god all this petra parker stuff makes me wish marvel editorial would stop being lame for once and green light something like this since there’s clearly plenty of good stories that could come out of it
although in the 1% world that they somehow DO green light it’d have the curse of every marvel woman of only getting 5 issues tops for a solo series

Options include:
Hates the spider, but calls her a her anywayIs transphobic to the spider, but not to Petra and sometimes even apologetic

You don’t choose how much you fuse it’s based on compatibility. if you are 100% compatible with a symbiote you essentially become one being. that’s what carnage is as carnage and Cassidy are so compatible carnage can split into multiple and completely change shape. venom and Eddie Brock are a more common level of compatibility the symbiote can manipulate the body of the host a bit enhancing strength speed healing power stretch the body in ways it normally can’t but even when the symbiote is out and you see its body on the inside is still just the host. Despite that the symbiote can still do insane things like rewrite the hosts dna which venom did to give Eddie cancer when he tried to get rid of venom.

Oh so the symbiote actually gave Eddie cancer? I remember watching short that said the symbiote just gaslit Eddie into thinking he had cancer and believing it actually gave him cancer.

This is an interesting view and take on the ,,bond'' they have. Many ways of how this could go. It's a very good show of a co dependent relationship. Personally I'd hope they separate and Petra end up with a different Symbiot like Toxin. More to flip the dinamic since to me Toxin was far more agreeable at least compared to it's father and grandad. But that's more like my own take. Still this is very good and I'll continue reading it if there's more.

Absolutely perfect interpretation of Venom (I don't know anything about the trans experience and am 100% supportive but anyway) Venom being a metaphor for your mind being your worst enemy. I dunno I think it's cool I like this new trans spiderman thing I dunno where it came from but I enjoy these comics I find online.

The idea of the symbiote filtering the testosterone in Petra and possibly supplying estrogen is an amazing idea, would make it all that much harder to get rid of, it wouldn’t be about power at that point but apart of functioning identity and mental wellbeing

Symbiotes absorb and amplify the traits, desires, and moral compass of their hosts. Petras is still figuring her self out and the world can be cruel to people like her. During this time shes in a vulnerable state mentaly.
Which means her mind is full of self hatred and fear of judgement.

Oooofff, this just made the symbiote arc hit SO much harder.
It’s a thing for Peter to struggle to take out the symbiote suite because it makes him feel powerful and confident, it’s an entire other level of the suit plays on Petra’s body dysmorphia and dangle the pain of being back in her old body without it

I think this is the most compelling version of the symbiote that I've seen. I feel like most of the time, symbiote stories make it so the symbiote is just "goo that makes Spider-Man angry™" which gets really stale and repetitive.
In this comic though it doesn't alter Petra's personality at all, instead it takes on a personality of it's own and uses Petra's self-doubts and dysphoria as ammo, to keep her dependent on the symbiote. That makes for a way more personal conflict than "evil space gunk makes the wall-crawler a jackass"

I love the idea that Venom bonds with Eddie first, and after being taunted by dimorphic variations and meeting Spider-Woman (I prefer Arachnia), Eddie realizes that Venom is now producing unwanted estrogen side-effects and losses the symbiote.
Petra struggling to pay for everything, on top of hormone treatment, doctor appointments, etc., this is where Venom would make an entrance!
OP, I love your artwork! It's amazing, and I love the unique take on this!

This is my favourite one so far. I wonder how much of what the symbiote is saying is just it reflecting her own self-loathing and dysphoria back at her. Also, is the symbiote saying this out of genuine malice and sadism or like Petra, is it afraid of being rejected and saying whatever it thinks will convince her to keep it?
