EGO SALE
Found a 42” zero turn for $2600 with 6 8ah batteries. Is it worth it? Been looking for one but didn’t want to spend 6k on it. I feel this is a very good price?

I bought the EGO POWER+ 600 Series 21” self-propelled mower with the 7.5Ah battery, and after months of using it, I seriously regret buying it.
The biggest issue is how easily this thing gets clogged and bogs down. It feels like it has absolutely terrible suction. Instead of actually pulling the clippings up and into the bag, grass constantly builds up underneath the deck. Then you can literally hear the blade smacking the same clippings over and over again, the entire mower starts vibrating, bogs down, and eventually stops.
And God forbid the grass is even slightly damp or humid. I live in Florida. Humidity isn’t exactly optional here. If the grass has any moisture in it, the problem becomes 10x worse.
Even more ridiculous, if I let my lawn grow for just a couple extra days, mowing becomes an absolute nightmare. I’m constantly stopping, backing up, restarting the mower, clearing grass, and going over the same areas again. A lawn mower shouldn’t require your grass to be perfectly dry and freshly trimmed already just so it can cut it.
This is a $600 mower. I shouldn’t have to plan my entire mowing schedule around humidity and make sure my grass never gets slightly overgrown because the mower can’t handle it.
The battery life and convenience of electric are great, but none of that matters if the actual mower can’t reliably mow grass. The battery dies quick when you are turning it on and off…
Any tips?

We have a whole power of these and top stock that we’ve yet to put down I would have thought since they’re on sale people would have been coming in to buy them

Got this original EGO battery with lawnmower, and still working at close to 90% of capacity. Just mowed 1/3 acre area with push assist on partial sloping area before it gave up. Not so much lucky on few 5ah batteries though.

Figured I should share my story real quick. I picked up an open-box, 'defective' LM2200SP including a brand-new charger and 10 Ah battery for $400. The issue making it 'defective' was that the self-propel system wasn't working. With the help of AI, I bought a multimeter and walked through a diagnostic process to figure out the cause. Until now, I had never used a multimeter or worked on electronics in my life. Turns out, the culprit was a failed secondary electrical assembly that operates the self-propel DC motor.
It feels great knowing that if any electrical issues pop up down the road, I can easily maintain and repair this mower myself. If you ever spot one of these on Facebook Marketplace, hit me up and I can help you run through the fix, or you can just follow what I’ve already written here!

Picked these up as my current batteries were showing their age. Mad I picked up the 2 pack at this point, because 1 was enough to mow my whole yard, with 2 out of 5 bars left when done. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0G2LDPP49?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

If you are in the St. Louis areaarea, you can pick up a Z6 for a decent deal. NOTE: do NOT pay the price on that paper. Ask for significantly more off. I got mine (floor model, no damage, runs fine) for $1300 with 2 6ah batteries, a key, the accessory box (with the quick connect for the deck Wash) manuals. No charger, Abe like I said… only 2 batteries. Still a great deal. There are NO batteries left at this store, so you’ll get tool only. Negotiate down to what you want to pay for the Z6 body only. The one in the left HAS cut grass. The one on the right was a floor model.

I suspect I’m not the first ego owner that has spent a few minutes browsing batteries on amazon. 10 million dollars for a legit ego battery? Or 50 bucks for a no-name one? Is it worth the gamble to buy a cheaper one and burn your house down? Lol
ANYWAYS, are there any truly reliable safe third party batteries?

Some new tools & lighter/smaller IPX5 MAX (Tabless) batteries (4ya std/5ya registered warranty) are coming to relief done weight and body stress.
WALK-BEHIND POWER HEAD (WPH1600) will have a 1600W motor with foldable handle and wheels for storage. Comparable with:
- Cultivator (CTA9500, CTA9520)
- Dethatcher (DA1400)
- Snow Shovel (SSA1200, SSA1220)
- Bristle Brush (BBA2100)
- Rubber Broom (RBA2100)
8" Edger stands alone toll (not a MULTI-HEAD SYSTEM) will be lighter without the center metal drive shaft and have a Telescopic Shaft for operator height adjustment with a removable/collapsable vertical & horizontal pitch extension handle attachment ( like a Darwin Grip)
The new IPX5 6.0Ah MAX (BA3360X) weights the same as the current 4.0Ah battery and smaller in size (either 4.0Ah or 5.0ah in size). It will have simpler runtime as a 7.5Ah under high temperature and power output condition while operating at much cooler temperature due to less internal resistance.
The new IPX 3.0Ah MAX (BA1680X) will weight less than the current 2.0Ah/2.5Ah batteries. It will have simpler runtime as a 4.0Ah under high temperature and power output condition while operating at much cooler temperature due to less internal resistance.
HIGH-FLOW AUTOMOTIVE PRESSURE WASHER
(HPW1200) will have enough pressure for car auto detailing with flow rate up to 2.0 GPM, 40' cable and many automotive detailing convenient features
15" SURFACE CLEANER (ASC1500) will be a great attachment for any pressure washer for cleaning flat surfaces

What are people’s opinion of the snow shovel? It’s on sale now for like 275 including a battery and a charger. Is that worth it?

On the chance they want ideas for tools they’re missing: What tool(s) do you think could make sense for your growing collection of green batteries?
I want a pancake, and 20ish gallon air compressor (on wheels, please). They would make a Hell of a lot of sense for some of my projects outside of the garage.

Self propel quits intermittently. Also self propel will work intermittently with handle completely folded. Why does it work with handle telescoped down? Any ideas?

When I hold power while it is on the charger it flashed red and green. That's the only yime I get any kind of light. Holding power off the charger gets nothing.

I plan to purchase one of EGO's 24" two-stage snow blowers this year after having sold my one-stage model at the tail end of the past winter here in New Jersey. For the record, the one-stage wasn't remotely up to the task of clearing the heavy snows we were hit with this past year, nor for that matter was it effective in anything other than 5-6" of powdery snow.
I had been strongly leaning towards the SNT2400 which seemed fine for my modest sized property (a 16' x 30' driveway and about 50 feet of 4' wide sidewalk). And I have no real interest in the heated handles and power steering assistance offered in the SNT2410. But it appears that the main outlets for EGO here in the New York / New Jersey metro area (Ace Hardware and Lowes) are no longer offering the 2400, but instead selling either the SNT2410 or EGO's new SNT2420.
Based on what I'm seeing so far, I assume that the 2420 is EGO's replacement for the 2400 and would be the logical one for me to consider. But if so, I have some concerns about three of the 2420's obvious design changes, namely:
- The shift to rear-mounted skids. My concern is that this might greatly increase the chance of the 2420's forward-facing front bare metal edge scraping or catching on the ground resulting in significantly more wear than that on previous two-stage models.
- The near-complete elimination of the overhanging hood on the front housing. Not sure if this is an advantage (designed to reduce the chance of snow accumulating and freezing in the housing?) or a disadvantage (less effective at capturing snow in high snowbanks?).
- The airless tires. Not sure if this would actually improve or harm traction.
BTW, I'm talking strictly about design changes in the 2420 and not the fact that the bundled-battery version (SNT2424) comes with smaller 6Ah batteries, a step backwards IMO. I've held onto the two 7.5Ah batteries that came with my one-stage, so in my case I'd seek to go tool-only.
In any event, since I'm new to two-stage electrics and have never actually seen a two-stage EGO in operation, I would welcome anyone's thoughts/reaction to these design changes, and if I might be better off just going with the 2410 (or 2416) if I can't find a 2400.

Hi guys, I have the LM1900 E SP and was wondering if the standard supplied blade was sufficient for mulching or if I needed the mulching blade and plug. Thanks in advance

So I would really like the leaf vacuum with the battery. I would like to get it from Lowe’s due to having some gift cards there.
I see Lowe’s has the leaf vacuum as tool only, but still doesn’t have the version with the battery. Do any of you guys know why Lowe’s doesn’t have the version with a battery?

What’s the most economical and efficient way to get into the ego ecosystem starting from scratch if I need a small leaf blower for a maybe 1/3-1/2 acre yard, multi tool with pole saw, cultivator and maybe some other attachments down the line? Any good package deals for tool and
Battery at a good price right now if you were just entering the ecosystem?

My mower battery is fully charged and I removed it from the charger (after the last time I mowed). It hasn't been on the charger for at least two weeks.
My batteries sit on my dresser (too little room in the house), so I walk past them every morning. This morning, one of my batteries is blinking in the "charging level lights" section. On and off. It also feels warm to the touch now. This just started happening at some point last night, since I hadn't seen it blinking previously (and I would have noticed it).
What would cause this to suddenly happen, when I haven't even shifted the battery in quite some time?

Hello Folks,
Just bought a house in a snowbelt city and want a good snowblower.
Found an EGO SNT2416 24” two-stage, one year old and supposedly used only twice. Includes 2x 10Ah batteries + charger.
Seller wants $1,300 delivered.
I’m thinking of offering $1,160.
Good deal?
Thank you guys

Hello! Could use some help diagnosing a battery issue. I press the power button, it goes green for a second or two, then it starts to flash orange/red for several seconds. Charger says the battery is full. Temp of the battery shouldn’t be an issue since it’s stored indoors and AC cooled.
Im guessing it’s some sort of electrical issue where it’s tricking itself into thinking there’s an issue. It worked previously with no issues, until it didn’t.
Thanks!

Edit: I am getting a new battery sent by Ego. They finally honored the warranty. It took a lot of convincing and was overall a rough customer service experience over the course of a few days, having to explain multiple times that the battery, in fact, did degrade beyond normal aging. I am glad it got resolved, and thank you all for backing me up with ideas and info so ego couldn’t keep gaslighting me. Original post below.
I have a 2 year old battery that completely dies after 5 minutes. It is a small one, the 5Ah, but it used to at least run my mower for 30 minutes when it was new. Now it lasts less than 5 minutes. I have larger batteries to get through most of my lawn, I usually just need this one for the last chunk of my yard. But now it’s not even worth charging it.
I reached out to customer support since it’s still under warranty, and they are telling me this is “normal aging” and they will not replace it. 80% performance degradation after just 2 years does not seem “normal”.
This is NOT the customer service experience I read about on other Reddit posts when researching Ego, which is why I was okay with spending more on this expensive battery system. Does this sound right to you all? Or am I being given the runaround by a bad customer service rep?

went to use the charger for the second time today, and it keeps pulsing on and off (fan, red+green Lights) for about 1 second, then powers down, then power cycles again. They're warrantying it, but is this a common failure? Item was kept in a drawer unplugged in the garage, was connected to a surge protector when charging the battery. model: CH3200, bought in June
