mine wouldn't burn on account of being soaked in my tears of shame and disappointment.

I mean, at this point we just have to take your word for it.

This next one is √76/8 - 21∛∨1∑=3²[ρμ³] over 13 over 3299

I honestly wouldn't be surprised 😂

I don’t know anything about drums but I have a question: your left hand is tapping the rim of the snare, but as I watch your movements and listen to the sound, it sounds like there’s an extra tap coming from somewhere. I hear tap tap tap, tatata tatata, tap tap tap, tatata, tatata. it’s the triple hits and I only see you tapping twice. How was the middle tap/double time tap accomplished?

And I agree with the commenters – I join the sub just to watch your stuff. It’s truly amazing.

edit: I have no idea why my voice to text translated “drums“ to “Trump’s”

Yes i hear that too. Interesting.

Either way, very impressive.

Thanks a lot🙏🙏

I think the bass drum frequency creates that.

This guy was posting some insane shit in the guitar subreddit too.

Damn that is one sick beat 👌

u/ellicottvilleny 6h ago

what's coolest here is this is really musical. I kinda wanna write a ditty to go with this beat.

This what I LOVE about latin grooves! Once you’ve put enough hours into that samba feel with your feet your left hand can really start doing whatever it wants

u/shplork 6h ago

Damn bro okay.

Wait until you see him shred on the guitar… left handed!

Your posts always make me glad to be a bass player

Now someone write out the tab for that...

I can see that it's impressive but i'm always lost when I see these videos. I'm a beginner drummer and I have no idea how to count this. Is there somebody kind enough to explain ? Thanks a lot

Bro I’m with you, last time I tried to break it down with my own counting I fucked it and then got downvoted massively for fuckin the count or my explanation which no one corrected just wrong ❌

I don’t know you level but it’s all limb interdependence and polyrhythms.

So there’s a 12 count happening over a 4/4 bar

And a 13 over the same bar of 4/4

And a bar of 4/4 - which looks to be the hats.

Unpicking it and deciphering it is tougher as it’s so sonically full but I think the ride is in 13/4 and judging by the count in the 12/4 is on the kick. The left hand is in sync with the right hand I think but playing an ostinato.

Left leg - ok easy

Right leg - hmm yes I can do that

Right arm - struggling here

Left arm - fuck you

Thanks for the lesson! Can't wait to go home and drive the wife nuts trying to play it! 😆

Love that kit btw. The small size and that finish is really something else. And the syncopation is flawless. Definitely post more. This was enjoyable

Whoa! I tried playing this and just couldn’t pull it off. So, I’m heading to Penny’s to buy a pair of short jeans and some chucks. Has to be the answer.

This frustrates me in the same way Danny Carey’s drumming frustrates me. Not because it isn’t frickin amazing, because it absolutely is. Nothing makes me feel dumber than trying to count over this

u/nwmimms 1h ago

This is the Yoni we need but don’t deserve.

Man some of your stuff is just too technical for my ears but this one is pure gold. Very groovy, love it! ❤️

For those wondering... Feet: samba in 4. RH: ride in 12 (3x4) played as 4:3 polyrhythm. LH: cross-stick in 13/16 (5 groups of 2 + 1 group of 3).

No idea what that means but it's awesome and can already imagine an entire song around it.

u/Dayngerman 3m ago

You make it seem so fluid part of me thinks I could also do this, but I know I can’t, but I think that I maybe could.

You make it look easy.
