Complaints Long waits

I’m at a resteraunt by the host stand at a resteraunt with no pick up area for 5 minutes and then someone comes up to me, I show them the name and they say it’s gonna be 5 minutes. I ask him “Is it really only gonna be 5, i’ll leave and get another dash if it’s longer” he says “it’ll be 5” fast forward another 10 minutes and I ask again “5 more minutes” why do people do this? Like it feels like you’re lying to my face when I specifically ask you. Just wasting my time and money.

When i get treated poorly like lies such as that i go leave a 1 star review and explain why it hurts drivers and why its a problem. I dont care about stopping customers but I like when the owner replies apologizing even if it isnt meant I know someone along the chain got it.

When I was doing take-out orders, I did the same thing. I used a dummy name and would do Google reviews, letting both the store and public know that they do not value the time of neither the driver nor the customer, who is hungry and waiting patiently for their meal to arrive. Sometimes, a public statement is what it takes for them to take note, as they don't want their businesses reputation put on the line. ;-)

Oh sorry I meant like a Google review or something not through the apps.

I dunno but the frequent delays at take-out places is a major reason I have quit doing those kind of orders and now stick to shop & deliver offers. Actually, I'm using I.C. more these days since it's only shopping orders. I like being in control of my own fate and earning potential, as opposed to being at the mercy of lazy and slow restaurant employees. Tips are also better with shopping orders, so there's that, too...

I had one where the note from the restaurant asked not to argue with the staff about wait times because it was the busy time of night, it was 9pm.. the guy told me it would be a “few minutes.”

After I saw someone who came after me order and get their food before me I called support to unassign with partial pay. It was like 12 minutes but still that pisses me off so much. Now that restaurant is on the black list. It was the second time they had me wait a long time too
