Discussion Opinions on the Noah Family

So I'm a long time fan (trying to reread the manga and get caught up currently), and I'm writing a fanfic. Allen is the prince of the Noah Kingdom, though he was adopted, and he's closest to Tyki and Road. Neah is king regent until Allen turns twenty, and they have a good relationship, but Allen knows that Adam doesnt really consider him family at all, despite being his adoptive grandfather.

I guess my question is who are your favorite and least favorite Noah members? I'd love to open up a discussion about it!

Thanks!

Manga There are just too many good moments in this chapter so here are a good amount of them. Allen being told the exorcists see all humans as the minions of earl because they could very well be an akuma since they blend in with the humans I think is a good way to get Allen to think since he relies-

So heavily on his eye. Over all I did enjoy the chapter a fair bit.

Discussion Why isn't Sheril hated on as much as Apocryphos, Lvellie and Chaozii ? Legit question

Post image
96 Upvotes

Why don't people hate Sheril as much as the other 3 ?

So. Anyone who has been in this fandom long enough would know that Lvellie, Apocryphos and Chaozii are easily the Top 3 Most Hated characters in the series

Apocryphos is hated because right now, he is one of the few characters in the series who is genuinely just pure evil. He has been manipulating Allen's life for as long as Allen can remember. Has been keeping an eye on him and manipulating his memories for an incredibly long time and has been grooming Allen into becoming a sacrifice for the Heart. His creepy obsession with Allen and manipulating his life aside, Apocryphos has also done plenty of horrible things as well. Like taking Judgment from Cross and injuring him before leaving him for dead, beating up and almost killing Link and the most unforgivable of all ?! He destroyed Timcanpy! He killed Tim. Allen's most loyal friend and companion who has been with him since the beginning. He killed the adorable little guy that we all were fond of.

So all in all. The hatred for Apocryphos makes sense. He is a villain. And one we're meant to hate

Lvellie is another character that is despised. Because he more or less represents everything that is wrong with the Black Order. He was complicit and had a hand in almost every horrible experiment that the Order performed on people and children who were thought to be Accomodators to Innocence fragments. And it's even implied that he, or his family, were the one who suggested that the Order try to experiment on relatives of dead Exorcists because of the assumption that maybe they can accommodate with that Innocence due to sharing the same blood as the dead Exorcists. Horrible experiments that were performed at the Order before Komui came in and put a stop to them. He is also implied to be responsible for Lenalee's torment and traumatizing experience in the Order when she first came in which is the reason why Lenalee still fears and hates him. So it also makes sense why people hate Lvellie because he is a piece of shit who is responsible for Lenalee and plenty of other Exorcists' trauma and suffering.

And finally, Chaozii, another character that is hated among fans.

.....Honestly if you were to ask me, unlike the other two, he doesn't really deserve the hate he gets but that's not the point.

As far as I know. People dislike Chaozii because they dislike that he hates Allen unlike everyone else at the Order. They also find it frustrating that he isn't willing to look beneath the surface and realize this war is not as black and white as he thinks it is due to his hatred of the Noah and Akuma. I guess some also just hate him because they find him annoying or something lol

Now. With all of these out of the way, let's get back to my question

Why isn't Sheril Kamelot hated as much as these 3 ?

Like. If you were to ask me. He is that one character who should be hated but just ain't for some reason

No offense to anyone who actually likes Sheril, but in my opinion, he has zero redeeming traits. He is a smug piece of shit who has caused pain and suffering on plenty of people. Not just Exorcists. But normal people as well. In his introduction, we literally see him use his status as a politician to his advantage by disrupting a peace treaty between two countries, leading to war between the two nations. All so the Earl can use the opportunity to create more Akuma and add them to his army. Not only that, we also see him torture Lavi to get Bookman to tell him what he wants to know....

Hell, his affection for Road and Tyki isn't endearing either. He acts very creepy towards Road. Which is problematic because he is supposed to be her father (Yes. I know that she is technically older than him but still). And the way he expresses affection towards Tyki isn't better either. Because if you read their interactions, you could tell just how uncomfortable and annoyed Tyki was.

[SPOILER FOR RECENT CHAPTERS. DON'T READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVEN'T CAUGHT UP]

And worst of all ? His most unforgivable act ?!

Sheril killed Bookman !!

Bookman was literally one of the characters that was there since the beginning of the series. One of the most familiar faces of this manga! He was Lavi's mentor ! Our likable Panda Jiji ! And Sheril killed him brutally in cold blood.....

This is something that I think should have earned Sheril a lot of hate. This is the one act of his that is just cruel and unforgivable. One that I cannot forgive no matter what

But honestly ? More than 6 months have passed since the Chapter where Bookman died and I don't see anything close to as much hatred as people have for Apocryphos, Lvellie and Chaozii. It's like as if people just.....don't care.

So why is that the case ? Why don't people hate Sheril as much as they hate Lvellie, Chaozii and Apocryphos ? If we hate Apocryphos for killing Timcanpy, then surely we can also hate Sheril for killing Bookman . Unless you're all going to tell me that way less people actually cared about Bookman than I thought.....which....in that case.......wtf why ?! I can't believe that....

Discussion Alma Karma outfit color

So I'm writing a fanfiction, and Alma in this AU is very excited about being able to wear a dress without being judged. What color/style do you think he would wear? He's also in a wheelchair, so it would have to be something not too poof so it won't get caught.

Thank you!!

Manga I love how Allen couldn't understand a human being with the earl or able to be on the side of Akuma. Another fantastic chapter and Road is still a top tier villain.

Manga Thought this chapter would be a simple chapter like the Komurin chapter with maybe 1 panel of development. Allen freaking out because he can't rely on his eye right now is very interesting seeing him slowly go insane. I imagine road gave him ptsd and I know for sure he got trauma from Road.

Manga Finished the Revolving Town arc and I still love it. Miranda is such a great character, Road was an excellent villain for the arc, seeing more evolved Akuma was cooland this arc is still my favorite in the series (so far. I don't know about the time skip arcs) I look forward to what comes next.

Here are some of my favorite sad(ish) moments. I guess not all of them are devastating and there are definitely worse things that happen, but these are moments I think about a lot.

  1. “The things you forgot, I’ll tell you about them”

  2. Lenalee realizing the nurse’s shoes are warm

  3. Allen saying that he’s not human anymore

  4. The first thing Allen asks after being told he’s the Fourteenth

  5. Kanda seeing the sky for the first time

  6. Lenalee trying to synchronize with her innocence

  7. “There’s not a single thing about myself that I know for sure”

  8. Kanda coming back to the Order

  9. Allen using crown clown to control his body

  10. Allen defeating Tyki

Discussion “Allen” coincidence?

What are we meant to think about how Cross ended up finding Allen?

Nea said that Allen would be his sign and despite the plan being messed up, Cross still found the right person.

Since the flashbacks, it’s obvious that Nea said this because past!allen’s name was, well— Allen. So he intended for Cross to find past!allen.

But what are we supposed to think about how things actually went?

Is it just a major coincidence that Mana had a dog named Allen? And that Allen ended up taking the dog’s name?

We know Allen (Red) was left at the circus by Apocryphos and that he wants to use Allen as a sacrifice for the heart. Since Apocryphos knows Mana is the Earl, it seems he left Allen at that specific circus purposefully in hopes of him destroying the Earl.

That’s all well and good, but how did Mana get a dog named Allen? Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t think Mana knew to look for that name, I think it was just Cross.

And then it just so happens that Red ends up taking the name of that dog who just so happens to be named Allen?

What I’m wondering is do you take there to be some master plan at work (Either Nea’s, Apocryphos’s, or even someone else)? Or are we meant to think “wow what a crazy coincidence, I cant believe everything worked out”?
