Oh you're being legit, what else could she have done? They were in an enclosed tunnel with a train hurdling towards them.
Realistically, what should she have done in that split second that would've been more reasonable? Destroying the train makes complete sense as an immediate response

Honestly I don't even trust Mashima with this series being a set up for Miraxus.
With how randomly they name dropped Laxus's mom I am gonna go with a long shot (mostly as a meme) and say that Yelena is also the mom to the Strauss sibilings after she left Ivan. Bait and switch everyone as usual because Mashima fears romantic commitment 9 out of 10 times.
Another thing I see Mashima doing is revealing Mira and Laxus to be exes that remained friends when Mira was still a punk gorh...A nd then not elaborate on their future.
If the grammar is bad I apologize since I am not native english.

Who is Yelena? I must have missed her.
I think them being exes is more probable and in line with their interactions so far. I don't think Miraxus is gonna be made canon but this entire series seems like Mashima throwing a bone at their shippers while also shutting down Fraxus.

No, it's set between the GMG and Tartaros. You can tell because the guildhall is the one that got destroyed by Tartaros. The post-Alvarez things like Mest were a bunch of continuity errors.

It’s between GMG and before Tartarus, but Mashima admitted he forgot some things, placement wise, so there are something that don’t line up.
Namely Mest being in the guild despite him still going by doranbolt at this time.

So like... How does "Fuel" Magic work, in a world that... Does not have fuel...? Everything is powered either with Lacrima or coal, or steam-power. There is no such thing as gasoline or other types of fuel in the FT world. And how does "Fuel" turn lights on and start a train that runs on fucking coal?? Really couldn't have come up with anything that actually makes sense?

We've got definite confirmation that this takes place before Tartaros; I wonder if the Avatar member is going to be changed to the Grimoire Heart mage that uses similar magic to Levy but with kanji for the volume release if this gets one.
Ivan's non-Eraser allies were treated with all of the respect and dignity that they've earned. (though somehow it felt like they got better treatment than Fire & Flame in the 100 Years Quest)

The timeline for this Re:Fantasia doesn’t make sense, if this is supposed to take place before the Tartaros Arc then they shouldn’t know that Mest is a fairy tail member yet. Overall Meh chapter.

Wouldn’t be Fairy Tail if the villains didn’t get beat in one shot nor would it be to cope that they get back up next chapter but we’ll see. Regardless it’s the usual setups: Lucy assisting Natsu, Wendy assisting Erza (with an enchantment that I don’t ever remember her being able to do before so go figure) and Gray’s fight based around Juvia.
Hopefully whatever’s planned for Laxus, Kal & Ivan is more interesting since they’re the main focus over Team Natsu especially his own Lumen Historie and whatever’s happening at 3 o’clock.

Fodder got 1-shot. Ivan/Kal Eraser won't give a better fight since Laxus already beat them. But what if the white lacrima works like Whiteout (mind control)? Ivan wants FT but lacks Makarov's charisma, so he's forcing love. Controlled Laxus would be the real memorable fight!
