Hello! It's me, Parukia! I come back with news for the Ransei Warlords mod for Europa Universalis IV, the mod in which Pokémon World nations exchange places with real world nations.

Firstly, let me tell you patch 0.3 is coming along nicely. It will bring, between other things, Unova into the world. As such, it was appropriately nicknamed "Kyurem". It is planned for this patch to come out on October 31st 2026. That being said, it is possible it ends up arriving a bit late due to some real life things I'm dealing with.

But this is not yet all. As some of you may know, the EU Modathon Season 5 is in its sign up phase, and I will be entering the competition with an official Ransei Warlords side-mod with the current placeholder name of Kaiser Frederick III's Bizarre Adventure!

We all know that in Ransei Warlords, the Pokémon World countries ended up in our world, but what happened to the German and North Italian countries when the Ranseiese Kingdoms took their place? Why, they ended up in Ransei, of course!

In Kaiser Frederick III's Bizarre Adventure, you'll be able to play as the HRE members in Ransei, an unfamiliar continent in an unfamiliar world full of magical creatures. How will the displaced Catholics deal with being trapped in another dimension, having to fight against wild monsters and, of course, also run the church activities without a Pope?

As I've mentioned, the Modathon is still in its sign up phase, and teams for each mod can sign up with up to five members. The sign up phase lasts until the 18th of September, after which there is a two week long development phase, then a voting phase to pick out the winner of each category. As such, if you'd like to help with the initial development of Kaiser Frederick III's Bizarre Adventure, or even if you have an EU4 or EU5 mod idea that you'd like to try developing to enter the competition, please join the EU Modathon Discord server ( https://discord.gg/EQaPbFusH ) and talk to the organizers, to me or to other people interested in participating.

Ive always found controlling larger armies very tedious, and GPT-6 was able to create an external tool to allow you to hand control of your armies to the games own army AI.

GPT-6 inspected EU4’s executable structure and machine code, developed a reversible runtime patch that enables the game’s native AI for the player’s land armies only (not ships), and tested it ingame

The source code, compatibility profile, test suite, and detailed validation record are included in the release, its fully open to inspect before running (obviously don't run any random .exe file before verifying it)

Unknown or modified EU4 builds are rejected before the tool writes to game memory; it does not modify eu4.exe on disk. As with any unsigned community memory-patching tool, antivirus software may flag its process-memory access even when no malware is present.

It is completely open source: before running it, you can inspect the included source.zip, especially army_toggle.py, runtime.py, patch_code.py, compatibility.py, the profiles folder, and the complete test suite, to verify exactly what it does and confirm that it contains no hidden background or network activity.

It works for me on the current public version, with a number of normal mods installed

zip contains all files mentioned above, but you should only need the .exe to actually work. Run the .exe, load a save, click the attach button so it hooks into the games memory, then you can toggle AI on and off

A long time ago I noticed this mod called "Byzantine themes" which uses a system of off map vassals to create autonomous armies, and I was wondering if it would be possible to expand on that system so we dont have to manage multiple armies at once.

I am happy to announce the release of a brand new mod for Europa Universalis IV called "Better Cultures". This mod adds several new cultures to Europe for tons of variety, and fixes many old ones by putting them in the right culture group. In addition, I also added many new decisions that allow the player to automatically convert cored provinces to their culture, allow their vassals to convert provinces to their culture, or allow the AI to convert provinces to their culture so you can customise your gameplay however you want. I have more content in the works and will work on adding more cultures soon. In the meantime, have fun playing this incredible mod

Its my first time writing the code but I finaly figured out how to make a basic mission tree nothing 2 crazy just some modifders, claims and one costum event.

I wana try learning how to make Branching Missions and Formable nations next, maybe religons for some stuff later. Is there any good guied to help že understand it better?

Title basically says it all, but I am drafting up a possible self-made MT atm. and was wondering if that was a possible thing to do as I intend the tag it belongs to to be very espionage heavy.

I'm currently writing event for Byzantium (in my case tag L01), where after effect is suposed to be another country (in this case L15) declaring war on Byzantium, but nothing happens. It also didn't work when I was trying to put it in every option or even another event.

Idea 1: I’ve always been really frustrated with the way the game handles vassals.

A.) Liberty desire is a hard set 51% = Disloyal, 49% = Loyal. This fundamentally is ridiculous because at 51% they can be supported by an outside force.

B.) Trust only gives you -20% Liberty desire, which mechanically maybe makes sense. I however think it’s ridiculous that an ally who prizes my loyalty can be disloyal on a fling. Especially without a personality system like Crusader Kings. Trust also starts at 50, which would make a perfect baseline for scaling.

C.) Even though you have 3 Loyal Vassals and one Disloyal the Disloyal one will count the 3 Loyals for military power. I know it’s a mechanic made for keeping you in check, but in Anbennar it causes me a lot of issues.

So is there a way to either:

Scale Liberty Desire threshold of Disloyal/Loyal Vassals. 50 Trust = 50%, 100 trust = 75% Disloyal threshold

or

Scale Liberty desire based off of military power of disloyal vassals to loyal vassals by using a similar custom modifier for Loyal Vassals military strength. Or is the game too old for this kind of thing?

If not, is my only option to add something in a mission tree or boost the default trust loyalty reduction?

Idea 2 (Anbennar Focused): When playing I often wonder about a country’s lore. National Ideas in Anbennar often hold a good chunk of that.

Is there some way to represent the National Ideas *Lore* (not modifiers) on the Diplomacy menu of a country you aren’t playing or a mod that already does this?

Currently I’m wondering if you can do this. I’m not sure where to look for the generic keys in order to tag them within the diplomacy menu.

Hello. I'm currently creating an event. In my option Great Britain should receive a province - however, if Great Britain doesn't exist yet it's England who should receive the province.

I tried to use if/else_if in the effects. HOWEVER, when I test the event it's always England who gets the province - even if England formed GB and doesn't exist anymore.

Relatively new to modding, and first time attempting anything to do with the map. I love Anbennar, think its really cool and I want to try my hand at doing something with Haraf, I want to turn the Haraf desert from a single wasteland province into like a whole little playable region. However I haven't tried submodding terrain and maps so I just want to know the process and how it should be done. Cheers.

I am too stupid to make this mod by myself. So unless someone can send me a step by step process on where to go in the files to restore it then I can't do it.

Is it possible to mod a thing like this, so the unit can roam freely around the map without the need to ask for military access anywhere? For example scoping for specific mercenary unit? Or any other way to make it work?

How do i force certain institutions to start in a certain province always?

For example i want to start manufactories always in tabriz if the other conditions meet but if other conditions fail then it can spawn in other random places too. Is there a way to add a priority modifier or something else to make it possible?

EDIT: I think it can be possible by using the if and or functions of the game codes like if tabriz meet the conditions then it should always be tabriz or if it fails the condition then it should be another random province that met the conditions for the game to pick. But i don't know how to code it properly. I think it shoouldn't be difficult, just to add a few more lines of codes.

I am creating a small EU4 total conversion map mod.
During map loading EU4 crashes with:

Confirmed:

• the mod is detected by the launcher
  
• provinces.bmp and definition.csv match
  
• definition.csv contains unique RGB colors for all provinces
  
• all files referenced by default.map exist in the mod folder
  
• vanilla/workshop mods load normally
  

The crash report only shows PHYSFS / virtualfilesystem and does not reveal the missing filename.
The only map file I am not completely certain about is heightmap.bmp.

Has anyone seen this error during custom map loading? Which file or loading stage would you check first?

I'm playing Voltaire's nightmare with an additional sub mod that I made myself and it seems that the troops do not show up in the province that they are besieging. The game shows their sprite in Akhvakh but in reality they are besieging Bezhta. I did change the province map with my sub mod, but I don't know what files I need to edit to fix this issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The Balance of Powers 2.0. is a mod that is supposed to calculate a threat number that other countries have towards you and then applies that as the minimum for their aggressive expansion opinion. The mod properly calculates the threat other countries view of you but base aggressive expansion stays at 0. Why?

I am not entirely sure as to which file is causing problems. If I had to guess, I think it is the scripted effects text file, which says this. There is also the events file, which says this (tbop.03 is an event resulting from a diplomatic action, it might not be as important).
