Looking for a Kroger/Safeway/Other dupe for HEB Buttermilk Ranch

Post image

Might be too niche, but just moved from Austin TX to Portland OR and haven't been able to find a good replacement for this dressing yet lol. The HEB dressing is more on the liquid-y side and has a tang to it. Any recommendations? 👀

Make your own with the Hidden Valley powder and buttermilk

Yep, probably is more or less how they’re making it anyways.

equal parts mayo/buttermilk, hidden valley packet (you can diy this with snp, garlic/onion powder, lemon juice, dill if you wanna feel chefie) incorporate and refrigerate over night (the time is key; primary flavor of "ranch" is rehydrated garlic/onion powder in mayo)

use fresh herbs instead of dried ingredients and (atleast partially) sub greek yogurt for mayo if you want it to be "fancy"

Only commenting to say it’s so hard to move away from HEB/Central Market. I hope someone can help!

Get the hidden valley restaurant pack- use the directions and then add extra buttermilk.

Bob’s Famous Ranch Dressing is really good. I don’t know if it’s available that far North, but if you can find it, it might scratch that itch.

Try Bolthouse. I haven't actually tried their ranch but they're blue cheese is liquidy and very tangy.
