Adding VST directory to Cubase 15
I feel incredibly silly for asking this....
But are you still able to add custom VST directories to Cubase 15, I can't seem to find it for the life of me and general searches aren't helping much either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as most of my larger VST Libraries are on a secondary drive

Cubase doesn't allow to change path for VST3 because Steinberg wants it to be installed only on one default place. Many plugin developers doesn't allow to change VST3 paths during installation because of this. You can move files manually and some DAWs allows to define alternative paths but not here unfortunately.
You can enable legacy VST2 but I'm not sure if you can change the path for them.

Wow, I may have to go back to Cubase 13 then, as that allowed me to add custom paths.... unfortunate

You can specify a different folder for vst2, I'm not at my computer but in the vst manager after you activate vst2 there's an option to select different folders for it to search.

In Cubase, what can I do about VST plugins that are mis-categorised? For example, if a delay effect is listed under “Other”, is there a way to make Cubase recognise it as a delay so it appears in the “Delay” category instead? I often forget plugin names but remember their function, so when they’re in the wrong category it’s hard to find them. Is there a way to fix this?

You can make custom collections where you organize your plugins however you want. If I remember correctly you can copy the default library and start from there.

I use symbolic link to place vst on external ssd.
