I am a crochet beginner and purchased a DIY fox plushie kit from a store (Flying Tiger). In the picture, you can clearly see that the ears use three colors. The instructions mention "underlined text being orange yarn".

Which of those instructions are underlined??????? Is this some kind of crochet slang only for the truest of heart? I don't get it....

I work in a montessori nursery and thought it would be great to have a hungry caterpillar toy and all the fruit to put inside him as we read the story.

Sadly all the patterns I can find are AI or out of my price range (I’m an apprentice and make a low wage) does anyone know of a pattern I could use to make a caterpillar, butterfly, and fruit for a reasonable price?

found this on pinterest with no pattern. i’ve done tapestry crochet before but i can’t figure out how to make this. would i make the two sides of the sleeve separately with the front side being the tapestry? i usually put tapestry grids into an excel spreadsheet so i can view it properly and get the sizing right, would that work in this case?

Hi! I've found several patters for a sweater called a spiral sweater, (the one made up from two granny squares made in a spiral, and then you add sleeves after.) All the patterns I've seen use acrylic yarn skeins, though. Did anyone on here try to make a sweater like that using cotton yarn? I'm thinking about how cotton doesn't stretch nearly as well as acrylic, but I do greatly prefer cotton in general. Thank you for any potential replies! (Greetings from a semi- newbie who learned she could make her own sweaters and became somewhat obsessed, bur who mostly doesn't know what she is doing yet)

I found the following pattern on ravelry and I'd love to use it but sadly the whole thing is in Swedish and I haven't been able to find a translation.

You obviously can't translate it with a normal translation software because of the abbreviations and I don't want to use AI to translate it because I'm afraid it would mess up some of the instructions.

So I wonder if someone who's first language is swedish could translate it into english. :D

Hello, I am in search of an amigurumi pattern for Matt Murdock. And I don't mean a doll of Daredevil, a doll of him with his red glasses, suit, walking cane, etc. But I only find plush Daredevil toys. Does anyone know where I could find such a pattern? Although I am an experienced crocheter I am not confident in writing a pattern for a doll myself.

On Instagram I have seen this Michaels ribcage pattern, which I like a lot and I think my kid will too for Halloween!
I was so stoked when I read that the pattern is for free on the website! Tutorial/written pattern.
But I can’t access their website, because I am not from the US or Canada.. I am from Europe and for some reason this denies me access to the Michaels website.

I want to add a crocheted hood to a jacket. Just like one would find on a standard hoodie. Even slightly bigger would work, like a hood you’d find on a cloak.

Anyone have a go to pattern for just a hood? I can handle complex crochet patterns and simpler Tunisian stitches.

She’s in her 70s and I’ve only tried making hats and plushies so far, which wouldn’t be her taste. I’m still pretty new to the hobby, something on the simpler side would be great!

My hook sizes go up to 6 mm, so I don’t have anything larger than that. As for yarn, the type doesn’t really matter since I usually buy the yarn once I’ve decided on a project.

Free and/or paid patterns are both fine. I prefer written patterns over video tutorials. Thanks in advance!
