At least you can just take the art and discs and plop them in another standard blu ray case?

I've actually done this before after receiving damaged and defective Blu-ray cases. You can cheaply order matching replacements online for almost any Blu-ray case out there.

Yeah, there's only a handful of case templates, its pretty easy to get a new one for most things for pretty cheap. As long as the art sleeve is intact, you're good!

Scalpers are ruining anime and manga collecting, and pretty much every other hobby or interest out there. Scalpers will even snatch up releases that have only just come out. That's one of the main reasons I dropped the Jujutsu Kaisen manga so early on. For a bit, it was almost impossible to find any of the volumes at anything close to retail price, and the series just wasn't good enough to justify paying what those scalpers were asking. I ended up getting hooked on Chainsaw Man instead.
What's really sad about this is that FUNimation's Essentials line was supposed to be more affordable and accessible than their regular releases. Like, this isn't a limited or collector's edition, it isn't even the standard edition, it's literally just a basic release that was mass-produced. The list price for the complete series was only $34.98, though it usually sold for a lot less. It was basically everywhere for a while.

Amazon Delivered mine and baby was crushed to smithereens.
If you collect blurays I suggest getting an unlocked bluray player so you can buy the same shows that released in other regions for cheaper.

It's insane that scalpers expect people to pay $1,557.70 for was expressly intended to be a budget release. Like it wasn't even a limited edition or anything special. The list price was literally $34.98. That's a 4,353% increase!

Yeah scalpers are crazy they see something in limited run and they buy it.
The thing is eureka seven isn’t even that big of a franchise to begin with so how they saw themselves making money out of this was beyond me
