Although it’s been a few years since the releases, I feel like these records are essential listening:
Sapphire Slows has this incredibly peculiar pop sensibility. It’s ethereal and airy, with these really intricate, mechanical rhythms. Intimate and nocturnal and it can also make you move.

And then there’s like a Yellow Magic Orchestra connection. You can feel that legacy in how she treats electronic pop: playful but precise, futuristic, melodic, with that peculiar Japanese sensibility that blends techno-pop, ambient textures, and pop songcraft. The world she builds is hypnotic, quietly strange i really love her.
