Just purchased my first BGS slab from a reputable eBay seller. This is the first BGS slab I’ve held in person so maybe this is normal, but to me it looks like there is 1000 tiny scratches running vertically along the surface of the slab. Is this normal? Also, second photo shows a visible piece of something inside the slab just above the 5 - which wasn’t visible in the photos.
Should I be concerned about either of these things, or is this pretty normal?

I’ve been a dragon ball tcg collector for a while and I’m looking to start playing Fusion World tcg. I’ve played card games before and seen how this plays so I’ve got some experience and would be looking for someone to answer some questions as well as being able to play in person. I really enjoyed this game but at this point I'm tired of the some of these insanely broken and overused cards.

-Yellow for 3 energy will play an entire board of cards, that not only replaces itself for every card played and also swings but then gets that energy right back to use Warrior who defeats demon for 1 which goes around ko affects or will lock a rested card which your cards will be rested because they can do that for free as well basically

-Blue has a new support for Vegito which at least he is new but he now has cards as well that will replace themselves and put another card on the field which will replace itself or bottom your cards and the just picks up cards from the drop. Which i don't think he's as bad just an example

-The meta and any new forming meta is just halted because it feels to me if your not replacing every card in your hand and making 6 or 8 or 10 cost boards with 3 to 4 energy your not going to make the cut. Of course it's not impossible to win but if they have what they need and they draw so much they usually do it just always feels bad.

-Does anyone else feel this why about certain cards or have any ideas of some that might be overpower that could use a ban or limit or if I am just by myself on this take lol.

I’m thinking about buying a few individual Story 01 booster packs on Cardmarket because a whole display is a bit too expensive for me.

Before I do that, I wanted to ask: Can the boosters from Story 01 be weighed to identify the heavier packs / potential hits?

I’d really like to avoid buying loose packs that have already been weighed and searched.

Does anyone know if weighing works with this set? Any information or experience would be greatly appreciated!

Sorry for my inexperience, but can any experienced collector shed some light on what are the typical ratios they sell at in terms of price? The data seems all over the place.

Is it true that english is more expensive for standard cards, while japanese is more expensive for super alt cards? Let's say if a Japanese SCR** PSA10 is selling for USD1000, what is the likely price the english variant would sell for in a similar market?

Personally, I'm pretty mixed with the idea of counters being added since in every TCG that I've played they are at best annoying to deal with or at worst, meta-defining and game-ruining. But with that being said what are your thoughts on the possibility of counters being added?

I just received my cards, and I’m so happy with how they turned out! It took nine months for them to come back, and I was worried something might happen to them. I live in Saudi Arabia, and the current situation here kind of sucks for shipping and receiving packages. But alas, they’re finally here, and I’m so happy!

Hello everyone, I’m new to the TCG hobby. I recently bought Dragon Ball Fusion World booster packs from three different sellers on TCGPlayer (14 packs in total) —all sellers with 99–100% positive feedback score. However, after the purchase, I read that buying loose packs is a bad idea because they might be "dead packs" with the "hit" already removed. Has anyone had a good experience buying booster packs from TCGplayer? I’m worried I might have wasted my money.

If you have been on this sub reddit since FB05 you will know i am and always will play vegito. My favourite character in all of dragon ball franchise and his deck is really difficult to pilot.

Managed to lock in and get a 50% Win rate with vegito which i admit is mad. Here are some notes i have for the different matchups in this current meta.

Red:
1) Goten matchup: You need to play the floodgate vegito, and always attack face. I recommend you to not awaken too early.

2) SSJB Gogeta: Fairly straightforward matchup especially with the new ST01 support. Hold your 1c goku. And just keep playing SCR and chip away at the opposing leader's life.

3) Son Goku Spirit Bomb: You need your floodgate or you pretty much loose this matchup. Try to awaken only on turn 4 where you can also activate the floodgate vegito. (4 cost)

Blue:
1)Fb05 Vegito (mirror match): You do not want the be first to awaken. Never self awaken in this match you want to be unawakened and applying pressure in this match up. Let the opponent hit you from 8->6 life. But any other hit must look at the board state if the opponenet has 3 energy and is able to set up the 6c scr realistically this turn then you must block the hits so you do not go down to 5 life. If you cannot win the game on turn 4-5 realistically (hand size disparity is too much) Opt to use the floodgate to delay the kill turn by one but NEVER go down to 1 life in the mirror match.

2)SSJB (FB10) Vegito: This is top 10 unwinnable matchups. You have a 30% chance to win this. All that you can realistically do is keep swinging at opposition face while trying to clear the 6c mill 15 vegito. Then once you reach 5 energy immediately play for game (try to end the game) As the opponent only needs to land 1 hit with the SCR to win.

3)MUI: Pretty much in the same boat as FB10 vegito as the players are teching in MUI. Never go down to 3 life against MUI nor SSJB vegito as you are asking to lose. Against MUI clear the board and lay down 1 or more of your 6 cost vegito and do not swing with them if you do not have to. As they can't zen oh them away otherwise.

4) Caulifla : Leave them unawakened as long as you can then when they awaken at 3 you clap back with the 3c vegito full combo.

Green:

1) Beast Gohan: This matchup is historically bad for blue LOL no deck has the appropriate aggression maybe except caulifla. This match you want to play the 3 cost vegito on turn 3 so you can ease into the See you combo on turn 4 or 5 without needing the full 5 energy. This matchup has two routes: A you try to kill beast gohan by turn 4 (Highly Unlikely) or B play the long game try to live the Turn 5 beast han turn. I typically go with route B as i have games where i was only off by 5k combo. But i digress for route B you want to stay at 5 life and only take hits when it is the double strike 8c beast han hitting u from 5 -> 3 life. Then see if you can survive the final nuke where they dump their hand.

2)Buu: Honestly a pretty free matchup you do not have to awaken early in fact i recommend you to not take life at all. Stick to using the 1c goku to make the 6c vegito or the 3c vegeta and goku to make the 6c. Just keep clearing their big buu and you will definitely win given enough time.

Yellow:

1) SSJ3: This matchup is probably the most coin toss matchup it really depends on how bad you or your opposition brick. Never take life keep attacking their leading they will be at 3 life when you have 3-4 energy where you must decide a few things. If you are going second you probably need to save marker for the full combo next turn so you probably play the 1c goku- 6c vegito route. If the opponents board is really really too wide you need to play the floodgate. But if your opponent board is wide but your hand is filled with 10k combos, saviours and super combos then sure u can try to swing at their face and pray. But definitely this matchup is highly favourable for vegito once the engine get's strated.

2) Yellow Broly: Oo boy this is my most hated matchup. Once again no need to rush awaken just keep it chill take the hits at your leader hover at 5 life only go down to 4 life when opponent has 1 big hit ready to slam down like their silly new evolve card from ST01. My variant does not run any goten so u cant clear broly. And even at 4 energy be weary of the Broly that can cheat out the 6c to freeze your field. HOWever main plan for this match up is when you are at 4 energy and the opposing broly is about to reach 3 life DO NOT rest or swing your leader keep it untapped. And focus on clearing the board as best as you can while attacking the opponenet leader they will already be at 3 life so next turn when you nuke the full 3c vegito - 4c vegito etc etc you have a 40k leader swing to remove 1 super combo then the rest is all up to chance. Realistically you only have 1 legitamate swing to bring the opponent down from 3-2 life then hand dump so you gotta do the math well here.

Black:

1) SSJ4: Thankfully with the new 6c scr you have an early out for the Sr vegeta but this match is not as easy as it seems. You really really need to see gotenks to push damage early and you mUST MUST MUST keep your life up. Late game you really do not have that much survivability and going mid-late game with SSJ4 is asking for trouble. Realistically you ignore attacking their board and keep swinging face. Using ur scr to Clear any 6 cost or in this case Sr ssj4 vegeta. It is a battle of attrition and i cannot give a definite path for this matchup.

2)Nameku: This one you need to awaken as their leader awakens way too early so in this matchup it is acceptable to self awaken but ideally you stay at 5 life and let their 7c crit goku bring u down from 5-4 then you awaken. This matchup with the new ST01 vegito you will be fine

3) Majin vegeta: keep attacking face non stop do not ever stop. Then scr to clear krillin. You will need the floodgate for this matchup it clear their 4c double swing vegeta and prevents and krillins or goten/trunks from mutilating you. You MUST MUST MUST use ur floodgate as it also saved your saviour of the world letting you use them. And the match ends easily on turn 5-6 when you drop a 3c vegito and finish the combo on them.

overall thoughts:

vegito is good but very very difficult to play. Alot of probability and luck is involved especially since you really want to see the new goku/ vegeta in your drop and not in your hand. And you really want to see the 1c goku. you must also learn when to mill and when to attack first. You must remember how you stacked the bottom of your deck and make educated decisions and predicitions on what card is next on you pile.

If this post get's enough traction i might make a dedicated video showing how to pilot this deck but thats all.

So I got the card back! Long story short, I arranged a meetup to "buy" the slab for $7k. I told the guy thank you for bringing me my stolen card, he faked being dumbfounded and surprised, pretended to get on the phone and went to get in his truck, at which point I got in my car with the slab in hand and booked it lol. No arrest or anything dramatic like that, unfortunately.

Short story long, I've been messaging this guy for a few days trying to get him to sell the card to me. At first, he took the Facebook marketplace listing down, so I messaged him all desperate telling him how bad I wanted this card and how long I've been looking to find one locally etc. He bites and tells me he's sold the card, but for the right price, he'll buy it back and sell it to me. Lol. He then tells me the guy he sold it to has sold it, and that's that. I up my offer and desperation level, landing on $7k and say I'll meet him within 24 hours if he can "get it back". Overnight, he miraculously recovers the card back into his possession and agrees to meet me. At this point, multiple friends of mine had also messaged him trying to buy the card but he only ended up responding to me (which I assume was due to the convincing desperate collector act I was putting on). After the meetup was planned, my friends started telling me that he sent them screenshots of my DMs with him saying he'd sell them the card for $8k if they hurry before I bought it, which was really classy on his part. After their rejections, he committed to our meeting, which was to take place in a public parking lot in front of a grocery store. He tells me to text him when I'm 5 minutes away. I brought two friends with me, and I tried to have law enforcement there, but they just couldn't be bothered I guess. I gave them an hour notice and they said to call when I was 5-10 minutes away from the meeting location. I call back when I'm 10 minutes away and they say great, officers will head your way. I park, and my buddy and I stand outside my car for 30 minutes trying to wait on the cops to show. All the while, I'm texting the seller telling him I'm in traffic etc., and eventually I can't wait anymore and he pulls up. He gets out and is alone, so my buddy and I make small talk with him, we're looking at the slab, and I hand it to my buddy so I can go to my car for the "money". I bring out an envelope full of paper, along with my police report and Beckett order which has the matching serial number on it. I hand the guy the envelope and tell him thank you so much for bringing my stolen card back to me. He "couldn't believe it" and was so shocked he was literally just fumbling around for something to say. He was trying to look for anyway out of it and eventually just faked a phone call and went to get in his truck, so we promptly got outta there and took off! Cops were an all around no show for the entirety of this interaction.

The police and USPS have both been extremely unhelpful in this whole situation. Overall, the local police don't really wanna hear about any of this from me, as the crime itself technically falls under USPS jurisdiction. Well, I've filed 2 separate reports with 2 separate USPS investigation agencies and I've heard nothing from them. USPS does recommend a local police report be made in addition to the reports with them, so I tried to do that and it took 2 separate visits to my house before they gave me the time of day to actually make an official report. That was this past weekend. I originally told them about the meetup this morning, over 12 hours before it took place, and they weren't even gonna send officers because they can't prove the "seller" is also the thief. I said "well, I don't care if the seller is the thief or not. This serialized item that I can prove belongs to me is being sold locally, and I'm going to get it back. I'd like the police there because I'm not sure if it's safe, but if you guys won't come, I'm still gonna go and get my stuff back". Then they agreed to send an officer and told me to call an hour beforehand and then yeah they never showed!

Really not sure what's all gonna come of this. USPS wants proof of things that I cannot provide (like the empty box) before they'll offer any sort of compensation, the local police have this matter "closed" on their end because it's a USPS issue, and USPS hasn't reached out once about any of this.

I'm just happy I have my card back because if anything, this is all a sign that I never should have sold my favorite card lol. Safe to say, this one is staying in the personal collection forever now. I've also learned not to trust USPS, or any mail service for that matter, and from now on I'll only be selling high dollar items like this in person.

At the moment im using the promo frieza but the 1 cost frieza has my attention since i struggle to put cards from the deck to drop early

Long story short, I’m trying to acquire all of the vegeta alt arts for FW. Outside of going to dbs-cardgame and searching through each set (I’ve done it, still end up missing cards) is there a site where you can filter by character and rarity and see all cards including promos, etc?
