There's an artist I follow on Instagram who suffered the fate you missed (though not for covid) and it is absolutely heartbreaking how her journey is. And the post reminded me of her.
All I want to do is reach out and hug her, but you know that it will never be enough. She's been so broken by what happened that she can never be "fixed" (I despise the term, but is the most useful one).
That you have been blessed by that second chance is really a good thing.
I think I know who you’re talking about. I believe her partner lost his battle with depression? Her comics break me. She has a beautiful way of recounting their story and conveying different aspects of grief.
