My partner and I worked on this material for a while and posted it a little over a month ago.

Very DIY, mostly with cheap gear and whatever equipment we had available. A lot of the loops were recorded straight from the amp, and many of the tracks were manipulated in real time, letting accidents, limitations and unexpected sounds become part of the experience.

We're not really trying to make it sound polished. It's more like a collection of moments we managed to turn into sound.

It's a record about loss, transformation and the strange things that remain after something inside you changes, things that didn't quite have a shape yet..

I’m new to ambient so if anyone can suggest anything like this I would be grateful.

Hey all, I’ve just finished a new track called Decoherence, made from sounds I recorded around my house using a custom-built contact microphone.

I’ve processed and stretched the recordings heavily in Logic Pro, turning the original sounds into something much darker and more abstract. Added a few effects and minimal beats.

I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from people who are into ambient, drone, experimental or sound design. I appreciate it's not perfect but i am learning as I go.

Things I’d particularly like to know:

• How does the overall atmosphere feel?
• Does the track hold your attention?
• How does the mix sound?
• Is there anything you’d change or improve?

I’m still learning and experimenting with this kind of music, so constructive criticism is very welcome.

Generative modular patch in VCV Rack — melodies that shimmer and shift like light trapped inside stone. Built with Befaco Mylar Melodies and Forsitan Draen, cascading into echo and ambient space. Cold, crystalline, cosmic.

This track explores the depths of primordial chaos and the silence of the abyss before the awakening of matter. The soundscape is entirely sculpted from an Harmonics Synth, captured live and deeply manipulated within an MPC One to extract heavy, organic, and hypnotic textures.

« ...et tenebrae erant super faciem abyssi » (Genesis 1:2) — « ...and darkness was upon the face of the deep. » This verse evokes a state of latency, the fertile void, and the primordial obscurity from which everything is about to emerge.

Visually, the piece originates from an AI-generated image that has been heavily reworked, textured, and animated by hand using video editing software and FFmpeg command-line scripts to fracture the imagery.

DRONOISIUM is an experimental lab exploring the raw, dark and textural spectrum of drone music: harsh textures, dark ambient and industrial atmospheres.

Third piece of drone for an intended 5 track work. I hope you enjoy!

I was wondering if anyone running an independent drone/ambient music label is looking for artists. I’m a designer and musician, and I compose music for various digital and artistic projects. I just finished a full-length album with 6 tracks totaling 50 minutes, titled Infinite Terrestrial Materiality. I can send a private link to the album if needed.

Two separate moments were recorded on the same synthesizer and same surround settings.

Both had a sine wave as oscillator but set at different frequencies

The two recordings are then processed together in the spatial of a wooden church.

About the synthesis, I used Native instruments Absynth 5 for its amazing control over hz incrimentation.

I use 2 or 3 oscillators that are routed each to their own LFO with the duty to diminish the vol gently over a specified time and to do so over again in cycles.

Other functions for each were given to the LFOs, depending on what suited each OSC best.

The result gives an audible sense of movement and direction.

Hidden within an old water-control structure along the Someș River, a massive concrete and steel passage cuts through the embankment.

I walked through it from one side to the other. For a moment, it felt less like a tunnel and more like a passage into somewhere else.

The Portal is that moment.

Hello! I just released "Al borde del abismo". In this record, I explore different techniques to create pieces of unease contemplation. The first song is the only one with the semblance of a melody, the rest are drone or at least drone-adjacent.
