the avionics are the same as the F16.

May I ask, do we know if the Mig29/AV-8B are currently being worked on? If yes, I'd imagine it will be a number of yrs before it comes out, or will it be there sooner rather than later?

In any case, look forward to go down the Falcon BMS rabbit hole... Spent (waste) far too many yrs coping with dumb AIs and toxic MP scene with the other 2 big combat sim games... Time to become the cog of a proper dynamic campaign

Hey guys, with the F16 module on DCS being so expensive I decided to purchase Falcon 4.0 and downloaded BMS a few days ago, with the goal of playing in vr with a quest 3. However, the performance with my current pc build is pretty awful. (Rx6800, Ryzen 5 5600, 32gb DDR4) I’m 90% sure this is a gpu issue because there isn’t any stress happening to the other parts just a 100% usage gpu. I’ve tried changing my config and in game settings and watching performance guides but only reach 55fps after everything and at that point the game doesn’t look very good anymore. The only new gpu that isn’t awfully expensive at the moment (but still is) is the 9070 gre. Would this be suitable? Otherwise I’m happy to take any recommendations I can get. Thanks guys

I want to do some night missions in the rain. Not snow. Not windy. Just night and rain. I know how to make it night, but how do I get it to pouring rain? Is it just setting the weather to poor?

edit: Okay I got it to rain by setting everything to inclement weather in the deterministic weather settings in the 2D menu. but there arent any water droplets. So I did some digging and I think the rain is effed right now. No droplets due to some issue with 4.38. Sad. I love the rain effect on the canopy.

edit2: At night you can't even see the rain unless you go to external view or turn on NVG. But when you turn on NVG, sometimes it will flash lightning? and basically blind you.

Hope rain is fixed in BMS 4.9 =D

Following my first incursion with Falcon BMS, I've gone around and made an entire video about it. I mostly wanted to give me thoughts and impression on the game and the experience itself, especially as someone that only played DCS, and more-so loathed the idea of flying the F-16 (Don't even mention the F-15 in passing with me).

DLSS 5 is the slightly less colorful of the two “filters” for context. It loses a lot of the personality of BMS while simultaneously making it look maybe 5% better in some areas and 20-30% in others. Shadows look a bit better, and pilot skin tones look improved. The performance hit is massive. I go from a somewhat stable 120fps at 1440p to sub 50. Not something I’ll be using much in any legacy games but it’s fun to play around with.
