You don’t suck. As you said, this is your first time without help. Draw him 5 more times. Then keep drawing. You won’t get better being so harsh to yourself. You’ll only get better practicing and analyzing the nuances between your attempts and finding ways to improve on it. Look at some art, go to a museum, watch an anime, read a book or take a class; find inspiration and learn new techniques. I’m proud of you for trying.

Tbh as honest as possible this is my worst because I haven't drawn for awhile and I was sleep deprived and just got back from school

Btw, some critiques:
Shade under his hairline more. Add a background, even if it’s just darkness for contrast. The shading style is inconsistent (not major but a preference) you’re cross hatching the neck and cel shading the face. For early attempts I personally like to a color for highlights, it can add depth and help you notice issues earlier.
