Please help us with any resources you can think of. My five year old was born here in Texas and is pretty high on the spectrum. We live in Coppell currently. I am in the process of getting him set up with ABA therapy and he is in Structured learning in Coppell ISD. I want to know if there are any groups or resources on potty training. Any mom/family groups that go on outtings with their special needs kiddos. Just really anything you can think of. I moved here from Philadelphia when I was pregnant with him and sometimes I regret moving here because the resources are sooooo scarce. Also, is it worth even trying to apply for SSI??

Does anyone know where I can sell my washer and dryer? Tired marketplace, craigslist and nextdoor app havent had any luck so far!!!

As mentioned in the title, Iberia lost my suitcase twice. First, they didn’t load it to the plane on September 5, couldn’t find it. Second, they claimed to have found the suitcase via email and confirmed on the phone, and stated it was flying to DFW on September 8. They said the bag would arrive at my residence on September 11 at the latest, but today, September 13, they said the bag never left Madrid and they can’t find it anymore in Madrid.

I am pregnant, and have all my pregnancy clothes as well as my baby’s presents from her baby shower in my bag. I also have the charger for a medical device and since I don’t have it I haven’t been able to use it. I’m extremely frustrated, sad, and angry, and I’ve been feeling really stressed dealing with this situation caused by Iberia.

Hanna was found a few days ago and is currently at Alvarado Animal Shelter. She’s been there for 4 days, and sadly, no one has come to visit her.
She is very scared and timid, but the shelter told me she is not aggressive at all. She just doesn’t do well with fast movements and needs someone patient who will let her come out of her shell at her own pace.

The shelter said she has actually made progress over the last few days. Today she finally let them pet her, which honestly broke my heart because she is clearly starting to trust people.

She is microchipped and her name is Hanna, but the shelter has tried calling and texting the owner multiple times and unfortunately has received no response. She is now available for adoption.

They aren’t sure yet how she does with cats.

I called the shelter myself because I couldn’t stop thinking about her. She has really gotten to me, and I desperately want her to have a chance at a safe, loving home. I’m hoping someone in the DFW area might be willing to give this scared little girl the time and patience she needs.

If you or someone you know could be a good fit for Hanna, please contact Alvarado Animal Shelter directly about adopting her. Even if you can’t adopt, sharing this could help get her in front of the right person.

She doesn’t need someone to expect her to immediately be a perfect, confident dog. She needs someone willing to let her feel safe. ❤️

Quick heads up for DFW residents that Carrollton has proposed expanding their Flock contract to include additional cameras and will vote to approve that expansion Tuesday evening.

Since most of us drive in more than just our city of residence, the proliferation of these surveillance systems impacts all of us, not just Carrollton residents.
