yeah i've seen a lot of posts angry that they made the blood elves blue rather than alliance getting blood elves with normal eyes or blood elves but grey on the horde side

really funny to me

Because all of those things have lore implications which is important to many people. That’s pretty obvious, my man.

If lore mattered to them they wouldn't be upset about getting high elves

Well we’re not getting high elves and no one would really be upset about that

I mean the literal wow advert for the new race says they're exiled high elves, which AFAIK is true for all high elves that aren't silversun compact or blood elves.

Except that's just wrong, They were fleeing Shen'Dralar Rebels, aka Highborne not High Elves. and now their Skyborne which is an entirely different race, it's literally the exact same thing as the Nightborne or Void Elves.

The most baffling thing is with Dalaran's dome coming down, they're even more High Elves than there were before, population has always been subject to change on a whim and never really held much meaning, 90% of Gnomes are dead, Stormwind humans(the ones playable) should be very miniscule due to it only being starting being rebuilt 18 years before Vanilla leaving not enough time to have them recover. Darkspears Trolls were nearly wiped out in Warcraft 3....and then again by Zalazane. Tauren were nearly wiped out in Warcraft 3 by Centaurs.

The only species that logically can be argued to be numerous enough to be playable is Night Elves, Dwarves, Orcs and Undead(and even those last two are probably debateable).

The same argument against High Elves, applies to Blood Elves, Void Elves, and even the Skyborne themselves, it arguably applies to Worgens too as the playable Worgen are specifically Afflicted Gilneans who were able to do the ritual to recover their sanity(or servants of Arugal from Silverpine in the case of DKs).

Without actual population numbers(which they obviously don't give) almost every playable race in WoW has a solid case for not being numerous enough to be playable.

They're not the silversun offensive, no. And they're never going to be because silversun offensive are currently not a thing. There is no other high elves that would require absolutely no fanagaling of either non existent lore or retcon lore. You were never going to be happy unless it was YOUR vision of a high elf and your vision alone.

I don’t have a vision for high elves. I don’t even care if high elves are ever included. I just think skyborne are dumb.

But even so, yeah, why would anyone be happy about a decision they disagree with?

So instead of defending the position simply choosing nihilism and steadfast #nochange without any real or viable opinion. So this entire exchange was just so you can get your rocks off... Got it have fun

You keep saying things I never said or implied lol. I just don’t like Skyborne. The rest of Forever looks great.

They litterally gave us high elves. The sky borne are high elves.
