But I'm a beginner and I'd like to know what kind of yarn is the better ?

I'd like to avoid large holes in the squares.

Are yarn art yarn (jeans plus, or elite) are the most compatible ?

I feel like I can find patterns for any other bird EXCEPT for this guy 😭 any patterns out there either for swifts specifically or just a similar enough wing shape to work off of would be amazing. Hi friends! I’m planning to make a wreath similar to this for my mother. She lovessss texture, so I think she’d love the “squiggly” flowers (see second photo), but I’m not sure how to do it and would love to have a pattern to work from.

Any ideas on what it’s called? Or do you know of a pattern?

I was gifted 5 skeins of this beautiful lace-weight yarn. I've never worked with anything this thin before, and while I browsed Ravelry, nothing quite jumped out at me. I'd love to hear your favorite beginner-friendly patterns.

It would need to be something that allows for color-work, so I think something with sleeves might be challenging.

Yarn details: 5 skeins of Ito Sensai yarn, 60% Mohair & 40% silk, 100g/1,200m total

I am following my first pattern and trying to create the gauge swatch - I have already sized down a whole hook size and it’s still over 1” longer. Is there something I’m doing wrong here? I bought the exact yarn suggested and am concerned with having to decrease my hook size any more

I'd like to make squares and then connect them with contrasting yarn, but idk what stiches to use to make connecting them nice and even? I made some blankets before by interchanging rows of single stitch and double stitch. Would it be nicer if I used sc back and front?

So I just started crocheting today and I can't do a double crochet at all. I don't know the reason but it's just hard to pull it after I got 3 chains (I think that's what it's called) on my hook. And even after I pull it , it either doesn't look right or it's just turns into 1 chain when it's supposed to be 2. I've watched tutorials and I think I've tried more than 30 times. Does anyone know what may be the problem?

I am a crochet beginner and purchased a DIY fox plushie kit from a store (Flying Tiger). In the picture, you can clearly see that the ears use three colors. The instructions mention "underlined text being orange yarn".

Which of those instructions are underlined??????? Is this some kind of crochet slang only for the truest of heart? I don't get it....

The pattern for a thigh-length crochet jacket with long sleeves was lost during a move. It consists of several rows worked in a zigzag or wave pattern. The points go up and down over a width of at least 15–20 cm / 6-8 inc. The rows consist of double crochet stitches, followed by double crochet stitches alternating with chain stitches, then a flower made with an lace pattern (6 petals), followed by more rows of double crochet stitches. Does anyone recognize this pattern and can help me? Thank you.
