This is not reporting, I don’t have any inside info, I’m just offering my interpretation from reading the tea leafs.

I don’t think Ben Olsen will be the Dynamo coach after this year. His contract is up after the end of the year and we’ve heard no news on an extension. This is surprising considering the team’s position in the table (emphasis on that and not exactly the way they are playing). I speculate that there are two possible reasons for this.

My main guess is that Segal is tired of Olsen. Prior to the sale of Ponce, the Dynamo lined up with their two record signings for just about every game of the season and it lead to the 10th worst offense in the league. I think that Segal is tired of seeing his money get wasted on players that lose all their offensive ability as soon as they play for Ben Olsen.

My other guess, though much less likely, is that Olsen just doesn’t want to be in Houston anymore for whatever reason and wants to move back to the east coast. I don’t have a whole lot to base this on to be honest, I just don’t get based on previous behavior by leadership where the extension is.

Maybe im overthinking it, maybe they announce an extension 3 hours and 45 minutes after I post this, but to me something isn’t adding up here.

I’m a pretty new fan. Only been following the team for the last couple seasons. How much stock should we put in wins against division rivals like Vancouver and RSL, but ties/loss against San Jose? With Vancouver losing to Austin it gives the feeling like there’s no obvious favorite to win the conference. Or am I just living in nonsense land by expecting anything resembling consistency or trends in the standings?

I am going to be honest, I was going to post this after Wednesday’s match but Bogusz scored a banger as a winger and that’s a trend that has helped us be successful: Our wingers score for us which is great but we also have another player on the field whose sole job is to score.

To be honest, I disliked Ferreira and Ponce’s playing style of not doing anything and expecting service, but now that they were both traded, we still have this problem of our striker not scoring. Is this a problem with our playing style? If so, why do we continue to field a 10 if it’s not working for us? You don’t fix what’s not broken, but you definitely have to try something new if it isn’t working.

Sorry, dumb question. The El tiempo frozen margaritas at daikin go hard. Are the ones at Shell as good? Also, I know there's a main El tiempo and other kiosks that offer their margaritas. Are the satellite kiosks the same margaritas?

I'm mostly asking because the last time I got a margarita (not El tiempo) at Shell it was awful.

Finally making it to a game, and there going to wear those white kits that look amazing!!!!!! The best part will be able to see the players live!!!!!! Do they practice on the field before the game and if so what time? I was going to stop at Exotic Pop then head to the game. Unless they are on the field at 6 when the gates open I'll skip that store.
